This is a superb book on Waterfalls especially in West Virginia which has the greatest secret treasure of Waterfalls(over 200) in the country!!This is a great book with beautiful photography!!

This book is not as limited as its title would indicate, but isa very thorough treatment of wave propagation in essentially all situations where diffraction is important. I've used it very successfully in calculating the imaging performance of my various peculiar laser microscopes, and have learned a great deal.

It's three times as expensive as most optics textbooks, but well worth it if it saves you a couple of days of calculations.

Robert Adams displays his photographic excellence in photographing the incredible power, yet subtle mergence of the Columbia River with the Pacific Ocean. The viewer is tranported to the beaches and shorelines by the excellence of Adam's incredible black & white photography.

Dr. Adam has done a phenomenal job of making sense of the complexities of postmodernist thought within theology and biblical studies. With his clear definitions, excellent examples and step-by-step reasoning he leads the newcomer through the maze of jargon and confusion that sometimes seems to surround postmodernism.

The one omission I found was that although Dr.Adam defines deconstruction and refers to its sibling, post-structuralism, he never really defines the latter. The references to post-structuralism are few, however, and do not really detract from the discussion.

I especially recommend this volume to those who, like me, have been fascinated by the snippets of postmodernist thought to which we've been exposed, but worried that the theories were too complicated to understand.

This is an outstanding book from a brilliant mind! I have used it to write two papers for classes and will continue to use it in the future. Dr. Adams writes from her own study of the Bible and is very open and honest with her viewpoints. Writing this book took a lot of courage for a Southern Baptist, and I applaud her for that. If you have ever considered the question of women in the ministry, this is an excellent resource!

What To Do On Thursday is an extremely helpful book! It helped me learn how to take the scripture that I am reading and apply it to the daily situations that I am faced with. I am so glad for the skills that I learned from this book. It is very high on my "must read again list". I highly reccomend it to anyone who is interested in learning how to apply the scriptures to their life.

This is a frightening account of the German, Austrian and Hungarian hyperinflations of the early 1920's. It includes blow-by-blow accounts by diplomats, bankers, and ordinary folk who survived the total annihilation of their currencies. Fergusson has done an outstanding job of documentation and must have spent thousands of hours in archives. It is indeed a shame that this book is out-of-print.

Although I haven't actually read this book yet, I'm quite excited about the quality of the size. It's the most pleasing of height/width proportions. I understand the thickness is exactly the thickness I need to be able to prop my portable television up at just the angle that I can see from my bed. And if that is not enough, the writing of Jonathon London and the illustration work Adam Gustavson have consistently been top quality.

Whereas the two other mentioned works are actually epic (although seemingly tell the story of an individual), this is a real lyric novelle telling the story of one man fighting the doomed fight against all that is impersonal in progress.

In addition to some sf/fantasy ideas you get great fiction and high art so I guess it's a good deal.
