Mosby's 1999-2000 IS THE BEST
I THINK THIS BOOK IS THE BEST. THIS IS THE BEST BOOK I EVER READ. I LEARN SO MUCH IN THIS BOOK. I WOULD ABSOLUTLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO THE REST OF MY STAFF TEACHERS AND MY FRIENDS.I HOPE THEY HAVE MORE MOSBY'S MEDICAL BOOKS. I CAN FINALLY HAVE SOMETHING GOOD TO TEACH MY HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.

A Must Have!
Mosby's 1999-2000 Medical Drug Reference is a MUST HAVE for the Medical Transcriptionist. I have found it, by far, to have the most up-to-date drug references available, which enables me to complete the tasks-at-hand more efficiently.

MSG is Everywhere
Published in Mass Market Paperback by Wilhelmina Books (20 October, 1996)
Author: Daniel A. Twogood
Amazon base price: $5.95

Small but potent: this book is a handy guide
Hydrolyzed vegetable protein? MSG, Monosodium glutamate, flavor enhancer, yeast extract? How can you avoid MSG if you know you are sensitive to it, or just don't want it in your diet? This is a very handy guide to fit in your pocket or purse. You can check the ingredients of common foods to make sure you aren't ingesting this additive. While foods are labelled by law in the US as to their ingredients and nutritional content (a great thing), you do need to know the alternate names MSG goes by. It IS everywhere.

If you are sensitive to MSG or want to eliminate additives in your diet, you should also read "Excitotoxins" by Blaylock, which explains why MSG is not good for you.

A great practical guide to finding and avoiding MSG
MSG is in Everything is a great "pocket sized" practical guide to MSG and excitotoxins. This book identifies the common foods that contain MSG and excitotoxins. You'll be surprised where you find it (canned tuna for example). This book is also great for the chiropractor, physician, TCM practitioner or other professional who wishes to educate their patients on eating right.

Short, but well written. 5 - Stars

My Angel Daniel: Angel, Notebooks 1-4: Early Dawn of "True Life in God" (True Life in God Series)

Miraculous Writings
This book is only the beginning of a series of 11 volumes written over 17 years! Vassula Ryden was approached by her Guardian Angel one day for the eventual purpose of being taught by God Himself (just as He tells us in scriptures "my children will be taught by Me") to write a 'Prophetic Call' to ALL humanity for peace, love, repentance and reconciliation...very much in the way the 'Old Testament'prophets wrote to warn people of their sinful nature and evil in the world and how they needed to repent and live a holier life to reduce evil in the world, when they were approached by God. Vassula is NOT a theologan or a philosopher and never had formal training on ANY religion, so it is quite impossible for her to know ALL of the spiritual matters in which she writes, which proves she is authentic as she does NOT speak of her own authority. These messages are a great treasure Jesus has been saving for "Our Times." It is evident that this charism has PROFOUNDLY changed her life as being a simple housewife with 2 children, she, like many of us, was far from God, living her own elaborate life... has made approx 750 trips all around the world from Shri Lanka to California (travels through charity) to speak in places we could hardly imagine, to share God's Love for us, FREE OF CHARGE, she does not receive nor ask for any money, but asks that we learn to give charity from our hearts to others, in fact proceeds from the sale of tapes and books and any donations go to fund the 11 homes for the poor that this ministry has founded as well as offset any publishing costs generously donated by those who labor for LOVE to print and issue the books to those who cannot afford to buy them, for this pleases God. God's Word should be FREE to all and NOT sold for profit(remember Jesus in the Temple and His anger at those who explioted)! We are in the End of Times and He is trying to break through our deafness to save us before these times of Mercy come to an end (and they will). These messages have many different themes (one is Christian Unity) and contain many prophecies about things that have happened already as well as things yet to come about, such as the fall of communism (prophecied 4 years before) to the The World Trade Center (prophecied 10 years ago to the EXACT DAY SEPT 11, 1991) to the rise of the Antichrist and to the TRIUMPHANT VICTORY of Jesus! These messages tell us nothing new from scriptures and in fact it is encouraged that you READ SCRIPTURES when reading True Life in God. There are many prayer groups established around the world and these messages have been published in 38 languages! ....

