This is a wonderful book.
Lombreglia's work is always a gret joy to read. The characters are both contemporary and timeless. The situations to painfully familiar. The seemingly tragic transcends into hope at the mot unexpected times, floating and wobbling from despair to some uncertain but glorious future. Although the style is very different, the eternal hopefulness in a land of despair is very reminiscent of Nabokov

This is the book I wish I had way back when...
Years ago, I read a book called "Where do we go from Here?" by an author named Ralph Neighbour. It gave me a burning desire to return to New Testament life, but it didn't tell me how to take a traditional church into cell-based ministry. This book, published ten years after Neighbour's book, really does explain an 8-stage process that works. If your church desires to move into cell ministry, you gotta read this book. When I last spoke with the publisher (TOUCH Outreach) I was told a field guide would be out some time in mid to late 2003. I'll get that too when it comes out. This is a good read, no matter what kind of cell groups you want to start.

Another Top-Notch Autobiographical Work by Ralph Moody
The 'Little Britches' series is every bit as exciting, historical, and fascinating as the 'Little House on the Prarie' series, and Moody has even outdone Laura Wilder in his characterization of great American values like hard work, independence, and respect.

Continuing on after the death of father in 'Little Britches', the second book in the series tells how the Moody family pulled together to survive in turn-of-the century Littleton, Colorado. From using stilts to become the best fruit pickers in town, to outsmarting the manager of the finest hotel in Denver, to trading free coal for a Christmas goose, Moody brings the reader right into this frontier family.

My children, ages 4 to 14, all sat in rapt attention as I read from this book, and every chapter was ended with cries of "just one more, Dad, please!"

The single most complete manual of photography!
I've had this book for years and find myself refering back to it time and again. It is complete and comprehensive and very technical. This is a great book for advanced photographers or anyone who needs to know "why?"

Medieval Political Philosophy: A Sourcebook (Cornell Paperbacks)

A fantastic sourcebook for Scholars of Medieval Philosophy
This is quite simply one of the best sourcebooks for Medieval Philosophy in existence. I am amazed at the inclusiveness of the work (focusing on all three major religions in Medieval Europe, instead of simply Christianity) and the fantastic translations. This book is a must-have for any scholar of Medieval Philosophy, but it is probably not for beginners, as the translations tend to be for scholarly use rather than for enjoyment.

Epic historytelling
An outstanding biography of Mehmed II and a disturbing history of his time. Historians rarely depict their subjects in such a thrilling manner as does Babinger. Everything is told: mass executions, doublecrossings, and the insatiable greed for power. This history is crucial to the better understanding of the current conflict in the former Yugoslavia.

A Rare Pesonal View Before the Civil War
One of the few accounts of the Mexican War, Kirkham's journal contains many unique descriptions of U.S. military activity. He graduated from West Point in 1842. After serving on garrison and frontier duty, he participated in the Mexican War, where he was took part in the battles at Contreras and Clmrubusco and was wounded in the battle of Molino del Rey. He was noted for gallant and meritorious conduct in the storming of Chapultepec and assisted in the capture of Mexico City. While in Mexico he was one of a party of six American officers who climbed to the summit of Popocatapetl which hadn't been climbed since the time of Cortez.

Microvascular Reconstruction: Anatomy, Applications, and Surgical Technique

Microvascular Reconstruction
Phenomenal resource for the resident or fellow of microvascular surgery. Good review of the basics and provides step-by-step instruction of the workhorse flaps that are used in reconstruction. It's a shame it's out of print as there is nothing else like it on the market today that I've found.

Mini CMMI® - Continuous Representation (SE/SW/IPPD/SS Ver 1.1)

Great To Be First!
For those who need to use the CMMI Continuous Representation, this handy pocket guide is as valuable as its companion for the Staged Model. Ralph Williams, an SEI Authorized CMMI Lead Appraiser and Transition Partner, hasn't overlooked anyone!

No matter where the process improvement professional may be, the "Mini-CMMI" can provide the needed reference to a goal or practice area. It's every bit as well organized as the Staged version. Personally, I have them both.
