Citoyen Toussaint
My father who was from Haiti did translate this book into French before he died in Sept.1999 and got the author's family the right to publish this French version of the book. Toussaint Louverture was one of his favorite heroes since he fought against slavery with much success. But so far no editor in France that he contacted ever accepted to publish it. I've started to type all the French text into my computer and I have in mind to publish it over the Internet. Is there any means to get any formal acceptance from Ralph Korngold's descendants? Please email me any info that could help make Toussaint and Haiti, the first black republic, more widely known worldwide and go on with my father's work. Thanks.

Delightful accounts of the earliest disease descriptions.
This collection of the earliest descriptions of common diseases provides wonderful insights into how early physicians dealt with diseases which, in most cases, they were incapable of treating. The descriptions pay tribute to the observational skills of the earliest physicians, who had little to offer their patients other than a prognosis based on keen diagnostic skills and careful observation. The introduction by Major to each description provides the setting for understanding the period in which each physician wrote. You do not have to be interested in history to appreciate the perspective this work gives on modern medical practice. This would be a particularly good gift for the student beginning medical school. It was given to me on that occasion 30 years ago and I still enjoy reading the descriptions.

Full color pictures and great scenery
My son loves tractors and he enjoys sitting at the dinner table and looking at the picture of the month. Tractor has long been his first word and this calendar, originally bought for his Daddy, has now become his. If you love tractors or know someone who does......this is a great buy!!!!!!!!!
Classic Rock Climbs No. 12: Ralph Stover State Park, Pennsylvania

Great, but not all inclusive
This is a decent review of Ralph Stover as a climbing area. It covers all the standard climbs with decent information on the area and it's pretty easy to find the routes. However, there are areas not covered in the book (to the East and towards the river).

Cleft Craft a timeless classic
Cleft Craft is a 3 volume set written by Dr. Millard who developed many of the techniques used today in cleft lip and cleft palate surgery. The set includes complete discussions on cleft lip, cleft palate, alveolar clefting and other more rare forms of facial clefting. It is well written, concise yet complete. Since the book was opriginally published in th e1950's some of the material is naturally outdated. However, the techniques described by Millard are still used today and his book remains an essential read for cleft lip and palate surgeons.

Simplifies the Sales Process
This is a really helpful book. Thornton doesn't make you memorize a lot of fancy closing techniques. He simplifies it so even the beginning salesperson can benefit. It is rare to find a sales book that is so easy to use, and the strategies really make sense to me. Can be read in less than an hour. It is all meat, no fluff.

2 more poems
This "collected poems 1934-1953" has 2 poems that "collected poems 1934-1952" (which has all poems Dylan himself wished to be included at that time, 1952) doesn't have: "In Country Heaven" and "Elegy". Former was intended by him to be included in some future collection and latter, this is the last, but unfinished poem Dylan ever wrote.

back cover blurb
Conventional wisdom among knife-fighting experts has it that knife throwing is a pursuit best left to circus performers, hillbilly theme parks, and hobbyists and that it is useless for combat or other survival purposes. In this ground-breaking new book, Ralph Thorn differentiates between "circus" knife throwing and combat knife throwing, and reveals his style of knife throwing suitable for actual combat and knife fights.
The author, who has practiced his craft for decades, begins by showing you how to balance a knife for throwing -- and how to make your own throwing knives out of readily available materials. He shows you how to build targets (and what makes the best targets), and how to practice the various combat throwing techniques, with an emphasis on both safety and practicality. Ralph Thorn demonstrates the overhand, underhand, and sidearm throws, and discusses the situations where each style works best.
"One way of expressing the essential difference between circus-style and spear-style throwing is to say that in the former you try to make every throw as similar as possible and in the latter you can and should treat every throw differently. Circus-style throwing is a game of dexterity that requires a single, very specific skill; in this it is much like bowling or billiards. Spear-style throwing can be like this if you want to stand still and throw for accuracy alone, but it can also become a freestyle sport, more like martial arts or skateboarding than like circus throwing. And, of course, it can be used for self defense." A truly path-breaking book, Combat Knife Throwing should be read by every sportsman, knife aficionado, and anyone interested in self defense.
