Don't Wait For Him To Change
This is a wonderful story around the changing lives of 3 women who run a thrift shop.

Helena, the protagonist, roles is especially interesting. She has been married to a military officer, who has managed to control her every thought, for nearly 30 years.

During this story, you will watch her evolve, fall back, grow some more, then fall back.

Helena is trying to break out of long-time conditioned habits, which limit her to waiting for her husband to give her what she really wants.

This book would appear to a very wide audience, because there are many things to think about, as you get a glimpse into not just the lives of these 3 women, but also the lives of the people who work with them, and who touch their soul, on other levels.

Read this novel to visit a circle of friends, and enjoy sharing their lives, while you choose where you really want to be.

Good overview of Teaching Careers
I liked this book because it gives inside information from a variety of teachers. Since I don't know any teachers personally, this was the information that helped me to get a realistic feel for the job of being a teacher. I found out that there are a lot of other people who feel the same way that I do about the importance of education, and I think that I will fit into the world of teaching very well. I liked the fact that the book included information about teacher training programs and certification requirements because it seems like that type of detail is hard to find. I am going to use this book in the future too, once I begin applying for my first teaching job because it has good info. on how to apply and also succeeding on the job once you get one. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about how to become a teacher.

Teaching About Sexuality and HIV: Principles and Methods for Effective Education
Published in Hardcover by New York University Press (July, 1996)

A truly great resource
I wish I could provide this book to everyone who teaches about sexuality and HIV, as well as those who make policy, funding, administrative, and other decisions about sexuality and/or HIV education. This is the single best resource on this topic in existence for new educators and veterans.

It's all here: theoretical foundations for educational programs; descriptions, definitions and samples of a wide range of teaching/training methods (enough lectures, already!); how-to-choose which methods, when, why, and for whom; and a historical and current context for sexuality education. This comprehensive content is presented in a variety of ways, including real stories, some funny, some sad, all well-chosen to illustrate and enrich the valuable teachings.

If you're only going to buy one resource on sexuality/HIV education, make it this one.

Captures the complexities of teaching diversity
This book provides faculty with powerful narratives through which they can construct their own narrative of teaching. Creatively edited, Teaching Diversity provides the reader with real life experiences of 21 management faculty who honestly discuss the challenges they experience in teaching about controversial and complex issues of identity and diversity. They also candidly speak about their own experiences, some as faculty of color, navegating student resistance and expectations. Novice teachers will gain insight from the stories of experienced faculty. Sometimes poignant, sometimes hilarious, this easy to read book will not bore.

Excellent book for both parents and teachers!
This book inspires teachers to keep a sharp lookout for bright young students--including those who may not appear "high-ability" at first glance! Students will be happier and more productive both at school and at home if teachers and parents used approaches to learning described in this book. I think it would make a wonderful gift from parents to a teacher at a parent-teacher conference!

Teddy bear gardener
This is a charming book, enjoyable to children beginning to read, as well as parents. This is a slim, quintessentially English little book with it's gentle pace, preoccupation with gardening, and understated drawings. Our daughter still loves it, and she's eight now! Best of all is the wonderful ending - discover it for yourself!

A super resource!
This is a extremely clear, well-presented reference to over 200 original TV musicals, the only book to take such a comprehensive look at an art form that has entertained millions for half a century. A nice selection of photos, plus reviewer quotes, cast & song lists -- its amazing how much is covered in this compact volume. There is nothing else like it -- a great job from start to finish.

A Must-have Handbook for Tellers
Its topics are superb in enhancing tellers' banking knowledge, or bankability quality. Not only it can be considered or drafted in part of the banking institutions' training manuals. It serves to boost your self-confidence in opting for this profession as your career prospect. You will definitely enlightened as I had; that changed my minds to remain in this frontline business rather than to some administrative position. You would not regret reading it or even to the extend of buying it for your library collection as I did.

Readable but Scholarly Approach to the Temple's History
This book is a must for anyone who is deeply interested in the history of the Jewish people. Immensely readable, "The Temple of Jerusalem" presents the reader with the 3,000 year history of the Temple Mount, the Temples which stood atop it, and the dream that the Temple remains in the mind of the Jewish people. Jews and Gentile alike will be suprised, shocked and delighted with the information that this book provides about what really went on in this ancient treasure-house of the Jews. Daily prayers, pilgrimages, and countless animal sacrifies are described in detail. Also, the reader will appreciate just how long the Temples stood at the Temple Mount. This and other fascinating information will surely lead to a newfound understanding of the role of the institution in Jewish history. There are a few pages of full colour photos (some of the incredible model of Herod's Temple at the Holyland Hotel in Jerusalem), as well as some fine drawings of the early Temple structures.
