Great topic. But sometimes seems to read out of focus. I am not seminary educated, (in fact 4yrs of college was all I could stand). It appears it might be more directed toward the author's peers, versus the "everyday evangelist" - as myself. I work with a bunch of programmers (my peers) who are 20-30yrs old (I'm 40ish) - and I did find the book to be helpful in understanding a bit of their world view.

I kept a dictionary handy while reading this book - and found as I looked up the words that I don't hear in every day conversation, there could have been a half-dozen more effective ways to make the same statement. (Okay, so my vocabulary got stretched a little )

I did like how the author steps you through the case for Jesus' subversiveness (where's my dictionary?). I would like to have heard a little more on "Relating Christ to a New Generation...". Overall= good reading, interesting perspective on our culture, and reiteration on some solid truths.

In this book the author shares his experiences as a disciple of the great AVATAR Paramahansa Yogananda. I would suggest a reading to every disciple on the Kriya yoga path

In "Grace" Leyland-Fields engraves all of her two-decades plus Alaska living on every one of its 330 pages. This book's most conspicuous literary achievement is the genuine, ardent authority of the narrator's voice.

This book offers a delightful variety of prayers and table graces for young children. If you are not very creative with your own prayer styles, this book will enable you to introduce your child to an exciting array of ways to praise and thank God at meal time. If you appreciate different ways of praying, this book will allow you to share the richness on a child's level. A great addition to your family or church library.

Peter was one of the best art critics in Britain before the 90s; his influence was far beyond Europe and beyond the West. As a personal friend of Peter, I see him as my model of being a scholar as well as simply being a person. i like alot of their jewlery yes including there 1,000,000$ diamond jewlery too but im practical.I own like 4 items from their and i love it.This book is helpful if you like to know how the company started and about it etc.Its not like a book of all the jewlery they have.I mean the book isnt so fun to read but its intresting.Go ahead buy it!

I found this book to be very enjoyable. It was very well written and the author was very descriptive in describing how things were during her life, and how they changed. I found it very interesting to see how much race relations have changed since the time the author was a girl.

If you or someone you love has ever had their cell phone ring during a performance, church service, wedding, movie, etc....YOU or they need to read this book. It's not about stuffy manners. It's about consideration of your fellow man.

Whether it's not sending thank-you notes, cell phones ringing inapropriately, self-centered children interrupting or any of the subjects contained in this book, manners matter. No one is asking anyone to wear white gloves or to place a salt cellar at your dinner plate. It's about greasing the gears of civilized society.

One hilarious chapter deals with Politically Correct Americans making a HUGE ruckus over Europeans smoking. Throwing a massive tantrum over someone smoking in a French or German Restaurant will only identify you as a boorish American, and get you nothing more than a sideways glance and a shrug...while asking someone kindly if they would mind not smoking around you might just get the desired effect.

Another favorite chapter of mine was close to home, as I sometimes feel that the Tattoo Fairy has visited me in the middle of the night and inscribed "Tell me about your SEX LIFE" on my forehead. People just love to tell me their most intimate details which I do not seek and have not asked for. Evidentially, it is at epidemic stages and I am not alone in this observation.

This is a perfect length for a plane trip or a car trip, and you will nod in recognition and laugh out loud at some of these situations which require that we all brush up a bit on our manners.

I actually had to read this book for a class but was mildly surprised with what Mazur has to offer. This book begins just as the back cover description goes, with a woman finding a strange man bathing in her washtub. An odd beginning for an outstandingly odd story. While it seems to border at times with the fringes of a bad soap opera, this story manages to capture the reality of a strikingly different life situation. It gives further focus to the human condition of finding boundaries and giving definition to overlapping human relationships.

This is an interesting book, both well illustrated and entertaining. Easy to read and understand, it presents an interesting perspective from Trina's point of view -of an extended families reunion.
