We must learn to Dance! - To many different songs
Seven years of research and self-exploring resulted in the book 'A Voyage in Consciousness.' A.J. McGettigan, a 41 year-old author grew up in Pennsylvania, but moved to California soon after his 18th birthday. He needed to get away to explore many things inside himself and now was the time to learn how to dance. To dance to many different songs as we will have to learn to deal with many different people in different relationships.

The book focuses on how we must be aware of our inner feelings and consciousness before we can 'mingle' with other people to create relationships. McGettigan tells us about scarcity consciousness and abundance consciousness and these concepts are the keywords through the book.

My favorite chapter was 'Dancing to the many songs.' It was in this chapter my consciousness awoke and made me think about the importance of my own consciousness in proportion to those I'm closest to. If you meet a person you fall in love with or get a new job there will always be something new to explore and learn. It can take months - even years - to get the steps right to the rhythm of the song.

This book is a very interesting read both for young adults and those older adults who are still in search for their inner self. It's never too late to learn how to dance to a new song.

Wall Street and the Rise of Hitler
Published in Paperback by Bloomfield Books (01 December, 1976)
Author: Anthony Cyril Sutton
Amazon base price: $
Average review score:

Very deep, complete and an eye opener.
This book is very detailed. So much so that it is easy to get lost in the facts. However, the detail is needed to support the subject.

Mr. Sutton leaves the reader very angry with the "powers to be" for sacrificing the lives of so many in WWII for the sake of money. The reader discovers most of the horrors of this war could have been avoided.

He makes the danger of the Council of Foreign Relations more real.

This is a must read for everyone, especially if you are a believer in the Constitution of the U.S.

Be sure to read Appendix A.

Tony Dalton sets the record straight with his new bio.
I have been in contact with Anthony Dalton over the last couple of years while he was writing this biography of Tristan Jones...Some believe every word he writes in his books, some who knew him doubt many of the stories he wrote. Finally, Tony Dalton has traveled all over the world collecting the facts. He has documented the cold truth in this extraordinary researched biography. I must admit that his conclusions are not the ones I wished for, but the truth is very often hard to accept. I have corresponded with many people who knew Tristan personally, and many have told me that what Tony recorded in his new book is true. Regardless, if you want to read some wonderful stories, read some of Tristan Jones books. Fact or fiction, I loved every one.

A well documented guide for comprehension of data.
This is a very good guide to gain a global view of each theme treated with rigor to sharpen the understanding of the subject. The questions for further consideration should have a model answer to consolidate the aim of provoking the correct intended thoughts about historical problems unless you want to limit yourself to an educated opinion. The reader would also benefit with answers from the themes and questions raised concerning specific documents.

The Whole Truth in Tithes-Don't Be Tithed Around
Published in Paperback by Vantage Press (August, 1998)
Author: Anthony J. Vance
Amazon base price: $8.95
Average review score:

Simple, to the point, easy to read and full of grace.
I enjoyed reading this book on the tithe. It involves a very simplistic, biblical examination of the tithe and is well presented. I consider it more of a summary, but that is what makes this book enjoyable to read; it is to the point and gives the reader a clear picture of the key points of this uncommon perspective on tithing. It can also be read in one sitting and its brevity helps to fasten the learned points to memory much easier.

I especially appreciated the fact that this book is non-critical and is careful to present the validity and importance of giving. Readers are encouraged to examine and study the Word of God for themselves and seek proper application of the truth to their lives, especially to embrace true, biblical, Christian giving practice. Some very valid points are discussed and this would be a good book to present to a pastor for honest discussion.

The only reason I gave the book 4 stars, rather than 5, is because there were a few theological points I personally found trouble agreeing with and I feel there probably could have been a little more depth to some of the Scriptural investigation in some areas of the book, however, I believe the book serves its purpose; to raise some legitimate questions regarding the common, modern-day practice of tithing and challenges this modern view according to God's Word.

Overall: very enjoyable reading, well presented, inspiring, encouraging and thought provoking. As a plus, this book is not negative or critical towards pastors or tithe-believing Christians and comes across as very sincere and gracefull as well as uncompromisingly challenging. Would recommend to anyone investigating biblical perspectives on tithing.

Elephants DO have good memories
Elephant tails can be 5 feet long, African elephants can be 13 feet high and Asian elephants can weigh 12,000 pounds. These are just a few of the many fascinating facts children will learn by reading this book. Children may know that elephants do have good memories, but they might not have known that elephants walk on tiptoes, flap their big ears to keep cool, and that their trunks can reach higher than a giraffe. Wonderful photographs accompany the interesting text.

Comprehensive, Humoristic, and Entertaining
I thought Writing for Visual Media was very informative, and easy to understand. At first I got intimidated by the many words the book contains, I usually like to see more pictures and visual examples in the books I read, but the entire book is very informative and has a nice flow, with a nice touch of humoristic remarks. I've never seen a CD-ROM for a textbook, with so many visual elements. I spent about an hour and a half navigating through it. I kept finding more and more stuff to see and read. I thought the CD-ROM was very creative, and indeed entertaining. I like the idea of the book linking to specific chapters in the cd-rom. The book is great for people like me who are just starting to begin writing for the Media. I probably wouldn't recommended for semi-pro's who already know most of the writing techniques, and know what a video camera tilt and pan is!.
There's actually a lot of funny video clips in the CD-ROM, which makes it very compelling for learning purposes. In the beginning the CD-ROM loads slowly because the contents of it are stuffed like a turkey with multimedia content. But I do like the fact that there are tons of multimedia content which helps to understand "visually" what writing for the media is all about.

XSI Illuminated : Foundation
Published in Paperback by Elfin Cove Pr (20 September, 2000)
Authors: Anthony Rossano, Brian Demong, and Shinsaku Arima
Amazon base price: $24.95
Average review score:

Great for Beginners
Softimage XSI 2.0 is a good program, but its Help menu needs help. For beginners trying to learn about this program is hard because it doesn't teach a person to do basic things like rotate, pan, zoom, and other functions. This books is thin (229 pages), but it's packed with informations like moving objects around (rotate, zoom, pan, etc.), polygon modeling like (a plate and a jellyfish), path animation, hierarchy groupings, deformations, layers, lighting and renderings. The disadvantage of this book is that it doesn't have any color pictures. For example, the example picture showing lighting and shading is only in black and white. Second, there aren't many print screen pictures that show which menu or control panel the author is talking about. Also some of the arrows showing the hierarchy of items are very blurry. Don't forget to buy the second book (XSI Illuminated: Character Animation). Overall, I would highly recommend this book for beginners to start learning about XSI.

Year round activities for three year old children
I found this book unique from other preschool curriculum books. The first way it differs is that rather than being set up by theme, it is divided by abilities. This has much to do with the book being so age specific. The second difference is in the set up of the book. An explanation of the abilities of a three year old is followed by a series of recipe cards (my own interpretation). Each activity is neatly and succinctly described in a box with important little facts like how many children are appropriate for the activity. I might have given the book a higher star rating but since I am a mom trying to compliment my sons part time schooling rather than developing my own curriculum, I prefer the theme based books to tie into his school's curriculum. I think this book would definately appeal more to the person designing unique curriculums based on the needs of a specific class.
