Good book to hold dollar coins
Whitman Coin Folders, the industry standard in coin housing, offers another solid coin folder designed to house Eisenhower Dollars from 1971-1978 and Susan B. Anthony Dollars from 1979-1981. Be warned, that the book does not include the latest information on the 1999 release of the Anthony dollars, however, there is space in the book to write them in.

Okay, but not great
Not a bad text. It is well-written and clear, but lacks depth. Slightly oversimplified. There is not a sufficient variety of problems. I taught from this text and found that I had to supplement it with my own information.

Informative & entertaining.
I used information from this book to lead a group counseling session on stress management. I found it very helpful. There were many practical ideas & activities for dealing with stress & the emotional problems it causes. It's also easy to read & understand.

No new insight, but a good reference
This book has no new insight; no special slant or interests other than the fact that the people sited were in exile from the 1930's, to today. There is nothing wrong with this book. Yet there is nothing to make it stand out from the crowd. Some of the people include Albert Einstein, Thomas Mann and Otto Preminger.

Badly in need of editing
I dictated substantial portions of this casebook onto cassette for a blind law student through a program maintained by the University of Denver. This caused me to pay close attention to what I was reading. Although the book is comprehensive and well-written, it has been poorly edited in terms of grammatical errors and other blatant typographical mistakes that should have been caught before publication. The book is full of such errors, including HTML tags that were never edited out, incomplete or run-on sentences, and sentences that just don't make sense gramatically. Let us hope that the Third Edition will receive better scrutiny from a copy editor.

Good supplement
We found Fodor's Exploring Egypt to be full of pretty pictures and good history, but a bit short on practical information. Specifically, the information on various sites and events was incomplete (hours would be omitted, no helpful hints provided, etc.)
The Lonely Planet Guide is a much better resource. It really contained everything we needed to know during our week there, and we'd recommend that guide over this one if you only get one. Exploring Egypt does have many more pictures, however, and can help you get a feel for what you want to see, so we recommend it as a second resource.

Cuban heroine vs. English Pirate
For the most part, I enjoyed this historical adventure romance, but I rated it a 3 because the story seemed rather contrived, the plot having the typical formula found in many romance novels. A lovely Spanish girl on the island of Cuba, which is governed by her father, is tired of being overprotected. Her feisty, defiant behavior induces her to sneak out at night to meet a man, but one night she is caught in the middle of a clash between English pirates who have invaded the town and the townspeople who are fighting them off. She is captured by the pirates and carted off as a hostage. Rightly so, she defies and disrespects the pirate captain and his men for their thieving and killing, though the captain keeps her protected in his own cabin, never touching her. Eventually she falls in love with this tough character, who otherwise seems to have a heart of gold! I didn't like this contradiction in his personality, and neither did I like the extreme shift in attitude of the young woman. At first she valiantly defies him, then breaking down in the typical female weakness of many romance novels, can't resist him. I knew that this was going to happen, but in spite of this predictability, it had its adventuresome, entertaining moments, especially when the pirates invaded Cuba.
