An outstanding book
This book, I found truly remarkable. It shows that prison can reform some people. Mr.Hamilton shows that there is the possibility of rehablilitation in the prison system. The sad part is the death of his mother, and the violent death of his younger brother, that sends him into a life committing crime. His come back however, is remarkable. What he has done for himself and for other immates around the world is good. Helping incarcerated fathers to remain fathers to their children even behind bars. I recommend this book to all those that think the system spends too much of their tax money on people who will never change. It will change your way of thinking.

A noteworthy defense of orthodox Anglicanism
This book surveys the Anglican appeal in theology to the primitive Church since her break with Rome during the reformation. It traces the way in which Cranmer, Hooker, Laud, Taylor, etc., all sought to conform their thinking to the thought of the Church during the first three to four centuries. This line of reasoning continued up until the 20th century, when we see Archbishops of Canterbury like Temple and Ramsey, theologians in their own right who defended a distinctively Anglican theology. The author argues that if world Anglicanism is to stay a viable expression of Christianity it must go back to its roots in an appeal to ancient catholicism, rather than adopting every new secular fad that comes along. While the writing could be clearer in some places, this book is still a wealth of information on the history of the theology of the Church of England. I would recommend it highly to traditionalists in the Anglican Communion as well as to the continuing Anglican Churches.

Don't just "breeze" through this book!
"Feel the Wind" is a great tool for teaching children about the wind and the weather. Arthur Dorros defines wind and its uses in a way that children can easily understand. The book includes the causes of wind, ways wind is used by man and nature, and easy directions for making a weather vane. This book is a must for any young meterorologist.

A great book
The book deals with how childhood pain (physical and emotional) leads to neurosis. It is the work of a genius, unmatched in other fields of psychology. I recommend it to everyone.

A great realistic look at the Vietnam War
Mr. Gazzaniga is a former Marine who has been there and writes from experience. His book, A Few Good Men, tells it like it is. Plain and simple. It's too bad this book is out of print because it's a great read. If you can find a copy of this book, get it.

A Must-Have for Lepsters!
In the first part of this excellent field guide, families of butterflies are presented together on color plates, ably illustrated by Amy Bartlett Wright. This allows the reader to compare similar looking species--a must with hard-to-differentiate groups like the Blues, where minute differences mean the difference between one genus and another. The illustrations are cross-referenced to fuller descriptions in the second part of the book. Here there is additional information about appearance, food, habitat, flight, and range. As a beginner, I especially like author Paul Opler's decision to organize the butterflies by taxon rather than appearance. As I identify butterflies in the field, I am also learning a bit about the science of these beautiful creatures. Highly recommended.

EXCELLENT book from a bygone era
Born in the 1800's, Mr. Woodcock relates his experiences from 50 years in the "tall timber". Ahead of his time, he expounds on the wisdom of closed seasons and game management. If you enjoy hunting; if you daydream of life in the mountains; this is a MUST read! In his folksy 'down home' way, he tells story after story of the rugged life in the mountains of Pennsylvania, as well as hunts in the west and south. If your son (or daughter) is new to hunting, GET THEM THIS BOOK! READ IT YOURSELF! Oh, to have been born in that long ago, forgotten era! Being from Pennsylvania myself, this has long been one of my favorite outdoor books, as I am sure it will be for you.

Zinnemann Rediscovered...At Last
At last...a definitive book analyzing the films of Fred Zinnemann. All of the articles are good, but the article concerning The Nun's Story, Zinnemann's neglected masterpiece is brilliantly written by the editor, Mr. Nolletti. It is gratifying at last to see Zinnemann vindicated after falling out of favor and out of the conciousness of film critics. The Nun's Story, much honored in 1959, is now only a footnote in film history. Mr. Nolletti has detailed the greatness of this greatest of Zinnemann's films.

Where Did I Come Up With All This Amazing Information?
Question: What famous fictional detective has been the subject of motion pictures since the very beginning of the 20th century?

Answer: Sherlock Holmes; the first Sherlock Holmes film called "Sherlock Holmes Baffled," was one minute in length and was filmed in 1900.

Question: What famous fictional detective has appeared in more movies than James Bond and Indiana Jones combined?

Answer: Sherlock Holmes, of course.

Question: What famous fictional detective has been seen on screen in almost as many disguises as Lon Chaney, "The man of a thousand faces?"

Answer: You guessed it, Sherlock Holmes.

Question: What famous fictional detective has shared an on screen ride with Sigmund Freud, foiled a Nazi plot that might have cost Britain the war, and saved the life of a United States Senator?

Answer: If you guessed Sherlock Holmes again, you're right.

Getting bored? Just a couple more.

Question: What fictional detective has been portrayed on screen by (among dozens of others) John Barrymore, Raymond Massey, Peter Cushing, Christopher Lee, Nicol Williamson, Stewart Granger, and, of course, everyone's favorite, Basil Rathbone?

Answer: I realize this is a real tough one so I'll give you a couple of hints. His first name is Sherlock and his last name is Holmes.

Okay, one last one.

Question: What fictional detective was the father of forensic methodology in the analysis of evidence?

Surprise! Sherlock Holmes.

Where did I come up with all of this amazing information?

Why from THE FILMS OF SHERLOCK HOLMES, of course.

THE FILMS OF SHERLOCK HOLMES devotes anywhere from a page to a chapter to almost every Sherlock Holmes movie known to man. Each book segment contains discussions of the film, the actors who starred, and a historical perspective discussing time, place, etc. There are enough still photographs to satisfy the most avid Sherlockian.

For the Sherlock Holmes fan and/or for the film buff, this book is a font of information. For the rest of us, it's pretty darn entertaining.

Great Book
This book is great! The questions are very helpful and relate well to the chapters in my intermediate textbook. The explanations to the correct answers are also very helpful when you get a question wrong. The CPA exam questions used in the book are challenging, but are a good preparation for the CPA exam. Also, the many professors like to use questions directly from this book, for their exams!
