Follow Your Dream

This was a wonderful, enchanting and inspiring book.
I became a fan of Daniel O'Donnell when he came to Derry in N. Ireland, to promote the Samaritans as its Patron. He struck me as such an appealing personality, with that quality of the ordinary, yet special that contributes to the making of a real star.

I bought his book! And I found the style and content so appealing for several different reasons.

Being of an Irish background myself, I thought his description of childhood in Ireland was a most appealing and very true representation. So often we are only faced with the worst senarios and it is a wonderful relief to know that someone sees his childhood as a time of joy, happiness and caring as my own was. In this way, I loved being able to identify with the lifestyle that Daniel described.

His rise to fame, and his struggle to achieve his goals was again presented as an enjoyable experience not a great struggle against adversity and oppression. He gives credit to all who helped and guided him along the way, from the people he worked with to the fans he sang to. It is so nice to read such pleasanteries.

The whole tone of the book is one of a happy life certainly with struggles but without misery - the type of life many can identify with which ends in a success story wich we all love to hear and hope for.

There are many humerous anecdotes which really lighten up the whole story, simple but true and all the funnier for being so.

I thought this a wonderful tonic of a book!

EXCELLENT
I FOUND THIS BOOK TO BE VERY ENJOYABLE. IT TOUCHED MANY EMOTIONS WITHIN ME. I LAUGHED, I CRIED, I BECAME ANGRY, AND I BECAME ELATED. I WAS ESPECIALLY HAPPY WHEN HEZEKIAH WAS ABLE TO OUT WITT HIS MASTER. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ANY YOUNG CHILD FOR THERE ARE MANY LESSONS TO BE GLEENED FROM THIS STORY. MS. COLEMAN HAS DONE AN EXCELLENT JOB IN SHARING AFRICAN AMERICAN HISTORY WITH CHILDREN OF ALL RACES. MY HAT IS OFF TO MS. COLEMAN. MAY SHE CONTINUE TO SHARE HER TALENT WITH US ALL.

A True Classic
This book contains a very interesting story and adventure of a West African Hunter in a dreadful forest, who eventually found the secret of lasting happiness and peace of mind. The author is Daniel Fagunwa. Wole Soyinka, a Nobelist translated the story. This book had 140 pages of jam-packed action.

The reader is easily swept away by many adventure of the heroic hunter in this book. The story is captivating, and emotion-ladden, and by the time the reader hit page 20, you wont feel like dropping the book until you finish reading it.

Although it contains some archaic thoughts about superstition and magic, it is a really good adventerous book I've read.

The Fortunate Mistress: Or, a History of the Life of Mademoiselle Debeleau, Known by the Name of the Lady Roxana

"Roxana" rocks
Defoe's heroine is not unlike his more famous protagonist, Robinson Crusoe. Both simply do what it takes to survive, although Roxanna must survive as an abandoned single mother in a heartless city, and Crusoe must survive on a deserted island. If Crusoe suffers from not having enough people in his life, Roxanna suffers from having too many. She is constantly trying to re-make herself, to hide from the people who knew her in a former identity, and to increase her personal independence at the price ofsacrificing any binding ties of love or family. This novel also has the strangest ending of anything I've read in quite a while-"unliterary," perhaps, but sometimes LIFE is just unliterary.

Excellent undergraduate sport psychology textbook!
I have used this book in my undergraduate course in sport psychology at Georgia Southern University since the first edition. This text does a good job of explaining theories and and describing sport psychology applications. Weinberg and Gould have developed a well organized, resourceful, and easy-to-read book that my students have enjoyed reading. College professors, this book has excellent ancillary materials.
