Excellent Balanced View of Tough Issues
Adam Hamilton is my pastor and I had the privilege of hearing his sermon series on controversial issues. Through all of his study and research for the sermons, he created this book. Each of the seven chapters covers one issue. They include the following: The Separation of Church and State, Creation and Evolution in the Public Schools, The Death Penalty, Euthanasia, Prayer in Public Schools, Abortion, and Homosexuality. In each chapter, Adam presents the most common and convincing arguments for both sides of an issue. Then he gives his conclusions and his personal stance on the issue. Although I would characterize Adam as a moderate, you'll find his various conclusions not representing liberalism or conservatism, but his search for the truth in Christianity.

A great action/adventure
This was, in my opinion, the best of the "Dennison's War" series. Matt Conte's hunt for the mysterious assassin Vancouver kept me riveted to the book. Even the sex scenes between Vancouver and the kidnapped scientist were hotly written.

Of all the "Dennison" characters, Matt Conte was the best one, followed closely by Chris Amado.

It's sad to see that the "Dennison's War" series is no longer in print. It gave series like "The Executioner," "Able Team," etc., a good run for their money. If one wants to start reading the "Dennison's War" series, this one would be the one I'd recommend first.

Coversations on the Ark is worth listening to!
Conversations on the Ark, by Michelle Medlock Adams, is one of the most wonderfully written and beautifully illustrated children's books I have ever read! Adams delightfully descriptive writing puts us all on board Noah's ark for an unforgettable journey with animals....God's wonderful creation! We are able to listen to their conversations with one another as they brave the storm! I just adored the story and recommend it for all children....and adults!!!

P.S. Kudos to the illustrator, Lucy Corvino!

Wonderfully Witty and Charming!
Famed psychologist Dr. R.D. Laing records conversations between himself, his two children (Adam and Natasha) and his wife Jutta. Brilliantly profound listening to the children speak their wisdom. The author points out that nothing is tampered with in the conversations besides some inadvertent ommissions. Also there are no after thoughts or annotations, for he felt he would like that job to someone else. Funny and charming, this book (although currently out of print)can make you appreciate children more often, and listening to them a great deal more. A good companion to Laing's 'Knots.' If you enjoyed this, I would also suggest Gregory Bateson's 'Steps To An Ecology of Mind.'

Keep up the great work, Noland
If you want an answer to a Corvette question, there is one person to ask. So when an accurate history of the Corvette is to be written, there is one person to write it.

Ask and ye shall receive.

Noland Adams' previous books include Corvette Restoration & Technical Guide, Volume I, 1953-62 and Corvette Restoration & Technical Guide, Volume II, 1963-1967. These detailed publications have become necessary reading for anyone restoring a first or second generation Corvette. Now he is catering to the non-technical Corvette enthusiast.

Timed perfectly to coincide with the introduction of the fifth generation edition of the two-seat fibreglas coupe, Corvette: American Legend just scratches the surface of this 45 year old icon. So detailed is this book that the tenth chapter is called "The Corvette becomes a Reality" and it takes another three chapters to get to "Job 1 rolls of the Line."

Steps leading to the "Reality" chapter outline the development of the program. From the earliest ins

A Book for Counseling and Personal Spiritual Growth
Psalm 119 is a prayer to God that addresses practically every problem and situation in life. This psalm provides an excellent and comprehensive source of help for anyone in the area of counseling. In his book, "Counsel from Psalm 119," Jay Adams explains ways to apply the Scripture text in Psalm 119 to counseling others, and to the personal spiritual growth of the counselor, as well as the counselee. Dr. Adams expounds upon the text and thoroughly discusses each verse in the psalm. He also provides profound insights into the importance of studying and meditating upon Scripture. He encourages the counselor to study the the Word of God personlly in order to be more equipped in teaching others the value of Scripture. I chose to read this book devotionally, taking a passage each day. Through the study of this book, I became more aware of the centrality of the Word in the life of a child of God I also discovered ways to apply Scripture to all situations and relationships. This is a book that every biblical counselor should have as a resource for helping others.

The best in the market, but..
Princeton review people have proven that they actually KNOW what they are doing. However, I couldn't get my RevieWare Software when I bought the book. Instead I got 4 sample tests. Why? RevieWare Software is (in fact seems to be) a practical tool for the GMAT student, but it is not there, even though is fully explained in the book.

What a way to prepare for the GRE quickly
This book and disks cover the essential GRE. It is designed for the paper and pencil format, but the techniques work just as well on the CAT. The tests on disk mimic the actual exam so well that you are at home when taking the real exam. I found the instructions clear and extremely helpful. Problems do arise with the disk, but only with the diagnostic exams. Overall this is an outstanding way to prepare for the GRE in a short amount of time and do well.
