I applaud Bollock's output here in this, her sadly out-of-print number. If you have any chance of laying your hands on Bollock's books, I implore you to do so. The books are first rate. When it comes to love and graduation novellas, Dickens's are OK, Elliot's are fine, but Bollock's are always best.

Great book, not only for kids with glasses, but any child. Easy to read outloud, and lots of clever ideas.

Must have for any parent!

I bought this book for my nephew on his 5th birthday. He is very interested in trucks, cars and vehicles of all kinds, and has a keen interest in exactly how things work. He was really excited about this book and especially enjoyed manipulating the puzzle pieces. This is great educational toy.

This is one of the most compact and sensible gardening books you will ever find. Shirley Conran mamages to be encouraging about projects and plans which will actually work. She also takes the guilt away and stops you feeling like a failure if you can't grow the plants others seem to tend so easily. Sample advice- "African violets grow best in Africa." It was this book which finally convinced me that the average pot plant costs no more than a bunch of flowers, so it is not worth getting stressed if the plant looks sick after six or so weeks. After reading The Magic Garden you will never again try to nurture recalcitrant plants; just throw them out and buy a fresh one!

Maryland trivia compiler Shirley Menendez and others have performed a very worthwhile service with this excellent book. It encompasses a broad spectrum of topics. You will be amazed by some obscure facts you never knew existed.
The history chapter of this book by accident omits a significant event in the history of Baltimore. My great-grandfather was a German immigrant named Boston Fear. He created Walbrook: Baltimore's very first suburb. Walbrook was originally named Fearville in honor of Boston Fear. The movie industry's very first superstar, Francis X. Bushman, was given his very first job in life by Boston Fear.
Few books have ever been written pertaining to the subject of Maryland trivia. I highly suggest you own a copy of this book!

GREAT Book!! This Speak louder than words!!

This book is very well done. It has a charming tale of a kitten named Mike. On Christmas Eve Mike curiosly walks into Santa's bag. And ends up at the North Pole. I highly recomend this book.

Makes one take time to think about our ties to the universe and other people. It is amazing that the worlds scholars express that there is a plan, life is not just by chance. After reading the wisdom of these quotes, you have a far better chance of knowing yourself.
