Very weak; written by a real estate agent!
Book is weak; text should have the critical and in-depth writing of an attorney, but this weak book sounds like a touchy-feel session given by a pep-talk real estate agent trying to sell some canon-fodder real estate professional wanna-be a class, any class.
book has no place on this site! It should be hustled in the bookstore of a real estate board where they dont know any bettersave your money: this author has very little clues as to Mchigan real estate law, though with better research this Palmer book could be of assist to someone wanting some knowledge of Michigan legal points in real estate, but, again, this book misses the mark,

dull yet informative
James Ralph's account of the Chicago Freedom Movement was very informative, yet just lacked something...interesting details, perhaps, photos maybe...the language is very understandable, yet I still found my self falling asleep after every 10 pages or so. It's valuable for academia, but not a candidate for a "weekend read."

This book is junk
I'm a UC Davis student who took the plant biology course that uses this book. The professor doesn't even follow the book because it's so bad. It's unorganized, confusing, and useless for my class. Even some of the illustrations in the book are wrong. Don't buy this book if you just plan to learn plant biology. If you have to buy this book because course requirement, good luck

ripoff
this is one of my favorite Emerson works. It opens itself up to so much, talking about his theories of influence, precursing everything from queer theory and gender transitivity to Harold Bloom, and it is a poem, too. It's beautiful. It offers his thoughts on the most diverse materials, gets into the most detail on his Hindu readings, gets very brave in "Swedenborg." But ... for a 165-page book? Delbanco's intro is boring and useless. Don't even READ it before you read the book. It'll be like watching an educational video on yeast infections before watching a porno. The index is a kind of neat feature; it's cool to see how many men are mentioned how many times. For example, the most obvious 'omission' in the book, JESUS, is mentioned only 5 times in the book, but he lurks throughout in so many ways. I love the book, but think the edition is a huge ripoff. However, it is difficult to find all these essays in one volume without buying a "complete works" or something, and they are ALL good and work together as a complete 'book,' one essay building off the prior in subject and time, going from B.C. to the nineteenth century, from Plato to Napoleon and Goethe.

a rehash of the program's menus
I was disappointed with this book. It is a reference organized by the menus that you would see while running the software.
It spends most of the time on basic operations that you already know by using most Windows software, such as selecting objects, cut & paste, etc.
I didn't learn much from this book.

He makes insidious allegations against ex-wife Skeeter Davis, and while there are two sides to every story, her tale is not needed for this version to sound dubious on its own merits. Among the anecdotes he includes are juicy vignettes about many country singers. Some such as Merle Haggard's lamentation seems like they were obviously intended to have been kept off the record.
Perhaps the book's biggest drawback is that it lends credence to the long whispered rumor that Ralph Emery was never a true country fan. In it he refers to the late Keith Whitley as having won the CMA Horizon award the year before he died. In reality, he was nominated but lost. The supposed epitome of country radio also states that Nashville's annual thank you party Fan Fair is held every year in early July, but it is actually held in early June. These embarrassing misstatements suggest that the editors were also not well versed in country music info.
