A riveting account of a true story
This book is a real page turner. Author Anthony Strollo writes of his experience on the hostage rescue team during the Attica prison riot, which resulted in the death of about 40 hostages and prisoners. Strollo's main goal is to get his brother Frank, who was one of the hostages, out alive. He keeps the reader in suspense right up until the last moment.

A compulsive page turner. Storytelling does not come better.
Do you really like to read? Do you enjoy a good story? Are you fed up with obvious endings? Give yourself a treat, read this. There are weaknesses in the text but not in the underlying themes or the gripping narrative. This is a film script in waiting, you can see it on the screen as you read, you can visualise the events as they happen. Buy it, read it, wait for the next book and buy that! There is a level of naievty to this author but that give you a freshness that is truly refreshing.

The Framing of a Thought
Published in Paperback by Dorrance Publishing Co (November, 1997)
Author: Morris Anthony Johnson
Amazon base price: $11.95
Average review score:

This is a dynamic piece of art.
Seldom does one come across a work which encompasses so many aspects of life. Morris Johnson's analysis of friendship, love and sorrow is quite eyeopening. Though his talent for writing is evident, it is the realness of his art which makes this book so tangible. It is noted Mr. Johnson has since passed away, but his words will resonate with many for years to come.

France and the Cult of the Sacred Heart: An Epic Tale for Modern Times (Studies on the History of Society and Culture)

Author: Raymond Anthony Jonas

Well-written, fascinating book!
This is a thoughtful, intelligent, and well-researched book which should be required reading for anyone interested in the fascinating history of French Catholicism. There is much here for professional historians, interested amateurs, and anyone who has ever climbed the hill of Montmartre and pondered the immense church at its summit. Jonas, author of _Industry and Politics in Rural France: Peasants of the Isère, 1870-1914_, convincingly explores the history of the Sacred Heart devotion, the national feelings of guilt after the Franco-Prussian War, and elaborates upon an important aspect of the conservative politics of modern France. The work nicely complements the works of Ruth Harris, Thomas Kselman, Timothy Tackett, and Dale Van Kley. I recommend it very highly.

The Frank Lloyd Wright you don't know about
This book provides a new perspective on Wright -- who knew he designed a civic and arts complex for Baghdad, Iraq (it was never built)? Or that Fallingwater influenced the design of a wealthy suburb of Mexico City (El Pedregal)? If you think you're tired of Wright and all the Prairie Style images associated with him, read this book and get a fresh take.

A Classic
This book is the best introduction to the development of Frege's thought that I've read. Kenny covers each major work of Frege in detail with clear explanations of the argument and purpose of each work. There is a brief biographical sketch in the beginning and the book finishes with a summary of Frege's achievements.

A tear-jerker. A must-read for all ALL addicts!
Very touching and inspirational. A definite tear jerker. All addicts, recovering or not must read this book. Very realistically written. Possibly one of the readings needed to stop the self-destruction of our young people who think its exciting, fun and socially acceptable to use drugs, not knowing how addicting and addictive you can become.

From the Hands of a Child by Anthony Flores
Anthony Flores has created a delightful collection of craft activities for young children. The book is arranged so that each month there is a variety of creative designs using the child's handprints. I would encourage anyone who works with children between the ages of 2-10 to purchase this book. It is a wonderful resource to add to your collection, all the activities are cute and easy to recreate. The materials for each design are cheap and easy to obtain and the parents of the children will be delighted to receive the completed artwork using their own child's handprints! So purchase this book today and enjoy!
