Encouraging and Amazing
Copan and Fryling have created a collection of both known and unknown Christians' vignettes resounding ways God has heard someone's prayer and responded. For readers who feel God is distant or not listening, and are looking to be encouraged in their faith, get "Finding God..."

While our society lives in a 'show me' mindset, they don't always realize God is showing Himself. Readers appreciating books from TD Jakes to CS Lewis to Jack Deere to John MacArthur... as varied as they are, will all find "Finding God Between a Rock & A Hard Place: Stories of Gratitude and Grace" a hardcore look at answered prayer.

These stories are real. They are a result of knee-bent prayer, and the grace of God.

It looks great (typeset beautifully), reads well, engages the mind, heart and soul... after you read it, pass it on. It would make a warm, gentle gift to a friend needing a boost.

I fully recommend "Finding God Between a Rock & A Hard Place." I hope there is a sequel, or some other variation. Good testimonies of God's grace are abound, but are too rarely bound in as well-said as found in these pages. God's glory needs to be declared, and here, He shines...

A solid discussion on Centering Prayer
Fr. Keating and others provide excellent guidance on the method of Centering Prayer. This book teaches you how to focus your prayer life on the God within. The God who is waiting for us to join him at the very center of our being. The God who is whispering on the gentle breeze, calling for us to commune with Him. The importance of making time in this busy world to be still and listen for God's whisper is critical if one is to follow the divine path that God has mapped out for us. This book will show you how to use this powerful prayer method to bring about inner and outter peace and comfort to your life

An important message with beautiful illustrations!
I found "Finding Grace" to be very entertaining and inspirational for both myself and my children. The retelling of the parable of the lost sheep is done in such a way that children can relate and the illustrations show a talent that is uncommonly exquisite for a childrens book. We are sure to see more books of this high quality from new author/illustrator David Erickson.

A timely contribution for today's national dialogues
The First Grace: Rediscovering The Natural Law In A Post-Christian World by Russell Hittinger (Chairman, Department of Philosophy and Religion, University of Tulsa, Oklahoma) is an impressively written and presented philosophical and theological study of the intersection between faith, natural law, and the erosion of religious absolutes in an increasingly multicultural and secular world. Decrying the liberal legal idea of privacy elevated to an extreme degree, as well as the tendency in American law today to distrust religion and legislatively/judicially shield children from it, The First Grace stresses that in a Post-Christian world it is more important than ever to remember older notions of the principles of freedom and law. An erudite and expertly argued account, The First Grace is a welcome and timely contribution for today's national dialogues over the proper roles and relationships between the secular government and faith-based institutions, organizations, programs, and policies.

Review of Tasha Tudor's "First Graces"
This little collection of short prayers (21 in all) is absolutely wonderful. Many are familiar, old prayers that you will surely recognize, but many are not so well-known. Tasha Tudor's illustrations are just BEAUTIFUL and inspiring. There are different prayers for special occasions, such as, 'A Birthday Grace' and 'For Thanksgiving', and an everyday prayer, 'For School'. Most of the prayers are, as the title suggests, graces, to be said at mealtime. My children rush to get First Graces out of the drawer to say the prayer at dinner-time. The book has been very special to our whole family, with verses simple enough for the kids to understand, and powerful enough to move us all. It's a tiny, sweet gem.

A well written romance, hard to put down until the end
When I read "Flyboy," I felt so sympathetic with the main character, and the romance wasn't a lame happly-ever after fairy tale romance. It contained a scandel of an unknown child to the father, hurt feelings after the truth got out, and finally a love that sprung out of the occurance

Realistic and straight forward, inspirational testimony!
This is one of the best testimony books I have read. The lifestyle is depicted honestly from the perspective of the ex gang member. I especially like the simple presentation in plain language. Everyone who's life is affected by gangs and other reckless lifestyles can benefit by reading this book. Thank you Pastor Eddie Banales for dedicating your life to helping others find the solution to their life crisis'.

Human Development is an excellent textbook.
Human Development is an excellent textbook, and one of the best textbooks I have ever used in my studies in Psychology. The author has laid out the chapters in chronological order from infancy to old age. Theories of development are clearly explained and charted. Many true-life examples of research and studies are scattered throughout the text, making theoretical material easy to comprehend. I would highly recommend this textbook to any instructor who is in search of high quality up-to-date material.
