Following Gods guidance, wherever He may lead...
This book provides you an opportunity to know about the lives of Chuck & Donna Thomas and their wonderful work at Project Partner.

Chuck & Donna went through a lot, took tremendous risks (personally and financially), and accomplished so much in furthering Gods Kingdom. This book is a great document of the eternal legacy of their work following God's leading by stepping out of the cookie-cutter approach to missions we have traditionally known.

Moreover, this is a testament to the extraordinary things that God can do through ordinary people who will listen and follow His guidance, wherever He may lead... even over "mountains".

Climb Another Mountain
Because of Donna Thomas, I've stooped in the hot afternoon sun of India to give a cup of cool water and a ladle of steaming rice to lepers in India. I've seen the orphan children who were left to die in the streets now learning to read and write in the classrooms of the children's homes. I've walked with barefoot pastors into those remote villages and watched the light shine in the eyes of the people as they heard, for the very first time in their lives, about a God who loves them and can help them with their problems.

This book is a collection of stories by a woman who was once a stay-at-home mom in Kansas until that Christmas when she and her husband and her three boys crossed the Rio Grande into Mexico to visit a missionary. The stories trace the founding of a prototype organization that has changed the face of missions around the world.

Climb Another Mountain will take you to India too, and Cuba, and China, and Nicaragua, and Guatemala as you relive with the author some of the most amazing experiences in short-term missions you will ever hear. But mostly, and more importantly, it will take you to the foot of the "mountain" your feet are intended to climb. It will challenge you and direct you to step outside of your world into a world of adventure with God.

Praise for Clown Ministry handbook
Arguably, The book on clown ministry. An excellent resource on gospel clowning (it's not focusing intently on creating make-up or other "clown" activities, but rather how the clown becomes a gospel clown). An excellent resource with several skits as well as interviews with several gospel clowns across the country.

Excellent resource for people interested in Clown Ministry
This book begins with the history of Christian clowning, taking you back to the Roman Empire, then brings you forward to today. Interviews and profiles with Floyd Shaffer and other "greats". Several interesting and useful skits in the end. A great investment

Second part of an important book over Aztecs' civilisation
Here is the last part of Aztecs' History in CHIMALPAHIN's compiling. It's followed by a precious kind of calendar by CHIMALPAHIN himself. A prime material to understand Aztecs' meaning of life. I'm waiting for the 4 other books of this exceptional collection of indigenous testimonies (Please excuse my bad English: I'm an usual French writer)

An important book over Aztecs' civilization
There are many "Codices" about MesoAmerica. This one is presented as a translate of primitive nahuatl compiling of Aztecs' History. An important contribution to Mexican History. The total collection counts 6 books; two are now available.

If Resources Are Limited....
Athletes are coached to "play within themselves" while striving to set new performance standards. In the business world (as Buckingham and Coffman explain in First, Break All the Rules), the most effective managers are those who focus almost entirely on their people's talents and get those talents in proper alignment with the tasks to be completed. The United States military services (especially the Marine Corps) take an entirely different approrach: Through what is indeed basic training, they require everyone involved to master essentially the same skills, within the same schedule, under the same conditions, etc. Only later are graduates of this rigorous process selected to receive more specialized training, usually according to their talents.

This book will be especially valuable to those organizations which have limited resources to invest in formal training. More than 90% of what is learned in any workplace is the result of on-the-job (i.e. informal) training. Collins and Bolger have obviously taken a close look at all manner of formal training programs, including those in the military srevices. They also fully understand the importance of informal training. If your organization has limited resources but a great need to increase the value of its human capital (i.e. increasing the quantity and -- especially -- the quality of what they understand and what they can do), what this book offers would be an excellent starting point. I'm not damning with faint praise. Eventually, if and when appropriate, I would then recommend Peter Senge's The Fifth Discipline and The Dance of Change.

All organizations, regardless of size or nature, must constantly focus on increasing the effectiveness of on-the-job training. There are always at least a few people in each corporate department or small-to-midsize company who are both knowledgable and passionate. "They really know their stuff." They love to explain what they do and how they do it. Others probably think of them as "born teachers." Put them to work as trainers and be sure to reward them generously for their services. Provide books such as Collins and Bolger's to assist their preparation. One effective strategy is to have them conduct what I call "brown bag seminars." Employers or supervisors provide the food and beverages, welcome the participants, wish them well, and then leave the room. Any organization's most valuable assets really do "walk out the door at the end of each day." It is also important to remember that those assets are located between two ears.

