Author needs to review this book for correctness.
I have just completed a course in Basic Nursing using Potter and Perry's Basic Nursing : Essentials for Practice and used the suggested study guide by Castaldi. I would inform you that we (our class) discovered errors on numerous occassions in the study guide text that need to be addressed/corrected by the author. These primarily pertained to answers for some of the practice questions. The instructors at our school contacted the publisher and were told that they were aware of the situation and attempted to help by posting the corrections on a website. However, this didn't happen before we completed the course. On a positive note I would say that aside from some frustrations I found the study guide to be quite helpful with my studies.

Good Lyrics, Bad Selection.
This complication of songs from Bells Are Ringing is truely a gem for those who enjoy Jule Styne's lyrics. Unfortunely, everything but right is mashed into this vocal book, which features mostly forgettable songs, which weren't the ones known to even the deepest fans. Only "Is It A Crime" and "Just In Time" were the favorable ones chosen in this one, and with all of the notes jammed all over the place, it's sometimes quite hard to conentrate on where you left off last.

George can be annoying.
... If you are a Betty Neels fan, read this one. However, the conflict--old girlfriend and sly male cousin is very annoying. George lets it all go on too long, and Phoebe is too nice about it. Otherwise, typical Ms. Neels.

The Best of Betty Neels: Visiting Consultant

Not too much tension
Sophy is an operating room Sister. She is very good at what she does. Max Oosterwelde is a visiting consultant. They both have the same godfather (another surgeon). That's the way they get thrown together all the time. Not much of a story, no desperate money troubles on the part of the heroine, no beautiful girlfriend, just misunderstandings. If you like an easy Betty Neels story, this is it.

Nice
I grew up playing with Lettie Lane paperdolls, also by artist Sheila Young, and was excited to find that this item was available as well. While I enjoyed looking at all of the different outfits and how each doll has its own unique features, I was disappointed that they were too big to be used with the Lettie Lane dolls. Even some of the characters within the book itself are not size-matched to be used together. So, while the dolls and outfits are beautiful, I rate it at 3 stars for the size issue.

Not that entertaining
I was disappointed with this book. Some of the recipes sounded pretty good, but the pictures weren't very well done. I wanted more pictures of the recipes. For example, they had a wedding menu and a Christmas menu, but not a single picture of either one, while they had several pictures of a vegetable stand. I know what vegetables look like, I wanted to see the food. Plus, I noticed that they really had their favorites and they pushed them. There must have been a dozen recipes with grapefruits or grapefruit juice, which I hate.

Betty Crocker's Microwaving for 1 or 2
Published in Hardcover by Random House (November, 1990)

Review of "Betty Crocker's Microwaving for 1 or 2"
This book is geared towards small households that rely on the microwave for preparing convenient meals. Of course, larger households can also make use of this tome whenever they need to cook in small batches.

A six-page first chapter deals with tips and techniques. Here you will find information on microwavable utensils, shopping and storage. The rest of the chapters are about hearty main dishes, minimain dishes, side dishes, and snacks and sweets.

One of the positive points of this book is that the ingredients for the recipes are listed in separate columns (for one and two servings) in order to avoid confusing the novice cook. I also find helpful the fact that the charts include information on power level setting, procedure and time although I miss the one regarding nutritional values. The illustrations in full color are a plus too.

New Author
Passion is the generator of war, the essence of life, and the reason for writing this story. Passion was not a sin, but left to run unchecked it lead to the sin of war and slavery. Canaan's Land seems to have all the passion needed to tell a good story of an uncomfortable time that America would soon forget, but shouldn't. This writer did a good job is telling the untold story. She could have used a good editor first for reasons obvious, but other than that, I would strongly recommend this book as a piece of untold history that should be told.

Fall off a bike and into love
Back Cover description: There would be no romance! Caroline had never imagined that anyone would want to marry her--she wasn't pretty or clever in any way. But the imposing Professor Radinck Thoe van Erckelens did propose to her--and having speedily fallen in love with him, she accepted. Radinck was clear about what he wanted in a wife--a convenient hostess! Caroline had to decide whether to settle for that, or set about changing Radinck's feeling for her.

Another good Betty Neels story. This plot is slightly different in that there is really no beautiful girlfriend to cause friction. The friction comes from Caroline trying to get Radinck to notice, care and love her. Nice pacing and the plot moves. My only complaint is that the ending seems rushed.
