AN EXCELLENT READ
Liz gets pregnant by her lover - a forty-five year old divorced man who definitely does not want any more children. [the rat - but then again where were her morals? grin] He feels that she is trying to trap him into marriage. And she thinks "Not again!"
So she leaves New York and heads west.
Matt Garvock is the last person she would expect to support her when, pregnant and alone, she returns to her hometown.
Even with twins on the way, Matt clearly wants Liz, body and soul. But Liz has her babies to consider, what man would want to raise another man's child - Matt must agree to the complete package ... twins included.
Heartwarming and definitely recommended.

beautiful romance
A magical story that captures what it's like, when you do work that you love, and yet still feel there's something missing in your life. Matt Baker is about to become a plastic surgeon, but when he spots pilot Carrie Porter, he feels the void in himself. Stuck in her remote Alaskan village, caring for a child who could be paralyzed, he begins to open up to the possibility of creating his own future. There's real suspense in the emotional conflict between these two very human and likeable (and sexy!) characters. And a wonderful sense of what it's like to live in such a remote, beautiful but sometimes forbidding place.
I gobbled this story up in one sitting! Look forward to more of her work.

An eclectic anthology for readers of all ages
Collaboratively compiled and edited by John Agard & Grace Nichols, Under The Moon & Over The Sea: A Collection Of Caribbean Poems is an eclectic anthology for readers of all ages, brightly enhanced with full-color, stylized artwork from Cathie Felstead, Jane Ray, Christopher Corr Satoshi Kitamura, and Sara Fanelli in celebration of Caribbean life and culture. Poinciana Passion: Plant for me a tree./A tree whose flame-orange blooms/Make wilting spirits soar,/And lushly carpet summer morning walks./Just one magnificent tree,/Whose stubborn blooms/Ignite each winding street and yard/As far as eye can see./In rapturous abandon/Putting other trees to shame./Bold red blooms befitting lover's brow/Brazenly entice to rest beneath her leafy shade./Plant for me a tree./One solitary tree is all I ask for me--/My royal poinciana tree. This is the most comprehensive guide to using PowerPoint.
This book is written for normal people. It is very easy to read and follow. You will be a complete expert in PowerPoint after using this book. Even if you already consider yourself an expert, in PowerPoint, this book will teach you secrets and shortcuts you have never dreamed of. I recommend going through a chapter a night starting with chapter one. The only downfall is that everyone will come to you with their questions

One of those books that hits you where you live...
Very accessible, descriptive writing. His use of metaphor is engaging - is there anyone who can NOT relate to navigating the storms of life? And the hope that weathering the storms will produce new growth. The edition I read was short, plenty of white space on the page - uncluttered pages left room for me to add my thoughts, I liked that.

I really enjoyed his writing style, and I'm eager to read more of his work.

I'm ready to move to Maine
A very brief journal of Dow's first wedding anniversary in 1932 as she and her husband take a trip to a remote lake in upstate Maine. Her sheer joy and appreciatation for the quiet, natural world around her make this a delightful read. She uses all her senses to describe the wilderness around her, and have no doubt, you will want to be at that lake immediately to experience the same beauty she witnesses. A wonderful book.

"what is That?" Said the Cat
This is one of my 6 yr old son's favorite books. It's an easy read. If you have a beginner reader this is a great book. One or two sentences per page sometimes just a word, great pictures and funny ending. Best of all my son can read it on his own and finds it funny every time it's read. In our family we give it five stars. Hope this helps.

An electrifying book
I bought this book because I was just curious to read something by Grace Livingston Hill's aunt, Isabella Alden. I never dreamed: 1) that her writing is as fresh, timely, and insightful as Mrs. Hill's; 2. that these particular stories would bring just the real-life insights that my family and friends needed in their business life; 3. that multiple impossible situations in several people's lives would have near-miraculous resolutions after people borrowed the book from me and applied its healing insights to their individual crises. Thank you for making this book available again. I'm looking for more by this author. And ordering 12 more copies of this one today, so I can let people "borrow" it without worrying about having my own copy!

Wonderful!!!
It's nearly impossible to not love a Rosalind Laker book. My personal favorites are Circle of Pearls and To Dance With Kings, but this one rates well up there. It's a very touching story of innocence lost, love, despair, and inner strength. Lisa, an orphan is transported from England with a number of other orphans destined to fill domestic posts in Canada. Lisa meets Peter, a Swedish immigrant and falls in love but is torn from him due to unforseen circumstances. She loses all hope of ever seeing him again and marries, only to be found by Peter and lose him again. Her husband convinces her to move back to England in an effort to get her as far away from her lost love as possible. There they open a successful cinema...and any more details will ruin the story for you.

I highly recommend this book!

MUST, MUST, MUST reading!
Well, a tad bit overstated, but I'd give it ten stars if I could.

Essays by 25 women on subjects of growing up and growing old(er). All told wonderfully in very accessible and memorable language. I'm buying more to give as gifts.

The preface alone is worth the price of the book.
