This book helps you lose the guilt of not growing spiritually the way someone else thinks you should. It invites you to learn about your personality and how your personality guides the way you learn and grow. It also helps you understand why some people are hard for you to deal with because they have a different personality type. Easy for anyone to read and understand.

A fast-paced, fun read for spy/thriller fans1
I enjoyed this book. Well plotted, a great story line and interesting charachters made for a very fun read that kept me up late to see what would happen next. Gives the word "gardening" a whole new meaning! (I can't divulge what--read it and see for yourself!)

Tightrope Walker
I found this book exceptionally well done, since "Malcolm Bell," a "former government employee," has successfully walked the tightrope between being true to the intelligence biz, on the one hand, and writing an exciting story, on the other. Nearly all popular espionage fiction is laughable to anyone who has been in the business, but Bell has captured the true atmosphere without resorting to preposterous inventions. He also draws characters that we actually CARE about, which makes for sleepless nights. I had read this book when it was first published, then came across it and started, in an idle moment, reading it over again. It is as captivating the second time as it was the first, and I can think of no better test of an author's skill. Hopefully, "Mr. Bell" will give us more; I, for one, will be lined up with a fistful of dollars.

Last Wishes
Found this book to be not only educational but also in a format easily understood. I purchased several copies for my family and friends.

Last Wishes Book Is Very Helpful
I purchased a copy of this book for my elderly mother who has been talking about planning ahead for her own funeral. This book is loaded with information about funerals and funeral homes, many things that we were unfamiliar with. In particular, she liked the detailed appendix with all those biblical phrases and the facts about different flowers. I liked the forms in the back of the book that helped her to become organized and share information with me, that I never would have known about. An excellent resource for anybody who wants to preplan a funeral themselves.

Ludwig Wittgenstein: A Memoir

Vividly told and personalized dedication
It's like a painting of an era of truthful experience of life and friendship, between Norman Malcolm, the author and Ludwig Wittgenstein, the philosopher, where honest intellect fulfilled the most part of it. Being a respectful philosopher, a deadly serious lecturer, mostly, an intellect vigorously searching for truth and nothing else, Ludwig Wittgenstein is certainly living vividly through out this memoire.

The Philosophical Personality
Malcolm's memoir, written as a straightforward account of his relationship with Wittgenstein over a number of years, vividly brings to life the odd charisma of the philosopher. It is easy to see, just from Malcolm's account, how Wittgenstein's personality influenced or overwhelmed people around him. Malcolm himself seems to have avoided a full dose of the spell, and simply accepted Wittgenstein as he was, which makes him a superior memoirist. (Furthermore, Malcolm was scrupulious enough that, upon reading his memior, I guessed from it that Wittgenstein was gay, long before I read any of the more heavy-handed books that claim new revelations about the philosopher. It was all already there for them to see, if they would just look at it.) Malcolm's accounts of conversations with Wittgenstein, and even more so the selection of letters included at the end of the volume, amply display the philosopher's character, as well as revealing his rather dry and odd wit and ability to produce aphoristic phrases of great, and sometimes comic, insight. I would strongly recommend giving it to a student who has taken a semester or two of philosophy; even though it won't tell him much about the content of Wittgenstein's actual philosophy, it does provide a serious, and fascinating, example of a way to approach philosophy, and makes the subject seem like it can be an exciting and live quest.

Many Perspectives on A Changing Man
Based on the acclaimed PBS documentary, this photographic biography of the controversial African American leader combines evocative photographs with poignant memories from friends, family members, admirers and a few critics. This multifaceted examination of the militant leader's turbulent life helped me understand his rage and power. If you read his autobiography, then you will find this book especially valuable. An excellent supplement to the documentary because it includes material that they had to exclude, due to time limitations, from the documentary.

Byline correction
I can't seem to find an address to which this information should be directed, so here it is: This title should be listed as 'Text by William Strickland, Oral Histories selected and edited by Cheryll Y. Greene' (that's me). That's the way the credits are listed on the front cover, title page, with the Library of Congress, etc. Please correct your search function to include this information. Sometimes people still look for the book using my name. Thank you. (I had to fill in the star rating above in order to send this to you. Please disregard.)

Great for Impressionable Kids.
I remember reading this book when I was about 7, and thus began a phase in which I religiously followed it's every word. It's a novel idea - from a complete outline of a witch's typical pantry, to a section of spells, a self-oracle, "gross" recipies, practical jokes. . . fun, innocent stuff for dumb kids to do, but with a touch of macabre humor. I loved it. . .even if it did warp my brain.

Great book
This is a great book. It is especially great on Halloween!I got this book out from the library once, and I liked it so much it was over-due.

Great insight to his work
This novel , more like a autobiography is great because in it he tells of certain unforgetable conversations and ideas that his mind has come up with. It just makes me want to read more of his work because now i know how he gets some of his ideas and the process he goes through in creating a grea novel. Although the notes are written in a form that is different then usual , they are great to read. I recomend it.

A book of wise sayings
This book...a rather large one...is wonderful and incredibly special since it is a peek into Camus' thoughts. He wrote everything down, afraid he would not remember his thoughts. This book is especially interesting since it has some powerful sayings in it...if you are searching for a good quote to write an essay about, I recommend this book.

NHL Fans will enjoy!
All NHL fans will enjoy this book! It is a great collection of NHL history with many photographs and wonderful stories. It also has lists of trophy winners, record holders, and is a great source book for any hockey trivia you might wish to know.

It encompasses everything historically related to the NHL, along with other moments of hockey greatness.

As a devoted fan of the NHL myself, I felt it was a must-have in my library. The photographs show the evolution of the sport, and the stories bring you back to moments of historical significance to the game.

Every famous and infamous hockey player is profiled in this book from Maurice Richard and Gordie Howe, to Bobby Orr and Wayne Gretzky.... Even the illusive only woman to have ever played on an NHL team, Manon Rheaume.

If you love hockey, you will love this book. I do!

Everything you wanted to know about the NFL and then some!
I really enjoyed seeing this book on Amazon - it's very exciting! Good luck hockey fans!
