An excellent read!!
As an Eastern Canadian, I knew very little about Saskatchewan's rich history. I thought Sakatchewan was limited to wheat and football. After reading this book, I anticipate travelling to this underrated province in order to discover its historic jewels firsthand. This book was very well-written. It touches upon the subtle flavours and treasures that form Saskatchewan's unique character. Meika Lalonde shows an extraordinary ability to present historical facts and stories with relevance and dynamism; no stagnant images of dusty relics here. This book now sits on my shelf alongside Crime and Punishment and Great Expectations.

Fabulous Biography
Barbara Mahoney has captured the essence of time and person. Most people will find Ralph Barnes an unfamiliar name in the context of pre-war America, but Dr. Mahoney, right from the beginning provides the reader with a reason to continue reading, melding the importance of the period with the accomplishments of the man: "He lived and reported in an era unsurpassed for its complexity and peril. His story is its story."
Three stories are harmoniously integrated into a compelling history of the time: the historical events of the period, the craft of reporting on those events, and the personal trials of having a family while constantly on the move. Above and beyond is Dr. Mahoney's contention that Ralph Barnes' interpretation and extrapolation of those events, was, for the most part, on target, unlike many of his contemporary colleagues. "Dispatches and Dictators" provides a unique look at a period of time that Ralph Barnes lived through and reported on, and appeals to both the professional and amateur historian. This is definitely a must read for anyone interested in the run-up to the signature event of the 20th century.

Fantastic insight into the why and how of creation.
Kish describes the reason and the process of creation as though he were present. And as if this wasn`t enough he then goes on to encourage the reader to discover it all personally giving instructions to access the experience themselves. This man has tapped into something we all should know. Frankly,my outlook has taken on an infinitly greater and more joyful turn---and I haven`t as yet even applied his simple instructions on tapping into the"source". I have never read anything to equal DIVINE LIGHT, ETERNAL LIFE.In fact I believe its revelations hold the key to a far better understanding of our individual and collective nature (and that of the universe itself) than a library of books.I guess it required a mystic to write a book like this one.

A remarkable diary written by a remarkable girl!
Anne Frank lived a secret life with her family. She had to hide from the Nazis and she wrote her experiences in a diary. This is written for ages 4-8, however I would recommend it for ages 6-8. This story has more complex sentence structure, information boxes an alphabetical glossary and a comprehensive index.

When Otto gave Anne a red and light-green checked notebook with a metal lock, she never imagined the impact she would have on the world by writing her thoughts down. This is in a story format with snippets from the actual diary.

There is a picture of the place Anne hid and a picture of Anne Frank. This book just brings her story to life for young children. When people think of Anne, they think of her courage, her sense of humor and her hopes for the future.

The actual diary was first published in America in 1952 as Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl. Anne dreamed of becoming one of the most famous authors in the world. I just wish she had lived to realize her dream.

For me, Anne Frank is symbolic of everything that is right about life and everything that is wrong about war. Thankfully Miep Gies kept Anne's diary which sadly, she had hoped to return to Anne. I think this book will help younger children gain a new appreciation for the lives they have and realize that not all children were as lucky to live the life they live.

Inspirational and sad, all at the same time. I have also reviewed the movie called: The Diary of Anne Frank (1959) which shows the beauty of the her spirit in the midst of an evil and ugly war.

A must-read for all interested in medical history
This was a good, well-written, interesting book. It gives you a peak at the horrible lives of people living thousands of years ago. It is a good overview while at the same time it gives you enough detail that you really understand what was going on. You should really read this book, although it's not a pleasent topic, as such. It creates some vivid pictures in your mind, but ones that could be importnat in many lines of work.