....

A book worth reading and rereading all over again!
The book "My Angel Daniel" chronicles the life of Vassula Ryden who like the rest of us has forgotten God. Then one day, her hand was slowly guided and her angel introduced himself to her through writing. Thus begins Vassula's account of her relationship with her Angel Daniel, God and Jesus, her transformation and purification and finally God's message to us that we are NEVER alone. His message that His love for us is unconditional and His fervent wish for mankind to repent and to go back to Him. I was so inspired by Vassula because like her I lost my faith. I wandered for almost a year, becoming agnostic and feeling angry that God has forgotten me. I read all kinds of spiritual books but none has made the same impact as reading Vassula's account. The book made me go back to my faith and it made me see that God is never silent, hidden and uncaring. He is love and His desire for us is to trust Him that He has everything planned out for us. This book, by all means, deserve every bit of the five stars.

My Body--His Temple: The Prophet Daniel's Guide to Nutrition

Looks to most reliable source--Bible--for dietary principles
What should you eat, and why? You might find those attempting to answer this question on late night infomercials or on the talk-show circuit, but rarely will you find dietary considerations discussed from a church pulpit. That is exactly why My Body-His Temple is a rare find for the Christian. It is an opportunity to explore one's dietary habits and choices from a Christian point of view-a refreshing change of perspective from those who are hawking fad diets or are seeking to advance an animal-rights agenda. Instead, My Body-His Temple looks to the most reliable source-the Bible-to establish essential dietary principles. This resource provides a natural avenue of growth for the Christian who has the awareness that obedience to God is far more than attending the church of your choice; rather, obedience to God is a way of life.

Recommended reading for the nutritionally challenged!
If you are a Christian, and even mildly concerned about your own health or the health of your family, then My Body-His Temple: The Prophet Daniel's Guide to Nutrition is the book to get you going. Not only is it informative, it's motivational. The author gives scriptural reference for many points included in the book so you can go to your own copy of the Bible and see for yourself how God intended for us to nourish ourselves. My Body-His Temple reads well and it's interesting. The vegetarian recipes included are a nice bonus and make the book well worth the money spent. I consider this book recommended reading for the nutritionally challenged (namely me).

Wonderful!
The New Spring, as its title implies, is a novel about renewal. The story unfolds as Kensaburo, a Japanese soldier returning home in the aftermath of World War II, comes to terms with shattering changes in himself, his family and his nation. Dan Karasik's familiarity with the people and mores of postwar Japan gives this plot credence and brings his characters alive. His despcritive passages about Ken's physical world linger in our minds. As his protagonist adapts to reality, so do we. This is a lovely book by a generous writer. You will find pleasure within its pages.

A well-crafted story
The New Spring is a poignant story of a Japanese soldier returning home after his country's defeat in World War Two. Written by a former naval officer who witnessed postwar Japan first-hand, it is filled with detail and insight. Ken, the novel's protagonist, must, as his Emperor put it, endure the unendurable. He comes home to a society devastated by war and governed by the former enemy, whose attitude toward the Japanese ranges from vindictiveness to compassion. In the course of the narrative, we see Ken's alienation abate and his nation's traditions survive. The New Spring is recommended to readers interested in Japanese society and the experiences of returning soldiers of any war. More broadly, it will be appreciated by anyone who enjoys a well-written story.

New Testament Revelations of Jesus of Nazareth
Published in Paperback by Foundation Church of Divine Truth (June, 1997)
Authors: James E. Padgett and Daniel G. Samuels
Amazon base price: $29.95

I LOVE THIS BOOK ... because ...
I LOVE THIS BOOK ... because it conveys many interesting truths about the earth life of Jesus of Nazareth, it corrects mistakes of the present bible and also informs the reader of Jesus` actual mission - to let us know about our Heavenly Father`s never failing and always uplifting Love for his children, HIS DIVINE LOVE.

I LOVE THIS BOOK ... because it contains many interesting messages, received through automatic writing and signed by the highest of celestial angels including the apostles John and Paul and Luke as well as many others, above all, of course, messages signed by Jesus himself.

