Great Valentine's Fun
This is a great book that includes lots of activities to do with students. My favorite is the Valentine Bookworm. I made this with my 2nd graders and they had a great time. We ended up having our worm reach around the entire room!

An insight into Frida's world
The life of Frida Kahlo, one of the world's greatest women artists, is excellently portrayed in this book. Rauda Jamis manages to give us a unique insight of the pain, anguish and passion that fill the world of Frida. From her birth to her death, the book captures us and invites us to travel with Frida, as we identify ourselves more and more as we read, with this fascinating woman.

Women's contributions to health of the Christian community
Joan Chittister is a Benedictine sister, founder and executive director of Benetvision: A Resource and Research Center for Contemporary Spirituality. A theologian, social psychologist, and communication theorist, she skillfully explores the sacred dimension of friendship through the perspectives of faith, tradition, Scripture, and the experience of women in The Friendship Of Women: A Spiritual Tradition. The almost lyrical text is enhanced with the stunning icons of Benedictine oblate Marcie Bircher and showcases the wisdom of such women as Lydia, Prisca, Phoebe, Martha, Veronica, elizabeth, Anne, Mary Magdalene, and those who gathered at the foot of the Cross. Sr. Joan teaches the reader about friendship as it is embodied and exemplified in each of these women's lives, and within a context of the Christian experience. The Friendship Of Women is very highly recommended reading for anyone with an interest in women's contributions to the health of the Christian community and the legacy of the Christian church with respect to our ordinary lives and relationships.
Frogquest

Amazon base price: $8.00
Average review score:
A humorous and compassionate look at friendship.
FROGQUEST is a delight for children and for adults who have not lost the child within. It is a tale of true friendship, feelings, and compassion as Hopply and Newt set out together on a quest. Reminiscent of E.B. White's CHARLOTTE'S WEB, the characters seem real and are accurately portrayed, down to Hopply's three-chambered amphibian heart. A read-to book for ages 4-6 and from age 7, most children can read it alone. The adult reader can enjoy the interactions and humor at a deeper level.

A helpful guidebook
Don't buy books that are 500 pages long to tell you how to write your life story. Spend an hour with this book and you'll learn all you'll ever need to know about writing your autobiography or family history. I know. I'm doing both. After reading her Diary book, I had to read this book too and was not disappointed.
Read it, then write the story only you can tell.

Required reading for 2nd generation fusion researchers
Ever wonder how we got to where we are in fusion research today? This book covers the first three decades of fusion research, from 1951 to 1982, and is indispensable reading for 2nd generation fusion researchers who did not live through it. The first stellerator, Teller instability and tokamak are all discussed here in wonderful detail. Math is at a minimum and history is at a premium, giving everyone who reads the book a greater understanding of the reasons why fusion research concentrated on certain concepts year by year and decade by decade.
This book is a special order, but serious students of fusion research should order it new, used or any way they can get it.

For the traveler and the curious
Because the Galapagos is a fragile area ecologically, The World of Nature can be a positive armchair substitute for the negative impact the reader would make should he/she visit the islands physically. Better photographs than all but professionals can take. .no dropping cameras, no recharging batteries, etc. Visit the Galapagos through these fine pictures with comment.
