This cool little cookbook has various meatless recipes with detailed coleor photographs to guide you thru the process of preparation. The Salmon Quiche resipe is excellent as well as the Calico Rice Bake. But in my opinion, the best recipe is the Meatless Lasagne. The instructions are clear and concise and the photographs are a great help, especially if you're a novice cook.

This is almost as good as Memoirs of a Married Woman by the same author. The writer knows how to make marriage laughable and funny. I really did like it.

This is one of the funniest books I've ever read. Meantime, it reads like the wind. On every page, there's something to laugh at about the "state of this remarkable marriage" and Ivy, the main character who is a more than remarkable woman. Couldn't put it down. I wonder why this person hasn't written more books. She's talented and laugh-out-loud funny. A real find!

I bought this little paperback for .25 at a Flea Market in Va. and waited several months to read it. It was excellent. It shows so much of the sugar cane history of La. in addition to the yellow fever deaths which took place in the mid 1800's. If the author should happen to read this, I would like to know what she is doing now. The end was predictable but I was happy for it to end as it did. Go, Adam

This is a superb book with black and white photographs of postcards from the Monterey area and vicinity. It shows postcards from Santa Cruz, Wastonville, Salinas, Monterey, Carmel, Pacific Grove, Etc. A fun book to peruse.

I received this book from a good friend of mine for Christmas several years ago at a time in my life when I needed to be in touch with God more than ever. This book is perfect for a busy woman. It has one page devotions for every day of the year. Some will have you smiling all day and some of them "just hit home." There is a good mixture of laughter and spiritual medicine in this book. GREAT for Christmas gifts to those ladies that have just been special to you (Sunday School teachers, prayer partners, etc.) They will thank you over and over for this one. I am a psychologist in an elementary school, and this book is one of my students' favorite tools.
