Festival Made Easy
This book explains in very easy to use terms how to host, setup, and celebrate a Christian Passover Dinner/Service. The layout is excellent, with explanations of everything from why do it, to music, to recipies. The book also gives formats for small family in-home dinners as well as large church dinners. The scripting is easy to follow for both leaders and participants. The subject matter is updated so that it is pertinent now, i.e. includes plagues of our century. It allows for the need to shorten the time frame, if necessary, without short-changing the authenticity of the service. I recommend it to anyone who wants to host a Passover/Last Supper commemoration.

Ideas and Inspirations - A must read!
Celebrating the Fourth has been a wonderful tool to use in my teaching this year. I continue to apply many of the ideas to build community in my classroom, guide my students in self-assessment, and teach with real life in mind. The examples given help me use the strategies with my own students. I found the book recommendations and sample forms to be helpful resources. Celebrating the Fourth is an easy read as well as a must read. You will be recharged and inspired. Keep this book accessible all year long!

Praise for "Chicago from the River"
Imagine yourself lazily drifting down a placid river on a perfect summer afternoon, flanked on both sides by towering monuments erected by the architechtural geniuses of the ninteenth and twentieth centuries, their long shadows passing over you like the ghosts of the men themselves who labored over the planning, design, building, and occupation of these priceless pieces of history.

The sounds of the City surround you and the voice of your guide is almost an aria illuminating the stories behind the breathtaking views of some of the greatest architectural accomplishments of our time in the greatest city of all time...Chicago, Illinois.

Ms.Lindsay's knowlege and enthusiasm, not only of the architechtural importance of the buildings that line Chicago's famous River, but also for the nuances of their unique stories, their histories, and the personalities of the men who created them is contageous. Before you realize it, you are a convert to the wonder of this place and the energies and drives that built it up on the praire.

Ms. Lindsay captures the experience in "Chicago on the River", through breathtaking photographs which she took over the course of the thousands of trips she has made from the mouth of the River to the south end of the city and back, while illulminating and entertaining many many thousands and bringing to them her appreciation for this unique viewpoint.

Read the book and then take the tour...experience the world's greatest city from a truly unique point of view!

Chicken Soup & Other Folk Remedies
I bought this book on vacation and read many items to my husband as we drove around the countryside. I have heard of some of these things before and was surprised by many. I am glad to have a written source to refer to and am looking forward to reading the next volume. I am buying copies for my daughters and mother for Christmas.

"Mockingbird's" plucky young Scout meets "Tora Tora Tora"
Jody Earle's memoir of her several years on Ford Island in the shadow of the safety of those fated battleships prior to the Pearl Harbor attack reads like the best fiction: funny, surprising, and almost dreamlike in its depiction of girlhood pleasures. That the reader knows what's coming infuses these pages with terrible dread: as Robert Frost says, "Nothing gold can stay." This wonderful book, history at its best, is ever more relevant after 9-11: currently, new lives are undertaking recoveries which, like this writer's, will be lifelong. A triumphant little book to be savored by both girls and boys from ages eight up, and by all adults.

This book is essential for any holiday family traditions. Ms. Nathan not only shares some wonderful recipes (try the Orange Chicken - it's easy, fun and OUT OF THIS WORLD!......) but she also shares her family's traditions and give you wonderful ideas to enhance your own celebrations. My family loves this book and we refer to it on a regular basis.

I would give it more stars if I could!....

Inspiring
As a student of A Course in Miracles for over 5 years, I had been so excited to finally share this with my children. It has literally changed their lives and ours as a family. There are weekly lessons for both little and older kids. Although the bulk of it is geared to 6 years and under. The older child still benefits from the wonderful 7 chapter story and how the main character obtains the Guide for Better Living. Kids say, "It helps me to be nice to others, and remember God." We highly recommend it!