Easy to Understand Approach to Training -- Pratical
A very good read if you are looking to improve the quality of your training programs. Stresses the importance of continuity, breadth, and the leadership role. If you are tired of elaborate and expensive training programs which are difficult to develop and sustain (and therefore not that effective!), you might want to try this book out! I have never served in the military yet found it quite useful. Good civilian application if you understand the military.

A Complete Guide to Heraldry
Published in Hardcover by Grammercy (December, 1993)

A Fine Book
This work is basically an abridged version of the same author's "The Art of Heraldry", and makes a fine introduction to the science. It covers all the important areas of heraldry, without getting bogged down with too much historical trivia. One should note, however, that there are different editions- I have seen copies of this book with colour plates and with b&w reproductions of the same.

An excellent guide for heralds of all levels
This is a classic work of heraldry, covering a vast range of knowledge. Fox-Davies' provides in-depth analysis of the history behind charges used in heraldry, explains many famous devices in heraldry and dispels many common heraldic myths. If you are interested in heraldry, this is the book to get

Complex Variables
Published in Paperback by Hungry Minds, Inc (June, 1971)
Author: Arthur Hauser
Amazon base price: $4.25
Average review score:

Excellent Introduction to Complex Variable
This is an intermediate book on Complex Variable, and it keeps a very similar line to the exposed one in the books of summaries Schaum, but with very significant differences as for the development of the exercises refers. Existing excellent texts on Complex Variable, this book is an excellent introduction to the topic, and it will give you the necessary tools for more advanced studies, as the potential theory , for example. To study this text you need to know calculus of functions of several variables and all that in it this implied, although the book is almost autocontained. It is extensive in examples and exercises that make of the book a good reference practice.

But one cannot say that the book is novel .It doesn't leave the classic line of the elementary calculus with the complex numbers. It follows practically the same developments of any book of elementary calculus: Complex Numbers, Functions of a Complex Variable, Analytic Functions, Elementary Functions, Integrals, Successions and Series, and Comformal Mapping. The development is highly classic. So if you look at this book with the desire of finding on it something novel or advanced topics, this it is not the book. But if you want to undertake the study of the analysis of the complex variable, this it is an excellent text.

I'not speak english. revisaré el temario.
necesito comprar este libro y aquí en méxico no es fácil adquirirlo. sería de gran utilidad si me dijeran como adquirir varios ejemplares.

The best gyn reference textbook
Very well written and practically laid out. Superior to Novak's, Kistner, or Danforth.

A truly comprehensive, clearly written gynecology text.
I found Comprehensive Gynecology to be the best text I have read in this field. It is clear and consise yet comprehensively summarizes the current literature on each topic. Each chapter begins with a glossary of terms and ends with an excellent point by point review of key concepts. The text covers basic sciences, comprehensive evaluation of the female, general gynecology, gynecologic oncology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility. The chapters are well organized and include a synopsis of the current literature. I would recommend this text to anyone studing for fellowship exams. I have also read Copeland's Gynecology and in comparison found Comprehensive Gynecology to be superior in organization and readability.

The Cookbook Decoder

The Right Chemistry
Arthur Grosser makes acquiring useful knowledge an appetising prospect. This book's combination of chemical facts, easy and delicious recipes and fun cartoons makes it an excellent read and a useful gift. The text is clear, the style amusing and the results gratifyingly edible - and drinkable - try recipe 121 followed by 120!

Cooking is not just for eating
I am both a chemist and an amateur chef. I have, on occasion, cooked chinese food for as many as 25 people - which is not bad considering that I am not Chinese! But, of course, the question that always lies at the back of my mind when making something is "why?" as in "why do eggs turn white when fried?" or "why does cornstarch thicken a sauce?". Arthur Grosser's "The Cookbook Decoder or Culinary Alchemy Explained" answers these questions and many more. It is an engaging tour through the chemistry behind cooking by a master chef. It is filled with gentle explanations and interesting experiments. And some absolutely delightful recipes. What more can you want in a book?

Corbin on Contracts: One Volume Edition

Thoroughly Resourceful
If your passionate about learning the law of contracts or simply want to have a secondary legal resource for contracts at your finger-tips - this is the book. Very well-written, but very long, this book has been a valuable resource and guide for me.

Corbin in One Volume: A Good Overview
This is the seminal multi-volume work reduced to a single volume. As all law students know, Corbin is one of the great masters of contract law; his multi-volumn work is often quoted by courts. This single volume is an excellent overview of the concepts embodied in his expanded treatise. Practicioners beware, the single volume omits entire sections of the multi-volume work, and leaves out virtually all of the case citations and footnotes so important for writing legal documents. All in all the single volume is a good quick reference, but you will need the multi-volume work for the more in-depth treatment required for everyday legal work.
