I have a copy of charles and diana
Can anyone tell me what this book is worth

DEFINITELY NOT A KISS AND TELL BOOK LIKE SO MANY OTHERS
I FOUND THIS BOOK WHILE ON A HOLIDAY TO CANADA...I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING FUN AND LIGHT TO READ A BREAK FROM THE NORM. I THOUGHT THAT THIS MIGHT BE A "TELL ALL" THAT WOULD PROBABLY LEAVE ME FLAT AND WISHING THAT I HAD NOT SPENT THE TIME. NOT FOR A MINUTE. THIS BOOK, (SORRY TO HEAR THAT IT IS OUT OF PRINT, ALL THE MORE REASON TO WATCH FOR IT) IS A VERY INTELLIGENT OVER VIEW OF BOTH OF THE "HOUSES" OF WINDSOR AND SPENCER WITH A HEAVY LEANING TOWARDS THE HISTORY OF BOTH WHICH GIVES THE READER MUCH MORE TO DIGEST AND THUS UNDERSTAND MANY OF THE FRAILITIES OF THE ROYALS. BEFORE READING THIS BOOK, I WAS RESERVED IN MY OPINIONS OF CHARLES. RATHER JADED IN MY ASSESSMENT OF "WHO" HE IS. BUT NOW, I HAVE A DIFFERENT RESPECT AND UNDERSTANDING ABOUT THE COMPASSIONATE PERSON THAT HE IS. I THINK THAT GIVEN THE RIGHT CIRCUMSTANCES, HE WOULD MAKE A EXCELLNENT MONARCH IN TODAY'S WORLD. IN THIS BOOK, HE DEMONSTRATES THAT HE DOES HAVE A COMPASSIONATE HEART AND IS MORE THAN WILLING TO GET OUT TO THE PEOPLE TO FIND OUT WHAT REAL LIFE SOLUTIONS ARE NEEDED. HE DOES HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR AND IS QUITE INTELLIGENT AND INTUITIVE WITH REGARD TO WHAT IS RIGHT. I FEEL THAT THIS BOOK IS DEFINITELY MORE OF A "HISTORY" BOOK THAN THAT OF A GOSSIPY READ LIKE SO MANY THAT ARE FOCUSED ON THE TALES AND HEAR SAY OF THE WRITER, SOLD ONLY BY THE SENSATIONALISM THEY CREATE. THIS IS NOT AN ANDREW MORTON "DIANA" BOOK NOR IS IT A "FERGIE" BIO BOOK....IT IS TIME WELL SPENT AND I AM GLAD THAT I DID. LOOK FOR IT!

Great Resource for Indepth Study
Part of a multi-volume set. Would recommend the whole set to anyone embarking on serious study of scripture. Excellent way to see the variations in the different families of ancient texts. The Harmony of the Gospels is a valuable resource. The commentary is both scholarly and practical, without denominational bias. At one point in time World Library Press was working on an Old Testament version as well.

A gathering of all Bible study tools in a single source
The Complete Biblical Library combines every type ofconventional Bible study tool into a single source. The New Testamentset is 17 volumes, consisting of 9 Study Bibles (containing 70 English translations, verse-by-verse commentary, and a 5-line Greek Interlinear; 6 Greek-English Dictionaries (containing a concordance and word study on all 5457 Greek words); an Index/Greek Grammar volume and a Harmony of the Gospels. ¿cual Es La Prueba De La Resurrección?
Published in Paperback by Thomas Nelson (01 April, 2002)
Author: Ralph Muncaster
Amazon base price: $3.99
Average review score:

Concise, yet comprehensive. Will fascinate you!
As with all the booklets in Muncaster's "Examine the Evidence" series, this booklet packs a powerful punch of highly compelling and abundant evidence that the Bible must have been divinely inspired. Excellent concise, yet comprehensive presentation. The booklet size makes the content quickly digestable (and skeptical friends may be more likely to actually read it.)

