great great book
this book is a simple question and answer book.
it dosen't go into the assassination of JFK, but rather it answers the questions of who was this guy and what was his role.
you learn about when ex-President Jimmy Carter was giving a speech on the JFK assassination and then the tv sound just went mute. the book answers what Jackie was actually reaching over the car for and who people like Lee Bowers were and what Richard Nixon and J Edgar Hoover had to do with the JFK assassination.

this is a very simple book, but it's very informative and very well written.
has numerous photos of some of the people mentioned in the book.

great book.

Finally -- Common Sense on Harassment
This is a fantastic, much-needed book. Its common sense approach will help men, women and employers handle issues around harassment in a practical, meaningful way. The perfect antidote for the "politically correct" police. Especially important for professors and students in academia. Easy to read style makes it accessible for any reader.

Irish women make their mark
Joan McBreen, the extraordinary poet, turns a much needed spotlight on Irish women poets. They have been absurdly second-classed by the literati, but no more. Thanks to this serious, compelling volume, the full grandeur of Irish literature comes into focus. A book that bears reading, and re-reading.

Agatha Christie meets Amelia Bedelia
Rue Morgue has done mystery fans a favor with their reprints of vintage British mysteries, and I found this story by Joan Coggin (known also for her school stories written as Joanna Lloyd - sadly, these are long OP) absolutely charming. Lady Lupin and her friend Duds are inane detectives but are very funny and well intentioned. Vicarage life is depicted in a way that seems both realistic and hysterical. I can't wait to read more.

Supplement with The Complete Guide to the Book of Proverbs.
Who's Who in the Bible is a great reference resource with lots of mostly black and white photos. The commentary is interesting and detailed and tells what the character's names meant. The Old Testament section was written by Joan Comay and the New Testament section by Ronald Brownrigg, both in 1971. The two were combined in this reprint in 1980. Both quote the Revised Standard Version (1952). If you enjoy this book you may also like THE COMPLETE GUIDE TO THE BOOK OF PROVERBS by Cody Jones. Numerous biblical characters are pointed out who illustrate King Solomon's witty observations on human nature.

A must for simplified Bible reading
My new year's resolution was to read the Bible straight through. I did not acquire this work until I was in the second book of Samuel. How I wish I had found it sooner. It has become my constant Bible-reading companion. Whenever a minor character reappears and I can't remember who he or she is, this book answers my question. It identifies EVERY person who appears in the Old Testament--an excellent tool!!!