I LOVE THIS BOOK ... because, besides telling me alot about Jesus and God`s Love for us, it also includes messages dealing with the questions of how we - as simple human beings - can finally become angels, what`s the use of personal soulful prayer and how spiritual healing works.

I can only recommend this book.

A must read for any serious seeker/student of Truth
New Testament Revelations of Jesus of Nazareth are so revolutionary in scope as to be dangerous to the orthodox mindset. I was astounded at how logical and scientific the "true story" as presented by those who supposedly were there ,..came across. But most astonishing of all is the level of "soul" information being communicated by these Angelic spirits. If the teachings presented in this wonderful book ever reach the world at large...everything will change for the better ..forever. A must read! Rev. Jimmy Walsh

A brief history of the New York canal system
This is a brief history of the New York State Canal system. While the Erie Canal is by far the most successful and famous canal, many other were constructed during the canal building era, not all were successful or wise. This book is a history of the canals that were built and their evolution into the 1990's. This is a must read book for anyone that has any interest in New York State history.

One of Dr. Larkin's Best
This book is an excellent work on the impact of canals on early American life in New York. Extremely well written and researched it belongs in every library. Easy to read and full of details I would recommend this book 100%. Dr. Larkin is an excellent author and produces excellent texts so if you have a chance to read his other works then do so!! The impact of canals on New York was a key factor in its becomming the Empire State and if you have an interest in NY's history this book is invaluable.

Buy it you won't regret it!

A GREAT FIND...
I picked this book up at a used bookstore and can't believe I've never heard of this author. I am published with the same parent company and have come across another fantastic horror book that had been allowed to 'go out of print' from the same company, so I shouldn't be surprised. But I am.

Where ever you are Daniel Rhodes, please come back and share more of your stories. You're a part of the cream of the crop. The horror genre is in deep need of you!

REAL HORROR !!
This is a great horror novel . No psychological bs here. It has Templar knights , ancient evil and enough chills to keep you awake to the early hours.

Very amusing and interesting
Any animal lover will like this book. But this book is not just for animal enthusiats. The obstacles the author overcomes to become the first lady veterinarian in America is astonishing. She became highly successful and had people seeking her out because of her advanced study of surgery on horses who previously would have had to have been put down. This book is well-written and very funny. Anyone who likes James Herriott will definetly enjoy this book.

An eminently entertaining book.
I lost this book several years ago in a house fire. Nonetheless, I often think about the delightful escapades and endearing anecdotes. Phyllis Lose's intelligence, heart, courage, and sense of humor come through loud and clear. Her story of going to Veterinary School at a time when women vets were few and far between is an inspiration. Having this book out of print is a shame. This is a must read for any young person who loves animals (or anyone else needing to break down barriers)

Not Just a Brilliant Illustrator
Dan Brereton is nothing short of a genius. I actually picked up one of the individual comics of this collection several years ago, intrigued by the art. Then I fell in love with the characters and story line, searching all of the local comic shops for years to get the whole story. Halloween is, without a doubt, my favourite time of the year and Dan Brereton has made it into a believable year 'round exisitence. The symbolism and imagination is all there, with the D.B. added magic. Everytime I hear that Mr. Brereton is putting out another story I anxiously await its release. I would recommend this, or any other Nocturnals story, to any lover of the great "graphic novel" or art, as the art is what really sets this apart from the pack. For any "Halloween Girl" (or Boy), it is a must have in your collection!

Nocturnals shall live again!
Nocturnal's Black Planet is a compliation of previously release issues. It wasn't given the recognition it deserved due to the over-population of other new comics at the time. Dan Brereton is the creator of this epic. He vividly & lusciously illustrated each and every panel to a point where you can sense it. The story consists of what you don't see often enough these days...imagination. Isn't that what comics try to aim for? To enhance visually and intellectually? Nocturnals exceeds in both fields and then some. It has elements of fantasy, horror, and even a little comedy. All in all, making it a well worthwhile journey. If you enjoy Nocturnal, spread the word. Also, if you would like to see more, go check out The Crow: Shattered Lives & Broken Dreams, which features the Nocturnals in a short story.
