Another wonderful Betty Neels book!
This is another wonderful book by English romance book author Betty Neels, her books are really a delight to read and I have found them quite addicting, I can't get enough of them and I'm always looking for her older books in used book stores which isn't always easy as the few used book stores in my town have long waiting lists for her books and as soon as they get her books they are gone, and they rarely get her books anyway because most people like her books so much that they keep them and won't part with them for anything! I was lucky to have found a copy of A Kind Of Magic that was in good condition and it is a really great book and I like the characters a guy named Fergus Cameron and a young lady named Rosie MacDonald and I like how the story took place in England and Scotland because as much as I like her books that took place in England and Holland the locale of Scotland was a welcome change. I recommend this book, it's a keeper, well at least for me it is!

FATE & A SMART SCOTTISH DOCTOR FIND THEIR FEISTY MATCH !!
COVER: Rosie had a recipe for Mr. Right ....
"The man I marry must dote on me, cherish and love me for always, even when I'm bad tempered or sneezing my head off."
Fergus Cameron certainly wasnt' likely to fit that bill. Arrogant, exasperating, absolutely determined to have his own way - he was exactly the sort of man most women found annoying - and Rosie was no exception.
Of course, she had to admit he could be charming when it suited him. But since he'd already announced that he'd found the girl he planned to marry, Rosie couldn't care less......
This heroine is so busy being good to all her family and elderly relations that she forgets to just please herself. :) She keeps telling herself that she is going to be very picky in a mate, but she has a huge heart with a limitless capacity for loving anyone, warts and all. She is a loving selfless daughter and a wonderful person and the hero is fast to catch on and quick to realize that he needs to hold on with both hands !!

Outstanding!
We borrow a lot of books from the library, and not many stand out. But this one is a winner! My 4 year old and I love this one so much that I am going to buy a copy for us. It has wonderfully clever rhymes about topics that interest kids. I highly recommend it.

Reading has NEVER been this much fun!
Since first reading "The Seven Silly Eaters" about a year ago, I have become a Mary Ann Hoberman addict, and am thrilled to have recently added "The Llama Who Had No Pajama" to my growing collection. She is a master of silliness, and you and your children will laugh with delight at the poems in this collection. I bought my first copy for my first grade classroom, and have since bought a second copy for my four-year old. My first graders are eating this stuff up - we read some of them together, and they keep going back for more - some of them can even recite the title poem! (And it's long!) This is also a wonderful introduction to poetry for pre-schoolers - if you've got one, and have never really read any poetry with him/her, it's a great way to develop a love of reading, as well as rhyming ability which is a key to early reading development!

A wonderful, old-fashioned book for young women.
Having always been intrigued by old-fashioned advice and customs, I found this book to be a wonderful read. It's designed to be a step by step self-improvement program for shy teens with a low self-esteem. The author shares caring advice on everything from defining your goals to defining your style to walking gracefully and acting confident. As well, the book includes chapters on taking care of your skin and hair and doing your make-up properly. By sharing many of her own stories and traumas she went through as a teenager, the author establishes a friendly, personal mood with the reader. Although the book appears old and dated, the advice it features is timeless.

Great book on Censorship!
I've read this book countless times and I still love it! A great plot, showing the barbaric, hurtful lengths that some of us will go to in the name of keeping our children "pure". Filled with emotion, this book is a must-read. There were times I wanted to cry, and several times that I was cracking up! Great for sparking thoughtful discussions in a classroom or family.

One of most inteligent books about sensorship!
I read this book when I was in middle school and have reread it several times since then. This book shows how simple misunderstandings can lead to great heartache and sorrow. Ms. Miles writes her characters with intelligence and her story is well thought out. I wish this book would be taught in schools but I'm sure that it would find itself in the same predicament as the books in the story. I plan to have my children read this book when they start middle school.

Of critical importance to parents, policy makerers, and edu
Hart and Risley have created an easy to read volume that speaks readily to parents, policy makers and educators. This book is a must for anyone who truly wants to understand the relationship between the way we interact with children and the evolution of their intellectual development. If you are interested in poverty prevention, early literacy intervention or the impact of family based literacy on childrens' academic success, you will be inspired by the work of Hart Risley.

Serious implications for early child intervention efforts
This book is one of the by-products of one of the most dedicated efforts to understand variances in the development of language. One of the reviewers of the book states that the work "...is a detective story of the most serious academic kind." Yet the book is written in a manner that would allow it to be required reading for "Parenting 102" if not "Parenting 101". The implications for parenting and public policy are profound

Great book for teachers
This is a good teacher resource especially during this election year. My kids really enjoyed the book and learning something about the election process.

Attention Teachers!
This is the cutest book about the Presidential Election Process ever! The Barnes' have done it! Teachers should run to get this book and prepare for the fall to teach about the election as it draws closer! The way the book is set up, it goes through every step of the election process in a simple yet clear and complete manner. As a third grade teacher, I will use this book and many others written by the Barnes' to teach my class about the governmental process. I think that children will be amused and at the same time learn a great deal of political information! Enjoy!

Mitsubishi Type I Rikko Betty (G4M) Units of World War II
Osprey has again come through with the goods with this 22nd volume addition to its series. It is filled with the same highly detailed aircraft and unit data readers have come to expect, and receive, from Osprey publications. It has this and a great deal more. I found it insightful and hard to put down. If this volume has any shortcomings it would be that it is so readable that it will be quickly digested by the reader! Mr. Tagaya held my interest through every chapter. I eagerly await the next volume by this gentleman (D3A Val Units) as a result of my satisfaction with this fine piece of research. A great deal of insight from various and numerous Japanese sources is very much in evidence here. Readers are exposed to the G4M Betty and the hardships of the aircrews/units that flew it to be sure, but as an added benefit Mr. Tagaya's research sheds light on the chasm of differences between Japanese and American air campaign theory and management in WW 2. Anyone with a more than casual interest in the subject will quickly realize its value and want to keep this reference readily available. Worth every cent you'll pay, and more!

Another good book of the Combat Serie
The Betty is a famous japanese ww2 bomber, but on his operative are until today few notices. The book is the n° 22 in the growing Osprey Combat Serie; as usual is very well done, with rare photos, many colour plates, some orders of battle for the various air group and enough details on operative use. The evolution of the Sentai strenght and the appaling losses suffered from the aircrw are also well detailed. The action against the Force Z on december 10, 1941 and the use versus US Navy ships in the Guadalcanal campaign, is enriched with day by day account of the mission. I found the book in some way better than others in the same serie, with a particular attention toward new informations on the "Betty".

A children's classic
I grew up reading the Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle series. I loved every single story and I still remember them vividly. They may be a little dated but the lessons are still current and they are still very amusing.

Excellent book. I'm ordering them for my daughter!
I remember sitting in the library when I was little reading Mrs. Piggle Wiggle books over and over again. I loved everyone one of her "cures" and now that I have a daughter of my own I want her to have her own copies of these classics from my childhood.
