The Witness
This book is a wonderful introduction to the principles of Christ for your unchurched friends. Suitable for both males and females, it shows just how much one life (even through a seemingly senseless death) can impact others. There are also several great lessons about living with the consequences of one's actions and the long term rewards of charity and kindness. All in all, The Witness is a great mission tool!

God's word for woman's glory
I have read the book and the consistency of the biblical teaching of womanhood are amazing! Anna Byler has truly written this book by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The writing style is simple and can touch anyone's heart. What is more amazing is that the things she wrote about are biblical truths and things she learned from her own experience and her walk with God. I would encourage any mother, grandmother, or any woman for that matter to buy this book for herself or for some special woman in her life. I would also recommend Anna's other two books "A Womon for God's Glory" and "A Woman from God's Perspective". They are wonderful!!

A fun tutorial for fast learning. Illustrations galore.
A fast learn! It's a tutorial with just a dab of text and two illustrations on every page. I was confident from the start. It walked me through the basics early on and then gave me a taste of what I can do with other Word features. Usable hints. No techno-jargon. This is for people who need to get that report out fast.

World's Greatest Working Trucks.. The best of Colorado
Of all the pictorial truck books around, to me, this one tops them all. It is not just because the cover and the inside pages happen to have some sharp W900A extended hood Kenworths in all their glory. Peterbilt also features heavily in this edition and the book could have easily been entitled "Kenworth and Peterbilt in Colorado" because there is precious little of any other makes on these 96 glossy color pages.Oh well you can't help bad luck!
Truly stunning photography, great backdrops and interesting text to boot. An absolute must-have for bonneted Kenworth and Peterbilt fans.

A LITTLE BOOK THAT SHINES!
James Torrance, who until a decade ago was the Professor of Theology at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, now retired, has produced a printed version of lectures he delivered at the Nazarene Theological College in Manchester, UK. James Torrance, who is the younger brother of the more famous Thomas F. Torrance, Professor of Dogmatics at Edinburgh University, has not produced many books for publication. He is far less published than his elder brother. This does not mean, however, that he is not a learned individual. Passionate about the Christian faith, his articles in leading publications are revolutionary. With this volume, J. B. Torrance has produced a real jewel that is eminently worthwhile and readable. It is a must to have on your shelf if you are a pastor or theological student--and we are all in his debt for having produced such a volume. Though thin, seemingly smallish, it shines with an understanding of the gospel whose center is Jesus Christ. Even if you are a layperson, this book will repay careful reading and thought. It is not to be missed, and is a must read for those serious about discipleship in the school of Jesus Christ!

Wrestling With Grace: A Spirituality for the Rough Edges of Daily Life

Warm and wise counsel for the spiritual path
"Mountaintop raptures are all well and good," writes Robert Corin Morris, "but what happens in the valley has long-lasting results in our lives and the lives of those we meet." Wrestling with Grace is a handbook for the valley, a guide to being a blessing in the world even in the midst of life's challenges. Morris shows how frustration, fear, anger, depression, busyness, status--all the things we wrestle with on a daily basis--can be doorways to the Spirit. Morris' reflections, like his interfaith ministry, are grounded in Judeo-Christian imagery and symbol and open to the wisdom of other faiths. Full of grace, humor, and stories of his own and others' "wrestling" experiences (along with ten meditative prayer exercises), this book gives encouragement, inspiration, and practical advice. It's a welcome companion for the rough edges of the spiritual life.

The Year of Grace of the Lord: A Scriptural and Liturgical Commentary on the Calendar of the Orthodox Church

Authors: Moine De L'Eglise D'Orient, D Cowen, a Monk of the Eastern Church, Monk of the Eastern Church, and Moine

A captivating look at the Liturgical cycle of the Church.
The author explains in an almost poetic way, the meaning of the liturgical cycle of the Orthodox Church. Unlike many books which make the attempt, this author succeeds in his task of drawing the reader into the prayers and feasts of the New Testament Church. A book which can be read time and again with fresh insights at each reading.

Year of Grace: A Spiritual Journal
Published in Paperback by Thomas More Publishing (October, 1990)
Author: Andrew M. Greeley
Amazon base price: $16.95
Average review score:

A Real Existentialist
This excellent book by Andrew Greeley takes the form of a spiritual diary kept by one man, over the course of a year or so, in order to tease out the sense and significance of some specific moments in his life. The author is in pursuit of the sacred in life, and he sees the holiness of life in the everyday, which he celebrates and memorializes. In fact, the word sacramental is one that crops up a lot in the book. One of the lovely things for me is the sense of joy and wonder he manages to convey. It reads in every sense as a lover's diary. A man in love with God, usually seen as feminine, and deeply in love with the world in all of it's precious fragility. A book such as this always runs the risk of becoming overly introspective; this one never does. He is very much engaged with and committed to the real world. This accounts in many ways for the charm of the book. His spiritual insights are always mediated via the world of the everyday, the world of the 'ordinary'. This is the diary of a real existentialist.

Much More Than a Coffee-Table Book
"Yosemite - the Grace & Grandeur" is a must-have for anyone who plans to visit this beautiful park or who wants to re-live the memories of having visited it. While it's chock-full of beautiful photos (it's also called "A Pictorial Discovery Guide"), it also contains wonderfully written text about everything from the Park's history to its wildlife. We just got back from a visit to the park a couple of weeks ago, and immediately knew this one was a keeper!
