A book that has all the ingredients for a marvellous movie
I wonder why Hollywood has not yet discovered this book: it has all the ingredients for a box-office hit - sailing in the Baltics, scenic sea- and landscapes, a romantic love affair of a British writer and the private secretary of Leon Trotsky. And the background - the Russian revolution, Estonia's struggle for independence. Rare photos illustrate the book. A must for the romantic sailor!

Well written, interesting, and easy to read
I am a student at SUNY Binghamton and have been tought by Professor Arthur. This particular book I have dissected for two classes, and tought as a TA for one class. This book consists of articles written by such philosophers as Dworkin, Hart, etc as well as brief summaries and questions for each. This book truly is a masterful piece and should be taught in any philosophy of law undergrad course.

Great teaching aid for high school English classes
I have my students in my English class read both The Crucible and Death of a Salesman. The articles in Readings on Arthur Miller were extremely helpful; the students gained a greater understanding of Miller. The critiques are easy to read, edited flawlessly, and cover a wide range of topics. The biography of Miller was also very helpfu

Realignment and Party Revival : Understanding American Electoral Politics at the Turn of the Twenty-First Century
Published in Hardcover by Praeger Publishers (June, 2000)
Author: Arthur Paulson
Amazon base price: $79.95

The Good, the Bad, and the Realignment
Before I start, I just want to say that I was a student of Professor Paulson, take from that what you will. This book is fantastic; the theories are well thought out and he has the numbers to back them up. Paulson correctly calls the end of the reform party if Buccan was nominated by the party, and goes on to predict that the 2000 election would be the cause the of another realignment (from November 2000 it sure looks like there will be some great change). It really reads more like a magazine article than some of the other political books I've read, and was interestingly thought provoking. My call if you want to know what shape the country will be in politically for the next 40 odd years pick this book up. A closing thought: have a working knowledge of the Presidency and the social circumstances around each election, one might get lost if they are unfamiliar with some of the history going around as people strive to be the most powerful person on Earth every four years.

THE book for the mature Christian who's not being used.
This is a book whose truths are kept hidden from all those but whom the Lord supernaturally wills to reveal them. Hidden within its pages someone is given a chance to consider why the mature Christian can be little used of God, themselves too greatly underestimating the roadblocks deeply buried with the heart of man. "That which is of the flesh is flesh," we're told in God's Word, and only that which is ordained of the Spirit will do - especially so in these last of the last days. As the back cover of this book recanted, upon its completetion the reader will be forever destroyed for anything but the Spirit led work of Christ [paraphrased]. It honestly ranks among the three most influential books of my Christian walk, and if you've found it among the labyrinth of printed words available today you are surely blessed and deeply loved of God. And if you ever have chance to sit under the anointed speaking of the author, surely you'll never be the same. "Truly, truly..."

The Recorder Book
This is an excellent introduction to the recorder. One need not know anything to get started. A great project to work through with your kids! It uses nursery songs and music we all know, in simple arrangements, including solos, duets and trios, for soprano and alto recorder.
