True, often ignored, Texas roots
The best way to learn history is from the mouths of those who lived it, and enjoying the experiences of the King Ranch Kinenos and the vaqueros of the Kenedy Ranch through their unadorned, first-person accounts puts the reader right back at the last fringes of the Old West period. Indian attacks, raids by Pancho Villa and forays by the Union and the Confederacy forces disrupt but do not change the tradition rich life of the Hispanic cowboy. Loyal until death, theirs was a life of service, duty, and honor. This is a can't-miss read for fans of Texana, Hispanic history, and ranching life.

a fantastic movie for youngest and oldest
I have seen Bambi plenty times and loved it each time more - and I am a man with an age of 27 - It is already a quiet old movie and the technics to produce such movies today are much better but this do not reduce the charm and lovelyness of this movie. I would advice every parents to get it for its childs. It is a classic Walt Disney movie and one of the best they ever made.

A wonderful movie with gorgeous animation!
Sleeping Beauty was, of course a good movie for those Disney fans who love the great artist's works. The three good fairies, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather offered a single gift to the newborn princess. But the evil Maleficent crashed the party and cursed Aurora by pricking her finger to the venomous spindle of a spinning wheel and die at her 16th birthday. As a Disney fan, I'm considering that this beautiful young princess will be saved at last by the third of the fairy trio, Merryweather, who had given to her this almost tiny gift: When Aurora pricks her finger into evil witch Maleficent's spinning wheel, she cannot die. Instead of death, the princess will sleeping into a deep slumber until a charming prince wake her with the true love's kiss. So Maleficent turns herself into an evil black fire-breathing dragon to stop Prince Phillip to rescue sleeping Aurora. But the good fairies combine their magic to the mighty Sword of Truth, chanting "Now, Sword of Truth, fly swift and sure. That evil die and good endure!", and the prince throw his magic sword straight as an arrow into the dragon's heart. I'm sure that's a nice movie and I strongly recommend it to all the children beginning from 5 to 12 years old.

A must for young women...
Although this is a young adult book, I belive every teen-age girl should read it. It shows so much on a woman's struggles in a man's world, when her mother cast her aside as a disgrace to the family. A great book for horse lovers as well, the scenery seems to be pained before you in the Devonshire countryside of Britian. This is one of those books you keep as a childhood reminder of a favorite story, and always have the urge to read again and again regaurdless of age.

Beautiful collection, lots of varitey,inspirational
This is a beautiful collection of watercolor paintings featuring a wide range of different subjects including nature, animals, people, landscapes and still lives. It will offer inspiration for years to come.

Each picture lists the artist, tile, size and paper used. A brief comment by the artist is also included. All images are placed one to a page. Contact information for each artist is included in the back.

Some of my favorite paintings include a colorful, energetic landscape titled the Blue Shadow Side by Harold Gregor and a portrait of four little girls of various ethnic backgrounds by Judithe Randall. I liked the whimsical mushroom piece called Magical Forest VIII by Jerry Little and the nostalgic tricycle by D. Denghausen. I also enjoyed a polar bear by Colleen Newport Stevens called Midnight on the Ice, done mostly with a wet-in-wet technique.

This book is a great addition to any watercolor artists or enthusiast's library. It also makes a great gift.

All you ever need to KNOW about yourself!
Out of print.. but now under the title "7 Steps to Developing your Intuitive Powers" -- I think this has been the best book that I have ever used and worked with to truly understand myself. It has helped me to see things in a positive way, obtain goals, and affirm what I want or need -- and to let go of guilts, fears, and "hang ups" that I have "acquired" over my lifetime. Working with this book, and Betty's, "The Dream Book" have become a way of life for me. It's a great feeling and EASY - I truly owe it to these books & Betty's EASY meditation technique taught in both books for the growth that I have made. Perfect book to start your own workshop with friends to get in and change yourself for the better. Consists of 7 chapters and "worksheets" at end of each chapter to explore yourself and your feelings. You OWE it to yourself to give it a try!

A Family Affair
I think this is one of the best books Betty Neels has ever written, and I have read several of her books. This story takes place in England, as many of her books do, and I find the British terms she uses intriging.

The main reason that I am so enthralled with her books and especially this one, is her delightful depiction of children in her writing. She developes all of her charactors with warmth, gentleness and total realism so that the reader feels they are drawn into the story themselves.

Weeping Violins: The Gypsy Tragedy in Europe

A wonderful historical recounting of a forgotten segment
This book brings to light some of the other populations that have faced discrimination for centries, the gypsies. Folts has personal knowledge that shines through the horror of Nazi Germany's devastating era. Everyone who is concerned about history repeating itself, should read this book. This is discrimination and scapegoating at its worst. Man's inhumanity to man. The book is well documented and thoughtfully written without sentiment.
