Great Book
I'm so glad I came across this book! It's obvious Chris Adams was allowed into the inner Bunnyman circle. Lyrics, conversations, stories, this book has beaucoup info. It's the best book I've read on a band in a long time.

The coolest book ever published
This book goes beyond a mere biographic narrative of a band. It delivers as advertised, presented in the coolest layout design I've ever seen. If you're a Bunnymen fan then this is a must have; the lyrics alone are worth it, if you're a music fan then this is a must have because of the historical content with regards to music, Liverpool, and it shows that as a society there was substance in the music we listened to. This book proves "POPULAR" music did not just move from the 70's and disco into the 80's and hair bands. There was Echo and the Bunnymen bridging the gap from "POPULAR" music over to music that mattered and here they are telling us how it all happened. Mr. Adams has redefined the rock/music biography. Excellent!

Great book by a great author!
A terrific companion to the series, this book delighted both me and my children! If you enjoy the Wild Thornberrys, then you will treasure this book. Mr. Beechen captures the charachters perfectly, and the story is enchanting. This is a must have for any family library.

For All Ages
I had such fun reading this book. The characters were true to the series, and the plot was witty. Adults and children alike can enjoy reading the book and looking at the pictures. I hope Mr. Beechen keeps contributing to the series.

Tour de force
An extraordinary literary tour de force. A real treat... but it did NOT win the 1993 Booker Prize.

A challenging and mesmerizing read!
There is no question why this compelling novel won the 1993 Booker prize. Thorpe's recreation of life in a small English village over three hundred years is startling in its ability to grab the reader by the "emotional lapels" and shake hard. By revealing bits of history from widely varying perspectives, Thorpe communicates that, though times and social classes may differ, the essence of "being human" does not. The ending is also uncommonly satisfying. Treat yourself--read Ulverton!

Unseen Power: How Mutual Funds Threaten the Political and Economic Wealth of Nations

Understanding the current bust
This is an excellent book on how financial markets work and on why they have become so much more volatile in recent years. It explains how the performance pressures on fund mangers are making markets less efficient and why and how this inefficiency explains recent financial crises and the ups and downs of the stock market. Unlike most economists, Dr. Harmes successfully predicted the collapse of stock prices. He gives a sound explanation for why the Dow, and not just tech stocks, were overvalued and why the current correction and slowdown was so hard to predict - but why it could have been. His explanation builds and expands on Shiller's "Irrational Exuberance" argument and provides useful lessons to help investors in the current period of volatility.

Monetary policy, currency fluctuation, and herd behaviour
This book is not getting the attention it deserves. It is an outstanding book based on Dr. Harmes's PHd thesis from York University. He seems to cover everything: monetary policy, exchange rate fluctuations, capital controls, and herd behaviour. If you have some background in economics even better. Conservatives won't like the arguments but then again conservatives still think markets are 100% efficient!

A modern classic
Finally, some solid ground in this subject! This book pulls together a wide range of work done in this area in the past, and establishes a strong conceptual foundation (both of which are essential if this field is to become better established). Overall the difficult balance between historical synthesis, theoretical foundations, mathematical detail, and discussion on future directions is achieved very very well (nice color snaps too!). The definitive work in the field - highly recommended.

well done
an excellent publication - well done. The historical section is particularly interesting. Colour photos of images are clear and well presented. Of great interest to me are the proposals for the next generation of volumetric display. The text covers a considerable range of subject matter - this will take some perusal!

A close one for the U.S.
It is amazing that the US survived this conflict. The author's clear depiction of the politics and generalship (or lack thereof)leaves you wondering how the US ever made it out of this conflict relatively intact. This work is taken from Henry Adams great history that was originally published around 1890. The chapters relevant to the war of 1812 have been compiled to form a fine and detailed account of the war with Britain and Canada.

My only request for improvement would be the addition of an introduction that gives a clearer picture of the reasons for the conflict.

The Definitive History
In the introduction to this superb volume, Col John Elting, who has written his own version of the military history of this forgotten war, which is also a must have, states 'If you read only one history of that war, it still should be Adams!'

As a definite Elting fan, that is enough for me to buy, read, and use the book. It should also be enough for any historian/reader to buy this volume.

An extract of the much larger A History of the United States during the Administrations of Jefferson and Madison published almost a century ago, this history of a war the United States almost lost was originally published by the Infantry Journal at Fort Benning, GA. It was, and still is, the best one volume history of that war.

Adams had access to US Government papers and spent almost three years in European archives, many of those references now unfortunately lost because of two world wars. What he gives you is both the military and diplomatic side, and also some interesting views of the events interaction with the larger 'disagreement' going on at the time in Europe centering around Napoleon, Emperor of the French.

What you see is what you get. It is a great story, boldly and accurately told that has stood the test of time. It is highly recommended, and the introduction by Col Elting neatly says it all. The best purely military history is Col Elting's Amateurs! To Arms. Taken together they are incredible-two books you will never forget and will read and reread.

If yer looking fer a dog to kick cuz your friend got his neck streched by some pepper gut sheep dippers this book is fer you. If not then you probably don't have enough guts to make a string of ghost cord and you better look over your shoulder or someone will make wolves meat of you.

Ramon F. Adams was a great historian of the West
Western history books, novels, and movies (see TNT's "Purgatory") are becoming more "accurate" with the language that was used during the great cowboy era of the US. This book will help you with that terminology. Ramon F. Adams was one of the great historians of this period. His "Burs Under the Saddle" and "More Burs Under the Saddle" should be mandatory reading for those studying this period in our history.

Awesome
This is a awesome book !! I could relate to everything that was said in the book and it will help me make improvements in my life. If you have God in your life and follow the principles that are outlined you will only make yourself the Mighty Woman of God that your are destined to be. This book is for anyone single or married. I liked the way things were explained and nothing was held back. If something "hit home" I said "Ouch" and just kept reading. It held my interest all the way through and I am going to read it again and again!!

A Must Read For Everyone (Single and Married)
Where's Your Adam? is an awesome book! As I read this book, I was compelled to thank God for the relationship He had delivered me from as well as for the Adam He delivered me to. This book will open your eyes to the thornbushes that may be blocking your path. It is highly recommended for both single and married individuals.
