Faith, Romance, Danger, Drama
The relatives and so-called friends start pouring into young Eden Thurston's life after her rich banker father dies. Among these is a cousin and his mother, an old schoolmate who just returned from the war, plenty of girlfriends, neighbors, even a brother of her old college roommate, a banker, and a young lawyer. Some came in friendship, some came with an eye on her newly inherited money, while others are professing love and marriage, so it is up to Eden to decide with the help of her Guide and her dearly beloved family servants, just who is on the up and up. While settling her father's estate, Eden has many ups and downs. They range from letters written by her deceased mother that her father left her, precious jewels, break-ins and jail escapes, and the near loss of a beloved friend, and in the end, true love.

I would recommend this book to any Grace Livingston Hill fan or anyone else who enjoys a book of faith that also contains romance, a little danger and drama.

Get This Book
This is another of Grace Livingston Hill's classics. I loved this book. Although it has the same basic plot of all her books (i.e. boy meets girl, boy and girl discover the goodness of God, boy and girl fall in love) it has a unique way of presenting the situation. In some ways it is similar to Amerelle. This book is very good and I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good book to read.

Wonderful book!
This is one of the best books I've ever read! It's a sweet, beautiful love story without all the smut. It's uplifting and inspiring, showing that by faith and God's grace we can overcome even the toughest trials. It made me laugh -- and bawl -- and I've reread it at least three times since I first read it. I highly recommend this book to anyone!

A warning: The whole book isn't written by Point of Grace. There are a lot of things written in it by their friends. But overall, it's a great book that I know I'll treasure forever, and I'm sure whoever reads it will, too!

Excellant General Surgery Text Book
This is an excellant text book of general surgery. The book covers all the basic topics of surgery in a great mannor. There are plenty of good quality pictures and illustrations. The book is well divided into chapters. There is a summary at the end of each topic which gives a reivew of all the contents. I would highly recommend this book for rmedical students and surgical residents.

Outstanding introductory surgical text
I am a graduating senior medical student, and I happened to come upon this text quite by accident. Intending only to browse it for the moment, I found the text to be captivating. The author gives a clear and concise overview of every major surgical topic in a way that is approachable and easily understandible. The tables and figures nicely complement the "high yield" text. I only wish I had this text when I did my surgical clerkship.

Awesome sophisticated looking projects,inspirational
This is a terrific book on using rubber stamp techniques to decorate your home. It shows how practical and creative stamping can be for things other than just making cards. The projects are artistic have a sophisticated look and for the most part they are not too cutesy. Though sophisticated looking, with a little time and patience all the projects are fairly easy to create.

The book starts out with stamping basics such as masking, embossing, purchasing supplies and even making your own simple stamps. Principles of color and design follow. Stamping on various surfaces such as paper, wood, fabric, pottery, glass, clay, metal and leather are next. Then it is all put together in decorating your rooms. There is great information on assessing your room, making samples and working with patterns as well as creating borders, wreaths, and painted floors.

Over 15 projects follow including chest of drawers with elegant swirls, butterfly embossed velvet throw, lemon wall vine, paper mache bowl with leaves, orchard mini-chest and leather portfolio. My favorite project was the gorgeous Africa theme mica collage table. There are excellent step-by-step instructions accompanied by clear demonstrating photos for all the projects. A large photo the finished pieces as well as a complete materials list is also included.

A few patterns and a resource directory are located in the back. This book is a great source of inspiration and ideas for decorating and makes the perfect house-warming gift for the stamper in your life.

You can't go wrong with Grace Taormina's books
This a book that puts you in control of the look you want with decorating projects. Whether you are working on placemats or living room walls, there are ideas for making your own stamps out of everything from polymer clay to foam to natural objects.

Looks range from cute country to modern and mica flecked. Photos are very clear and the processes in the projects are described in detail. A source directory is included.

Exciting storyline plus Christian growth!
This book was a little bit more exciting than the first, My Father's World. The detail in this book is not overlooked by the authors. The characters show strong Christian values and at the same time show weaknesses, as we all have. It makes the characters seem very real and almost concrete. I recommend this book highly! The authors keep the book going, drawing you into it more and more. It was hard to put down! Enjoy!

A wonderful story about a young girl's spiritual growth.
Michael Phillips and Judith Pella have worked together well to tell the believable story of a girl and her spiritual growth. This book, which immediately follows MY FATHER'S WORLD is one of a series chronicling the life of Corrie Belle Hollister. The inner thoughts and feelings of this young woman are sensitively expressed. One can easily become absorbed in the adventurous tales involving Corrie and her siblings. I would highly recommend this book as a realistic representation of how, with careful guidance and love, a young person can be lead to a close and mature relationship with God. It truly touched and inspired me.

Great Book for Yankee Fans of the 60's and 70's
If you were a fan during the Yankee declineasty from 1965-1975 you will love this book. The author did a great job describing the cause and effect of the period. The book features some great interviews from an amazing number of Yankee players from the era. The book really brought the era alive for me!

FALL OF THE YANKEE EMPIRE
THE AUTHOR DOES A GREAT JOB OF DETAILING THE CRUMBLE OF THE YANKEE DYNASTY. THE OVER CONFIDENCE, BARREN FARM SYSTEM, BAD TRADES, AND AGE ARE WELL DEFINED BY MR. BASHE. ANOTHER INTERESTING REACTION BY THE YANKEES DURING THE EARLY PART OF THE NOSE DIVE IS BEING IN DENIAL ABOUT THE THING FOR A FEW YEARS. THEY JUST DIDN'T KNOW HOW TO REACT TO BEING AN ALSO RAN. ALSO OF NOTE IS THE COLD HEARTED FRONT OFFICE SELLING THE TEAM TO CBS AND THE BUMBLING YEARS OF OWNERSHIP DURING THE CBS OWNERSHIP. THEN THE RESURGENCE DURING THE STEINBRENNER YEARS AND THE DOWN YEARS DURING HIS DICTATORSHIP. ALL THIS MAKES FOR A VERY INTERESTING AND WELL DONE NOVEL. A MUST FOR ALL YANKEE FANS AND ALL FANS WHO TOTALLY ENJOYED (ME) THE PIN STRIPES BEING JUST ANOTHER TEAM.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Down Home Grizzard: Three Bestselling Works Complete in One Volume: Don't Forget to Call Your Mama, Does a Wild Bear Chip in the Woods?,Southern by the Grace of God?

Great collection
Anyone not familiar with Lewis Grizzard ought to be in for a treat reading these books. I grew up reading Grizzard in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and I remember laughing out loud at the breakfast table so, so many times. Grizzard was a terrifically funny man, southern to the core and wrote basically about what he knew best- life in the south. Grizzard was more than just a funny guy, however, he was a real writer, a true talent. This collection makes me realize how much I miss him. You don't have to be southern to appreciate Grizzard, however, no more than you'd have to be from the Midwest to like Garrison Keillor. This is Grizzard at his best.

Solid Gold Grizzard
Lewis Grizzard is to southern humor what Elvis is to rock n roll, a legend that will live in our hearts forever. "Down Home Grizzard" is an excellent read as well as a beautiful memory to the late king of southern humor. The man is just plain funny.
