Merciless women defeat the men brilliantly.
Russia has become a land dominated by lawless corruption and violent criminal syndicates. None of these are more powerful or viscous than an underworld family known as the Knives, who together with a band of assassins from the Middle East, set out to create a global empire of terror.
To counter the menace, an elite team of commandos is sent to hunt down and destroy the threat before it's too late. In one thrilling encounter after another, the adversaries show no mercy, but nothing in either side's arsenal of weaponry can match the lethal cunning or ferociousness possessed by their female saboteurs. Like queens on a chessboard, they stop at nothing to outmaneuver and eliminate their rivals in order to achieve a checkmate, which will forever change the world's balance of power.
If you are an admirer of "femme fatale" stories, it is a must.
When a dangerous woman brilliantly defeats or kills a man, I get
really shivering, and the writer makes you feel so, since the female characters in the book are so merciless. For example :
** Once he was finished off, Inga placed her right foot on top of the kneeling victim's shoulders for extra leverage, and began to pry the blade out of his body. **
** His mouth gaped open in surprise when he turned around and found Natasha's icy glare at the end of a pistol pointed between his eyes. **
** Before he could pivot and fire, her knife went straight into his heart. **
Don't miss, read it...

A picture book of motorcycles.
Like a kids book about motorcycles but with more technical information. The art work and pictures of modern motorcycles alone make this book worth the modest price!
The Movement for Housing Reform in Germany and France, 1840-1914

a valuable study, but it lacks of breath
This study still deserves reading even 20 years after its publication. It is a well written, very well documented analysis, with many illustrations, which has few equivalents even now. France and Germany are studied separately, and the general plan is quite analytic, not very original. The reader will also find many useful and suggestive remarks comparing the situation of these countries with english situation. An authoritative book, which will give a mine of informations and should so stay on the list of people interested by history of housing for many years. However the readers who look for exciting focus of analysis might be deceived. Many pages are concerned with the discussions of reformer, may be too much, what gives a picture quite technical and deprived of any sociological imagination. It lacks some breath even if there are chapters with insightful remarks on architectural evolutions of dwellings. Evolutions of private/public spheres, popular ways of living are not really discussed.
A good introduction (even a very good one), which gives detailed accounts of housing reform and informs on the historical context (notably economic, scientific and architectural), but readers eager of suggestive propositions will complement this by other readings. After all, this might well correspond to what the book was intended for.

Good for a start on detailing...
After having wandered through it a bit, this software seems to provide a good starting point for detailing. The interface is quite easy to use, and provides enough choices to make the results fairly accurate. The details that are provided form a good skeleton for devising more appropriate ones (if necessary). The only problem is that the details are completely exploded, so changing them can be tedious (i.e. altering dimensions or hatches), and depending on your office standards, there's a lot of layer work that may be done to get pen assignments and all of that done. So, at first glance it looks like a good tool for a starting point, and to provide 'place holders' for the information that's needed on the details... plus... easy to use and the graphical interface is nice.

A Magical Visit to the Library
Nicholas and his mother visit the library on a rainy afternoon. Far from thrilled to be there, Nicholas spends his time stacking books in the children section to build a fort, only to be confronted by a small monkey hiding in the "O" section! After consulting the head librarian, Nicholas enters into an magical adventure with the librarian. The two, along with the monkey, jump from storybook to storybook as they attempt to locate which book in the library the monkey came from! If they don't locate the book in time, the monkey may become lost forever...
This book is sure to charm both adults and young readers, as it reminds us all of the magic that waits between the covers of books in the library! The pictures compliment the story well!
Nicholas II

An almost thorough account of Russia's last tsar.
Warth titles this work "The Life and Reign of Russia's Last Monarch." But it must truly be noted that not a great deal of substance is given to Nicholas II's early life, prior to ascending the throne. Chapter one devotes little time to exploring the early life of Nicholas II. The rest of the book seemed very comprehensive, especially regarding the subject of the Russo-Japanese war. The Stolypin era was also fitting of an entire chapter dedicated to it. Although, I would have liked to have more detail on Rasputin and the role that his association may have ultimately played with the tsar's downfall, it was overall a well written biography of Russia's last tsar. If anything a human side of Nicholas is shown, even if that human side is riddled with stubborness and general distrust in the majority of his advisors.

Poems for kids from 1 - 100 years old.
This is one of those books that come along once in a blue moon. It is filled with wonderful poems, full of humor, sensitivity, compassion, love and definitely exciting. "You have your Father's Eyes" is great fun and guaranteed to bring a laugh from anyone who hears it. This book is especially fun for Grandparents to read to their grandchildren. Don't know why it is out of print, but they should re-publish it.

But the story is interesting, probably better suited for 6 to 10 year-olds. I'm sure that Leonardo da Vinci isn't the easiest topic to write about, especially for an audience of children, so the author earns extra points there.
