A waste of money
I ordered this a while back...I was sad to see that alot of subject areas where lacking...I was glad that I studied my notes instead...I really didnt find anything in this book that would have helped me pass my board exam...I am sad that I wasted my money on it. The author has the write ideas but is way off the mark when it comes to what is on the Physical therapist Assistant Board Exam.

Sincerely, A physical therapist Assistant

Sick & Tired of Being a Minister's Wife

Waste of time
I originally purchased this book because the title caught my eye. I thought she couldn't really be sick and tired of being a ministers wife, but she really was.

It appears that Shirley has experienced a very negative side of being married to a minister. She doesn't say how long she has been married or during what time she experienced rejection from church members and other "prestigious" people. Maybe many years ago ministers wives were treated as second class, but today minister wives have taken a seat in first class, right next to their husband's where they should be.

Although I feel very sorry for her experiences, I know that this does not happen to all ministers wives. I have personally spent time with great ministers who treat their wives as the precious jewels they are and would never mistreat them nor allow anyone else to mistreat them. These ministers are treated with great respect and their wives are treated just the same. How could you say you love your Pastor but treat your First Lady as though she does not matter? How could a Pastor allow this nonsense to happen in the first place?

I don't fault the church or others for the way they treated Mrs. Wise, but people only do what they are allowed to get away with. If your husband does not set the boundaries/rules than people, including church folks, will do whatever they want.

I really don't see the value of this book. I gained no knowledge from this book. It should have remained recorded in her personal diary.

Early work shows some promise, but...
This early Shirley work (possibly his first novel?) is amateurish and immature, with some hints here and there of the talent that later produced some of the best cyberpunk and horror fiction around. Not to get too far into it, early on the earth loses it's gravitational field, and many people are killed or starve to death while floating around loose. The rest go on to create some sort of utopia, though not really an ideal one. The book gets rather preachy in a naive socialistic sort of way, and barely escapes being laughable in its romanticism. I can't recommend buying it unless you just have to fill out your collection.