WHAT IS THE PROOF FOR THE RESURRECTION
"WHAT IS THE PROOF FOR THE RESURRECTION" IS A VERY EXCITING BOOK. AS WITH ALL OF THE BOOKS IN" INVESTIGATE THE EVIDENCE" SERIES IT IS VERY EASY TO UNDERSTAND AND DOES NOT TAKE A LONG TIME TO READ. THE RESURRECTION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF A CHRISTIANS BELIEFS AND ALSO THE PLACE WHERE MOST SKEPTICS WILL TRY TO TEAR DOWN CHRISTIANITY. THE BOOK IS FILLED WITH ANSWERS AND EVIDENCES TO THE REAL TOUGH QUESTIONS. FOR INSTANCE, WHY DID JESUS TALK ABOUT BEING IN THE GRAVE THREE DAYS AND THREE NIGHTS, WERE THE GUARDS REALLY IN A POSITION TO BE ASLEEP LIKE THEY CLAIM, NON-CHRISTIAN EVIDENCES TO THE DEATH AND RESURRECTIN OF CHRIST,WHEN THE FIRST EASTER MOST LIKELY OCCURED. THE MOST INTERESTING PART IS ABOUT THE PROPHICIES ABOUT CHRIST DEATH AND RESURRECTION.( ONE FULL PAGE.)ALSO THE PAGES ON "THE PROPHECIES--STATISTICAL "PROOF" " IS VERY INTERESTING.THE DESRIPTION OF THE DISCIPLES FAITH AND TESTIMONY( EVEN WILLING TO DIE FOR THEIR BELIEFS.) IS VERY COMPELLING EVIDENCE OF CHRIST RESURRECTION. AFTER READING THIS BOOK, YOU WILL REALLY HAVE TO BE CLOSE MINDED TO NOT AT LEAST GIVE CONSIDERATION TO THE RESURRECTION OF CHRIST. READING THE BIBLE IS THE BEST WAY TO LEARN OF CHRIST, BUT I FEEL A BOOK LIKE THIS WILL SERVE VERY HELPFUL IN ANSWERING SOME OF THE QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. A REAL FAITH STRENGTHENER. MIKE WINTON

Dao De Jing: A Philosophical Translation
Published in Audio Cassette by Chivers Sound Library (January, 2003)
Authors: Roger T. Ames, David L. Hall, and Ralph Lowenstein
Amazon base price: $54.95
Average review score:

going to the source
Ames and Hall have pulled in the often-neglected cosmological origins of the DDJ, inspired by strips found with the Guodian strips.

The authors have been meticulous in picking through the intricacies of some fairly complex terms in a thorough, yet succinct, way.

I really really like the holistic perspective in the authors' interpretation of the verses. Instead of feeling like I'm being preached at from the pulpit, it feels like I'm sitting at a table over coffee and listening. It is with great sorrow that I read of Hall's passing. Knowing this team of writers will collaborate no more makes me sad.

Daoism realized!
I am now in my third decade of Taijiquan and Qigong play. I teach both of these Chinese forms. I have 14 different translations of the Dao De Jing, four of the Art of Warfare and five of the I Jing. For many years, I have been trying to make sense of the variations in translation. My experiences -- physical, mental and spiritual - from taijiquan and qigong have not always been congruent with my "rational" understanding of the written works.

Roger Ames translation s of the Dao De Jung, Yuan Dao and SunZi has dramatically changed everything. Ames has done what no one else has done. He has attempted to understand the Daoist writings within the classical Chinese mode of thought and then translate that into English without the accompanying Western dualistic (Cartesian) baggage that has imbued all previous translations.

Ames insights into classical Chinese "cosmology, ontology and epistemology are exemplary and amazingly revealing. No previous translation had achieved his depth of insight.

I am indebted to Roger for these wonderful translations and explications of traditional Daoist thinking and being. My "new" understanding of Daoist being in the world or as Roger says, "way-making", has allowed completely new insights and abilities to emerge from my taijiquan and qigong.

Anyone who has an interest in Daoism can do nothing better than to obtain copies of Ames Dao De Jing, Yuan Dao, Sunzi and Thinking from the Han. You will be, as I am, delighted with the concept of the Wu-forms and the idea that much of the Dao De Jing derives from traditional folks songs. Imagine singing or chanting the Dao! This connects, sympathetically, for me at least, to Australian songlines and to Dineh "harmony & beauty".

Ames work is essential reading for anyone who hopes to understand the classical Chinese worldview and become realized.

The Dangerous Trail
Ralph Compton does a very nice job telling the stories of the old cattle drives. I have read them all. It is tough to keep writing again and again using the same plot. This is compton's 14th. trail dr. book and there are 3 more as I count. All of these drives are inner twined with violant grudges, stampeds, rustlers and all the other unforseen haps. Buy them all, and buy all of the Compton stories written by Robert Vaughan, some of which are The Dakota Trail, The Alamosa Trail, and The Bozman Trail. There are other Compton books by Robrt Vaughan to and they are all excellant.

