This is an awesome book, it covers a huge range of topics and shows how physical thinking can provide answers to biological questions at scales ranging from the molecular to the cellular. Most biophsics books seem to get hung up on single molecules, but this one stands out by moving beyond the simplest building blocks and discussing higher order structures, self assembly, and cell motility. The book is highly accessible and does not demand advanced prior knowledge of physics or math.

I really enjoyed the writing-- style, subject, characters and all. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in anything having to do with the very important subject, the economy. It is a very important issue because you always here the president and his wife, the honor-worthy Hilary, refering to the vast economy of our blessed country.

This book is prepared for Industrial Engineering students who whave some manufacturing and statistics knowledge. It is easy to read book so that you can understand easily. The charts and examples are extremly perfect. Although it was written in 30's-40's, and printed in 1980;it is good for all times. There is nothing to be told as bad for it.

I am producing a 35mm feature film (it's shot, we are editing), and found these forms very helpful - if you are new to producing, they prevent wheel-reinvention.

I just returned from the first day of the NCTE conference in NYC where I attended a session on using picture books in the secondary classroom in conjunction with American classics. Judith Byron Schachner was in attendance and read her wonderful book in a mellifluous Irish brogue. This book is not just for young children. It is a terrific way to introduce high school students to Emerson and Transcendentalism.

Ralph McInerny's brief but thoughtful introduction indicates that the contributors were "asked to write stories with a religious motif or background" and notes that many of the authors set their stories in the past. (Expect a few anachronisms, such as "kilometres", in these.) McInerny himself contributes a Father Dowling story, set in the present, as well as a novella under his pseudonym Monica Quill. While any anthology is inevitably a mixed bag, most readers will enjoy most of the stories in this volume, and will want to find more stories by some of the authors. The term "Catholic" in the title, incidentally, includes "Anglican" and "Episcopal". If you are attracted by the title, you are apt to enjoy the book.

If you're currently employed in case management and need reference material, this book is the one. The title tells all. Dr. Buschbacher presents a concise, crisply worded outline of definitions, diagnoses, recommended testing, treatment plans and outcomes for the more common disorders (congenital and acquired) of the muscles and skeleton. I've found this book to be a lifesaver when researching an injury and treatment plan and recommend it. It's the most popular book in my cubicle; my co-workers borrow it 2-3 times a week.

Ralph Nader, in one word... genious. This man was my hero before I read the book, this just heightens my belief in him. He stands up for what he believes, never backs down, and will fight forever. He shut down the production of the corvair because it had defects that turned out to be deadly. He stood up to the corporate power of GM. Great man. Nader.
