Excellent ideas for making your own traditions
Although I am admittedly biased as my mother, Doris Peeler-Brown and very close friend Margot Dashiell are featured in this compilation, it is still a wonderfully put together book.
There are many tasty recipes perfect for holiday entertaining and decorative ideas, including color pictures, to make your house beautiful.
If you have traditions with your family already, or if you are trying to create traditions, this book would be a wonderful asset to your library.

Against Cheap Grace in a World Come of Age: An Intellectual Biography of Clayton Powell, 1865-1953 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Studies in Religion, Culture, and Social dEvelopment, Vol. 9)

The Conversion of Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Ralph Clingan's book illuminates important dimensions of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's conversion, which he attributed to the six months he attended Clayton Powell's Abyssinian Baptist Church in Harlem. This is the most important theological work of the past fifty years. I based my Reformation Day Sermon on the book. It reads like a conversation, very readable, if compressed. I want to see more detailed treatments of some of Powell's sources than allowed in this small volume.

Amazing Grace
I first read this book while at school (some 20 years ago).

It is about a nun who enters the "real" world and encounters experiences that are totally new to her i.e. mainly sexual. Alida Baxters wit is well displayed in this novel.

I was so impressed that I decided to investigate other novels by her, unfortuanetely getting hold of her books is extremely difficult as they are now out of print.

Anway I shall keep searching all those second hand book shops.

Definetely recommended.

I wish I had a bath tub like that.
It's cool. A little boy had a both tub with a ship in it. There was a storm. There is a pirate ship fight. I like Jackie because he likes pirates. My favorite scene is the storms and everything hidden in the pictures. The pictures are fabulous. It's a silly book and one of my favorites.
