A very accurate and informative history of the prisoners
I have heard only brief excerpts about my and my family's interment in the Japanese concentration camp during World War II. I found this book to bring to life the stories I've heard and re-awakened the memories I have. There is a dearth of information about the devastation of the Netherlands by the Germans but this is the only book I know of which tells about the imprisonment of the Dutch in Indonesia. It should be more readily available. A US reader will find the language usage a little strange but that is because it was written by an Autralian. Nevertheless, it is a well written documentar. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who want to know about us, "The Forgotten Ones".

Award winning, profusely illustrated biography of scandalous
Written for young people. grades 4-8, this is an interesting biography for Frances Hodgson Burnett fans of all ages. She was the Danielle Steel of her day, crossing the Atlantic 33 times. Her comings, goings, and divorces made front-page news in The New York Times and in other newspapers. This biography, which School Lihrary Journal says "reads like a good novel," offers many quotations from Frances and her friends, plus photos and illustrations from her books and plays. Highly recommended for the beginning esoteric seeker.
This book is well written and concise. Annie Besant was a noted orator of the late Victorian age. A high level overview of the concepts of the esoteric worldview are presented clearly through the use of analogy and direct language. The book covers the areas of purification, thought control, the building of character, spiritual alchemy, and the threshold of the Temple - the latter being of interest but little relevence to we mere mortals

Lost Art
I first looked at this book because I had some old paintings
that I found in antique shop. They were signed by women, but I
couldn't find anything about who they were. In this book, I
found not only the names, but personal information about the artists, what had been written about them during their lifetimes,
and some scholarly, but very clear and interesting commentary
about women who painted in Victorian times and what their lives
and careers were like. It turned out that one of my paintings
is fairly valuable (I went to an art dealer knowing what I had!) but after I found out about the artist I liked the painting even more and wouldn't part with it. So the book was cheap at the price, and now is an important part of my antique-hunting library.

delightful tale of the hidden wonders of nature
I truly loved Margaret Mahy's stories of magic in nature, collected here under the title The Girl With the Green Ear. She has the most wonderful descriptions of hidden wonders of the world, and her use of imagery is fabulous. The Girl With the Green Ear is just one of several short stories that show us that the world really is a fascinating place. In one story she writes how a young boy was bribed by a wicked queen with "a singing cricket in an ivory cage and a box of velvet in which sits a single dewdrop." I could read her stories forever, and they are perfect for any age.

CHRIST AND SOPHIA IN US
There is indeed a re-awakening of the female deity, mostly for me since 1975. This book may be a little difficult for some people, so look for the highlights of Sophia with Christ, our twin hopes of glory. The Twin-Saviors are explained in the book "Pistis Sophia", G.R.S. Mead, sayings taken from the books of the Savior. Rabbi Novick wrote about her as the Shechinah, Divine Mother as Chochmah (Wisdom) same meaning for Sophia . Jesus is indeed her "light twin, and spouse",as Stephan A. Hoeller writes. The re-awakening comes from Above, the Spirit, the Logos, the Savior, and the whole world must accept the Gnosis of this fact to find the "First Mystery" as Jesus explained in Pistis Sophia. The Front picture is beautiful of Sophia, and all the writers should be highly exalted for their efforts to bring the Gnosis of the Savior to the lost children in the world. Also, "She Who Is", Elizabeth Johnson, should be read alongside this book, with "Prayers to She Who Is , William Cleary, who wrote the most true words ever said about Sophia. Jesus and Sophia are Twins, male and female from the Pleroma. When Jesus spoke of the "Fall" of Sophia, he was also referring to his material life on earth, and his distress, thinking his sister Sophia was gone, and she was not, she was his own soul. By the prophets, this doctrine of Gnosis can be proven. This is a very valuable book to the world. Thanks to all the writers.

Excellent!
After reading her book and then listening to the audio tape as well...I must say I was transformed. I used her tape to guide my meditations, during which I had a vision of my sister in the hospital. I called home and found out my sister was in emergency surgery and had almost died. If we just open our mind, it's amazing what we can see.

Group Process Made Visable
At last, art therapy educators, students and practitioners have a comprehensive text on group art therapy that they can add to their personal libraries - and an excellent one at that. As an educator who has taught group art therapy for many years, I couldn't be happier. I have waited a long time for just such text to make my teaching easier. Not only does this book provide a good introduction to the advantages of using art in a group therapy context, but it also offers in-depth discussion and examples of how to utilize the art to the best therapeutic advantage for different age groups and different patient populations. Further, I can report that student art therapists of my acquaintance have also received this highly rewarding and very readable book with considerable enthusiasm. I have no qualms about recommending it to anyone who wishes either to teach others or to study the group art therapy process. (Sometimes, what one wishes for really does come true!)
