Making Predictions about Mechanisms
Ever wonder why organic reaction mechanisms go the way they do? How do you know if reaction is first- or second-order, or concerted? This book provides a clear perspective on different factors that determine reaction mechanisms: molecular orbitals, acids and bases, thermodynamics and kinetics, roles of carbocations, carbanions, carbene, nitrogen, sulfur, oxygen, etc. It can accompany any undergraduate text and would be perfect reference and/or supplement for an advanced course treating reaction mechanism. It addresses topics like pericyclic reactions, Hammett equation and techniques for investigating mechanisms.

An observant participant
John Quincy Adams Campbell was well named. As determined and purposeful as the president he was named for, he led a life similar in focus on principal.

Almost all of the Civil War diaries, Union or Confederate, recount days of slogging through mud, choking in the dust of other marching soldiers, and of camp boredom. Quincy Campbell, however, is an observant man, a newspaper reporter by trade, a man of detail. Not only does he record the mileage tramped and the direction of the march, when he crosses a pontoon bridge, he steps it off and reports the yardage.

Campbell is also a careful observer of the countryside he marches through. He evaluates the farmland for crops as well as the small towns for prosperity and the scenery for beauty. Aware of its political import, he attends and reports on a "Unionist" meeting in Huntsville in March 1864, a meeting held in response to Lincoln's 1863 Amnesty and Reconstruction Act.

An ardent churchgoer and crusader against alcohol, Campbell is just as determined a Unionist and fervent anti-slavery man. His comments on the day to day life of a soldier in the Western theatre of the war reflect all of his deeply held convictions; he throws himself into battle as ardently as he criticizes his fellow soldiers for getting drunk or his superior officers for what he sees as their blunders.

Campbell's diaries follow the 5th Iowa through the battles along the Mississippi, including Corinth, Island #10, Vicksburg and Chatanooga. The maps in the book, while small, aid the reader in following the action although reading Campbell with an open Civil War battle atlas is more rewarding.

United States Coloring Book by Winky Adam
This is an excellent book for teachers to use. A map is shown for each state; with information on capitals, nick names, state mottos, flowers, birds, trees, main rivers and when the state came into the union. Each page also shows where the state is in the U.S. This is a great way for young students to learn about the country where they live.

Very helpful and informative
I have read several other books by this author and all have been well written and informative. The book is more of an overview than an exhaustive reference on the subject, but it is still well worth reading.

Clint Adams is WANTED: DEAD!
Another well written book in the series. Someone wants Clint Adams DEAD, and he has to find out who. I have read some negative comments on this series and I disagree. Sure, the books are quick reads, but they deliver. Robert J. Randisi is a talented and accomplished author, who has written all the books in the series. Some are better than others, but they all have a unique guality that separates them from other western series of this type. Give them a try, The Gunsmith draws fast and shoots straight.

In a Nutshell
Great reference for the warehouse manager or project manger. Provides an excellent explanation of the various warehouse activities and equipment. Very useful for project management with good walk-throughs for many warehouse / distribution projects; especially racking, WMS and RF. Also is a good reference for project management in general; provides many examples of project documentation and checklists. Detailed yet information is easy to find. I hope future editions take a closer look at scalability and tecnology that integrates the WMS with the Enterprise system. Overall a great resource for any Ops department...

This is not the storyteller's handbook revised!
contrary to what it may seem, this book is not a revised edition of the last (paperback) storyteller's handbook. it is an all new book containing lots of all new information, including frequently asked question section. While the book isn't the easiest read, it contains a great deal of valuable information, including some plot springboard ideas. Weather your a veteran storteller or a newbie, i would highly reccomend this book as an addition to your storytelling refrence library.