Outstanding!! Great feel of the Old West...
This rendition of the old west, the "cowboy life", and the genre of the era is well defined in this novel. This is the first book that I have read by Ralph Compton and I cannot wait to start from the beginning of the Trail Series. After reading this, I only wish there was still a time and place where ranchers, cowboys, and trail riding were of common place. It makes you wish you were a part of it.

The Pediatric Dental Bible, Gets Better With Each Edition
I have all the editions of this textbook. The authors continue to update all areas of pediatric dentistry. Since the speciality of pediatric dentistry is one of primary care, the dentist must continue to be current in all the areas of dental treatment for the child. The chapters in this textbook are well written and cover a multitude of subjects. The dentist who uses it as a reference will be well informed.

Der Fuehrer: Hitler's Rise to Power

It Was The Economy, Stupid!
While even many of his followers believed Hitler to be a "joke" not a threat, and few people really believed his propaganda, he was able to pull the nation out of the post-WWI depression and achieve complete power over Germany! The welfare state became his power base -- and it's all explained in this magnificent book written while it was happening. Every United States Voter should read this book, especially in the dawning 21st Century.

Best description of how Hitler rose to power in print
Der Fuehrer, by Konrad Heiden, published in 1944 by Houghton-Mifflin, is one of the best, if not the absolute best book I have read on Hitlers rise to power. From chapter one, "The Protocols of the Wise Men of Zion", the only history of this nefarious document's origin that I have found, Heiden gives the most detailed background history of Germany and the surrounding nations. His ability to take you from the end of WWI into the turmoil and chaos of post-war Europe is unparalleled. Being German and having lived through that time, he is able to impart an understanding and a grasp of the forces pulling the German people into this malestrom of uncertainty, desperation and chaos that brought the German people to such a level of anxiety that they could readily embrace such a figure as Hitler. For anyone interested in how one of the high cultures in Europe could degenerate into madness in such a short time, this is a "must read".

a must buy for all New Testament scholars
All you wanted to know about the Acts, Hebrews, Catholic Epistles and Revelation are in this dictionary. A must buy for anybody wanting to know more about the New Testament. Together with the other three volumes, (Jesus and the Gospels; Paul and his letters; and New Testament background) it makes a very interesting dictionary on the New Testament. I found the articles on the Catholic Epistles and Textual Criticism very interesting and informative. Look out for the Old Testament series in 2002.

A Powerful Resource for Christians Everywhere!
In every respect, Dictionary of the Later New Testament is a magnificent achievement in the study of early Christianity. It is both authoritative and scholarly and takes the study of early New Testament literature to a new level. I found the articles on Hebrews and Acts to be especially well written and helpful, and the book's thorough coverage of other non-canonical early church literature was refreshing. Take my word, Dictionary of the Later New Testament is a "must have" for any serious student of the Bible. I guarantee, it won't just "sit" on your bookshelf, but rather, it will become one of your most trusted resources!

Dinosaurs: The Encyclopedia, Supplement I (Dinosaurs. the Encyclopedia, 1st Ed, Supplement No 1)
Published in Hardcover by McFarland & Company (December, 1999)
Authors: Donald F. Glut and Ralph E. Molnar
Amazon base price: $60.00
Average review score:

How do you top the perfect book? Add to it!
In the ever changing science of paleontology, sometimes it is impossible to keep up...until now. Donald F. Glut's Dinosaurs: the Encyclopedia, along with this subsequent and future supplements, reviews and condenses ALL (not merely some) of the technical papers published on the "terrible lizards" and packs them into one place. Want to know whatever happened to Brontosaurus? Look it up! For the budding enthusiast who is not quite sure what all the jargon means, a dictionary of terms is included in the back. If you are serious or want to be serious about the study of dinosaurs, Glut's encyclopedia is the place to start. Personally, I plan to purchase any and all future supplements to this wonderful bible of dinosaur science.

More good stuff
Following in the footsteps of the original, the suppliment provides a detailed account of dinosaur research in the last couple of years. It covers both newly discovered species, as well as revisions of old ones, and goes at some length into general controversies about the life and extinction of the dinosaurs as well. Like the original, it makes no concessions to the lay person. But if you can follow the lingo, it's got all the information you could want, and lots of cool pictures to boot.
