Great Backpacking Book
For the last decade or more, I have lugged one or two flower books along on backpacking trips in the Sierras, slowly learning to identify the gorgeous and the not-so-gorgeous plants that live in the Mountains of Light. I have come to appreciate several qualities in a field guide: clear photographs that capture the essential character of the plant; brief and clear descriptions that give not only common names and clues for identification but also information on the plant's preferred location and season and an interesting fact or two; clear organization to help me locate flowers that are old friends as well as new ones; and, most important, light in weight! This book scores high on all criteria. It's only rival so far is WILDFLOWERS 3: THE SIERRA NEVADA by Elizabeth Horn.

Fantastic!!
This is such a wonderful book on him. It gives a lot of info on him and a better perspective on who he is. It makes you realize that he is just a normal person like everyone else. A lot of books have tried to do this. Some do a great job...but not like this book. If u are an avid Prince William fan or if you just wanna know more about him....this is definitely the book for you.

Breathtaking, crystal clear documentation
I have checked this book out at the library looking for 'GOOD' photos of some of the older homes and the resconstructed homes from the 1700's. The photos are absolutely breathtakingly crystal, clear, show wonderful asthetic views, and give a simple and linear time frame of ownership and construction/demolition, reconstruction of many of the homes in the Williamsburg area. This book is worth every penny if you buy it for research and historical purposes. Of all the books on Williamsburg that I have ever read (dozens and dozens), this one is the most excellent!

A classic by the master
This comic book, originally in Dutch, is one of the finest ever made by Willy Vandersteen. A classic here in the Netherlands and Belgium and hopefully in the US too. Pre-school reading is not the excact phrase to describe the contents of this book. A lot of Willy and Wanda fans are well beyond their teens, as am I and I enjoy(ed) this book very much. I have the complete Willy and Wanda (Suske en Wiske) collection in my bookcase (about 200 books)and this one is absolutely one of my favorites.

Delightful, charming, wry, humorous. Magic for all ages.
As a hard-core sci-fi reader I refuse to read Sword and Sourcery novels. But this little book has opened my eyes. Full of likable, fun characters that you can identify with, this book leads you on quests and through mysteries. You will meet witches, dragons, kings and princes and, of course, cats!

Unfortunately all 8 of Mr. Gray's books are out of print. I have ordered the other (7) through Amazon, but in the meantime, I would happily swap this book for any other of Mr. Gray's. The swap can be permanent or temporary, as you like. Thank you. -John

This is a wonderful collection from published and unknown poets about work, good and bad. I take it with me to factories and read it in hotels. These are all "blood" poems. A treasure.

One of the best books about the cutie bichon frise! :)
This book very clearly explains how to care for a Bichon Frise (b.c.) and its personality. How it handles being around other animals is another thing this book informed me of. After reading this book i knew is exactly what to look for in a b.c. puppy and i am proud to say that because of this book i was able to pick out the best b.c. puppy that anyone could've picked. This book is well worth the money, and i would have glady spent twice as much on it. Anyone who ever reads his book will truely understand the great qualities of the b.c., and most likely be convinced into getting one.
