Benito's Bizcochitos is a story that conveys warmth, personal history and tradition. While it contains adventure, it does so with a veil of magical safety. It is a refreshing change from the all too often violence ridden and scary material available for even the youngest of children.

This book is highly recommended for engaging children in a discussion of their own culture, the traditions of other cultures, and/or their personal family histories. The story is delightfully illustrated and is further enhanced by the interactive tool of a hands on baking activity.

To those of you thinking, concerned or debating the end of times, this book will give you the insight you need to reveal the truth quickly. This book is fast paced, exciting and EXTREEMLY EASY TO READ. The truth is the word of God. Tony has done his homework. I found his book to be uplifting and hope filled. You will to if Jesus Christ is your savior. However if he's not, you especially need to find out what God has in store for you. This book does NOT REPLACE the Bible; it is however a wonderful companion that will shed new light on the Bibles often confusing prophesies. In all fairness to you the potential reader, I did personally find one thing mentioned in this book that did not have any reference to the scriptures Therefore I give his book a 98% out a possible 100%. If you don't attempt to find God after this book you never will. THIS BOOK IS A MUST READ....for everyone.....!

I lived in Moscow for some of the time Anthony photographed there. I saw his exhibit in New York. And I, too, am a photographer. His images capture the time and place beautifully. He makes the ordinary into something special. The prints he made were stunning. I saw the book that day and knew I would get home to Puerto Rico and order it from Amazon

Big Anthony is a great character. He has the "want to" but lacks the necessary skills. However, his efforts at accomplishing magic feats will delight any child and adult. Big Anthony is one of my favorite Tomie de Paolo characters and this book is a great one.

It's a very good book, since it has enumerous diagrams which make you understand & imagine the biochemical processes better. It can be used in conjunction with the recommended textbook. However, it does not have Pre-test questions.

When I was little I'd checked this book out of the library so many times my mom eventually bought me my own copy. I loved it so much, in fact, that I learned to read on this book! The games the kids play may be not socially acceptable anymore (cowboys & indians, cops & robbers), but they accurately capture the era in which the book was written and certainly pale compared to the book's payoff. A must-have!

Comprehensive overview of social sciences and social theory. Easy to read introduction, and I've found it really helpful for work on postmodernism and cultural studies.
