This was a cute love story about two teenagers falling in love. Mary Anne, 14 years old, took a summer job babysitting Catsy, only in order for her to make enough money to buy new ballet shoes. Little does she know what's in store for her! Catsy's older brother returns home from boarding school for the summer. The two of them fall in love, not caring about the four-year difference in their ages. Their relationship grows as they sail on his boat, visit the country club, and spend afternoons at the beach. The summer comes to a quick end and he starts to pull away from her. Maryanne often asks herself if their relationship will stay or if it will leave along with his departure to school in the fall. This book was an enjoy to read and I recommend it to all!

Elvira Bellegoni has shared some of her experiences in "Love The Least Of My Children" that can be enjoyed by all ages. Written in a style that a child could read, the depth of the messages will be perceived differently by each reader depending on his/her own relationship with God. This book may be used to teach children to see the marvels of God's hand working through all things; or a connection for one who has been looking for God but could not see; or maybe a smile and nod of recognition from a reader whose heart overflows with a warm loving glow from their own personal experiences. Gorgeous photographs, beautifully written, great explanations and patterns, too! This is a collector's item, in my opinion.

My daughter asks me every night to read this book to her over and over. The pictures are beautiful, and the repetitive lines help my daughter to participate in the reading. This is a Christmas book every family would enjoy!

Tired of having several large books for a project when you only use a portion of the info? Than this is the book for you. Small but packed with great information and intruction on how to make beautiful hand dipped candles. This book is a must for the new or experienced candle maker.

Reading this book really caused me to look at myself. I had a very happy marriage to start out with, but with the tools that I have learned from this book, we are just that much happier!

If you are interested in lighthouses and the Great Lakes in general, then this book will greatly interest you. Read the story about the beautiful Marblehead lighthouse and it's history. I've seen this beauty twice, but sadly have not been able to make it to the area when they give tours. Another hard to find regional history book.

This is one of Ms. Neels' most charming books. I have read in over and over with enjoyment. The characters are first rate and all lively and divine in their own right .... from the battle ax old Aunt to the loving but clueless parents to the fashionable selfish woman suitor to the two teenage sisters who assist in any way they can ! :) Enhancing this clever and entertaining tale is the fact that the eminently practical Mary, a selflessly compassionate daughter, much to her annoyance falls in love at first site with the Professor, who is a little slower on the uptake.

I have to remember where the story take place for the mother made me upset with her selfishness and telling Matilda that she was the selfish one. It help to enhance the ending. It is definitely a Cinderella story if ever there was one. I enjoyed the way Matilda worked her way in the villagers hearts and into the doctor's as well. I love Betty Neels and trying to collect every book she ever written. I look forward to reading them all.
