One True Friend
One True Friend by Joyce Hansen was a great book. It was about a boy named Amir who lived in a foster home. Originally, he lived in the Bronx until his parents died. He still kept in touch with his friend, Doris. They were the best of friends. She gave him advice on what to do in certain situations. In his foster home, he lived with one of his youngest brothers named Ronald. His family was split up.

I really enjoyed this book. I couldn't put it down. It expresses that even if you move far away, you still have friends and family that keep in touch with you. True friends care about you and will always be your friend no matter what. You still have someone to look up to. These are people you should want to be friends with.

My favorite part in this book was when all of Amir's brothers and sisters came to visit Ronald and Amir in the foster home. His auntie and uncle came along also. They were all so glad to see each other again. They all had a feast together. After, Amir drew a picture and the other kids played basketball until it was time to go back home.

One of the best literary magazines around
Open City consistently publishes great stories, poems, essays, and artwork. I look forward to each issue, because each one is so different, and because this magazine continues to be vital and relevant, esp. because many literary magazines are so staid and dull....

Mrs. Wickersham's Library Class Review
I think this book is great because it's about soccer and I like soccer. Bundy's grandfather used to babysit but he's moving to Florida so Bundy needs a new babysitter but he doesn't want one. If you want to know more, read this book!

marvellous
I am almoust sure that mathematicians and "orthodox" economists do not like this book but for graduates with a lousy background in and a certain degree of fear of mathematics it is a perfect tool to begin and get affected.

Orangeburgh District, 1768-1868: History and Records
Published in Hardcover by Reprint Co (31 October, 1998)

Amazon base price: $50.00

One of the best
This book is an almost indispensable tool for genealogists researching in South Carolina and the area known as the old Orangeburgh District. Lack of official records in South Carolina, especially in the "burned counties," makes it frustratingly difficult to track down the kind of information that fills in the gaps for family historians. Culler's efforts have brought together a wealth of information about the area, not only the bare facts and figures, but the kind of details that make the people and places come alive. Chapters include Nineteenth Century Homes, Churches and Their Influence, Newspapers and Periodicals, Blacks--Slave and Free, Schools Academies and Teachers, Lawyers Legislators and Public Officials, among others. There is also information from the 1850 Orangeburgh District census, listings of Confederate Military Companies, listings of local legislators, and more. While there are occasional factual mistakes, the book is well-researched and generally quite accurate.

The Masterpiece
Daniel Richter, in this astonishing book, does an excellent job explaining social, political and economical aspects of the Iroquois people with strong evidence. This book is a resutl of a big reserach and Richter's dedication to the subject. I would recommend this book not only to students who need to take Native American History, but also to anyone who is interested in learning about the Iroquoi's life and their impacts on the French, the England, and the Dutch in the 17th and 18th centuries. Even though i am not a native speaker, i really enjoyed reading this book because of Richter's plain English.

A VERY HANDY BOOK FROM THE MASTER OF THIS BUSINESS
Well...I am a little (!) biased at the get-go in writing this review since I know Dr. Shanefield in person (in fact his office is next to mine!). This book aims at providing the reader with a sound backround in ceramic processing, as well as the essential "working tools" needed in real life. It is written rather densely. You will find useful information in almost every single sentence of the book. The text is nothing but a reflection of the infamous DJ Shanefield trademark of competence that is recognized all over the world (spanning three successful decades of industrial research).
The book addresses all the main aspects of ceramic processing (from powder characteristics to colloidal processing and sintering) and provides the reader with great insights into the underlying chemical phenomena from an operational point of view. What I particularily like about this book is its very concise summary of the underlying organic chemistry principles of binders. Consequently, the reader does not have to make recourse to organic chemistry books and extract the necessary background information for him/herself. This book, terefore, is a very valuable source in aquiring the threshold amount of information on organic chemistry for an array of applications in processing science.
The book also contains many case studies (including laboratory experiments) at the end that are derived from the author's many years of experience in industry. Many footnotes are included in the book as well, which are very entertaining and educational. In my opinion, the book deserves special recognition since it blends "science" and real life together in a very effective and balanced manner, which some of us simply call Engineering! Specifically, in this book the reader is exposed to problem solving en lieu of being bombarded by a wealth of encyclopedic information which, unfortunately, is the case with many books on this subject. I highly recommend this book to those who want learn more about Ceramic Processing.

Excellent for primary care providers
I got this book by mistake, but on reading over it, I realized it is excellent. Most primary care providers have woefully little training and experience in common musculoskeletal disorders and there is much here that is not only interesting, but very helpful. If nothing else, reading it over and keeping it for a reference greatly increases one's awareness of musculoskeletal problems and how they are handled. Great for talking over cases with orthopedists. I had to learn most of this the hard way. Having had this long ago would have made my practice so much easier.

Excellent start to build strategic systems of your church
I got this book 2 years ago and it has been a prized reference for me. The ideas presented in the book will challenge old paradigms and stir up strategic thinking & evaluation of your church. Daniel Brown will bring you into thinking of designing a process that transforms people's life (as in a river) instead of just focusing on programs, attendance, performance, series of unconnected events just to attract people (as in a lake). If you are serious about strategizing your church to transform people's life, get this book.
