The Great Book of Trains
A very useful book for a Rail Fan. It offers information for beginners as well as seasoned readers.

What is amazing is that this book contains good color pictures, technical specifications and history for the locomotives that no longer are in operation. It also offers similar details about current locomotives.

The scope of this book is very wide. It covers steam, diesel and electric locomotives, operated by different railways all over the world.

A great book for serious readers.

A unique, informative, original, & engaging literary study.
Fans of Conan Doyle's adventure fiction now have an important reference to consult when considering his works and settings: a survey of the Napoleonic era which influenced Doyle to create the character of one Brigadier Gerard, whose adventures ran after Holmes had been killed off in 1893. This study considers all his Napoleonic works, analyzing methods and plots alike.

Greek Folk Religion

Rites of Demeter Demystified
I enjoyed Nilssons in depth discussion of the Eleusian Mysteries. He takes into account the climatic conditions specific to the Mediterranean. For example, Kore is relegated to the underworld during that time of year which is most unforgiving to human existence, in this case the months of July, August and September when the rains have ceased. This is altogether an excellent reference book. Nilsson himself having grown up in a rural setting is very familiar with folkways. An interesting read.

My Favorite Machen
I've read quite a few of Machen's books and short stories and this one is my favorite. The writing style is beautiful and poetic and there's a sense of sinister mystery pervading the whole thing. It gave me a lovely, spine-tingling feeling. A truly great read!

Groucho: A Tender Comedy
I recently produced and starred in 'Groucho: A Life in Revue' here in Salt Lake City and allow me to say that it is simply an amazing script, not to mention a dream for any actor to play. The play spans Groucho's life from age 15 to 85 and includes wonderful re-creations of his best comic bits. At the center of this play is Groucho's relationship with Chico. Must reading for any Marx Brother fan and a show so fun and tender that even those unfamiliar with the great comic will be moved.

Great Book for Locals and Visitors!
We have family that lives throughtout the world. In order for them to get an idea of what our home, the Hampton Roads area, is like, this book is fantastic! Before this was published there wasn't a book available with good photographs, and up-to-date information about just the Hampton Roads area. The books that were published focused on Williamsburg, civil war history, and the old plantation homes. The photos are fantastic, the text is well written, and it is current information. We have purchased three of these books already, and will get more for other family members and friends. Great Book!
