Boundless energy
Anthony Lojac reached for the heavens in writing this book. It takes the reader through moments of heaven and hell; of being ingested, digested, and spit back out into reality. Moments of great energy remind me of the best comic book heroes' epic exploits and struggles. I'm looking forward to his next book. He has a lot to write about.
An original and exciting story.
This book is as graphic as Burroughs' Naked Lunch but even deeper and wider in scope. The story happens in a sequence of scenes switching from reality to surreal images and hallucinations. The author experiments with time, identity and point of view. I think the major theme is love, but it is also all about religion, cosmology, science and art. Anyway, I was never bored.

Be still...
This practical heartfelt book is full of relevant scriptures and useful exercises. Dr. Fischetto has been transformed, and therefore he is able to share personal experiences in a well written organized easy to read format. The subject of this book, quiet meditation and listening to God,is based on Ps. 46:10 "Be still and know that I am God". Meditation is so healing, but often ignored in western religion. This is a great book for starting on the path of meditation and spiritual relationship.
TRANSFORMED: INTIMACY WITH GOD--FISCHETTO
Enchanted and enthralled, reading Dr. Fischetto's book marked the beginning of a spiritual stroll down a panoramic path. Laden with personal experiences and sprinkled with wit and wisdom, the author emphasizes the need to be still in order to know God solely and entirely. Gently, he guides and encourages us to do as Jesus did by taking time to quiet ourselves and avail ourselves of God's embrace. Immediately, I felt the physical rewards of the commune with God. I was noticeably calmer, less stressed. Emotionally and spiritually, I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and a true forgiveness. The enlightened suggestions in the book have been tools I have needed to better know my Savior and through this I have become truly TRANSFORMED.

(Planeta.com Journal) - We've waited several years for the publication of this excellent guidebook. Dominic has been a frequent contributor to Planeta.com. Who better to pass along choice tips for travelers eyeing the South American country of Venezuela? Maps and a thorough index are a big plus. Lavish color photos by Anthony Cassidy compliment the text. This is your guide to Angel Falls, Margarita Island and the magnificent tepuis. The book also provides an in-depth look at what makes the capital of Caracas just an interesting city. Highly recommended!
A marvelously inviting take-along companion
From the world's highest waterfall to Venezuela's beach coastline and mountain scenery, Traveler's Venezuela Companion blends maps, practical information and an A-Z index to make it easy for destination-bound travelers to learn about Venezuela's many travel opportunities. Add color photos throughout and you have a marvelously inviting take-along companion.

all hits, all the time
Damn, I love this book more every time I read it. Complex writing, post-millenial in scope and in language. I can only imagine where Gancarski will go from here....
Insightful work
Gancarski's book came highly recommended to me, and I opened it with a certain skepticism; after all, the stories of his utter debauchery are legend throughout the Washington area. Nonetheless, I found that The Ganc approached his subject matter with the blistering prose and searing insight of Henry Miller. There are times, however, when he gets beyond irony, hipness, and love of language to write pieces that are at once powerful and beguiling.

Absolutely Delightful
This is the sort of book that somehow gives you an instant vacation to another time and place when you sit down with it. I am basing an art show somewhat loosely on the concept of being an artist-discoverer in a new land as a result of having spent time with this book. I found it to be truly inspiring!
Voyages of Discovery
We just got this delievered today. What a BEAUTIFUL book! I worked in a used bookstore for four years and have seen a lot of art and photography "coffee table" type books. I have seen few that can rival this for exquisite illustrations. If you or anyone you know has an interest in science history, exploration, biological sciences, or art, this book is a must have. Great diversity of flora and fauna depicted. A breathtaking combination of text and illustration. I originally purchased this for my two oldest boys (ages 13 & 12) for Xmas, but they will need to wait in line until I am done reading and looking at it. This is a wonderful book well worth the price.

Excellent for research, not something to curl up with...
This book is an excellent resource if you're looking to do any type of research, it would also be perfect to use as a ready reference tool for identiying certain species, but it is written in a dictionary type of style so it is not an incredible easy read.
You can enjoy the primates world with this book!
Before I got this book, I didn't know about pramates at all. Because I didn't have much interest to primates. And now I'm interested in primates, and want to know more. On this book, there're many photos and stories about primates. You can enjoy primates world with this book.

A brief, well balanced guide for high school students.
An excellent introduction to the war we don't talk about, providing an overview, biographies of principal characters, reprints of important historical documents, and an annotated bibliography. In an age when most history is learned through movies (and WWII seems more "real" than Vietnam)the student with a real desire to understand the Vietnam conflict couldn't find a better place to start.
Very informative and superbly written.
Dr. Edmonds displays a vast knowledge of the Vietnam War both in the classroom and in print. He is excited about this topic and what he teaches. His theories are based on fact, not fiction, and are well supported. The book displays this knowledge. He talks about cause and effect relationships, propaganda, the history of Vietnam, and the people. He talks about their customs, culture, and how they relate to other nations. It is well-written and easy to understand. The content is well explained, easy to follow, and connective. Everyone who shows an interest in the Vietnam War should read this book. If possible, talk to the professor himself as well. The knowledge one gains from him, however well-educated, will surprise you.

Pay attention to this man's writings!
Anthony DeMello actually was able to bring eastern mysticism and methods of meditation, into the Vatican and teach it to the jesuits! If you know anything about catholic hirarchy, that is quiet a feet. But once you read this, one of my favorots, or other books by Fr. DeMello you'll see that what he says and teaches is so pure, innocent, true, relevant, and REAL, that you see why he recieved such a wide audiance. I loved working the exercises in his book. Not from a Catholic point of view, but from a Meditatiors position. I read his books often when I need to refocus. Enjoy :-)
Find Peace in Troubled Times
Anthony DeMello is superb in his manor of helping the reader find the lost, confused and at times sad individual and transporting him or her to a place of peace and tranquility. Wellsprings offers many short medition exercises. I really enjoy the contempletive peacefulness that is awakened with each essay that is SLOWLY read and concentrated upon. I take with me everywhere I go. Even though I have only owned it for a short time, it has the appearence of being decades old. I really have made it looked LOVED. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have and still do
