I found this book not only interesting but quite enjoyable.
Facinating view of history from a Jewish perspective.
I enjoyed reading this book. It was massively long, but never boring! In fact, I found myself staying up late just to get to the next chapter. I especially loved the way each family generation was covered from a real perspective. It's history was of Biblical proportions.

Everyone needs a lucky-giver!
I could not but help reading this book over night. As a teacher in junior high school in Taiwan, I am quite accoutomed to kids have the same problems as Abraham described in this exotic book. I am absorbed by his tremendous effort to overcome his hereditary setback and use his right brain hemisphere to achive great success in a society designed by and for the left brain people. And I learned an important lesson in this book, a word in time is really a great help to people around you. Without the encouraging words, Abraham might have given himself in his early life when he felt frustrated and embarrassed. After reading this book, I am deeply concerned that I can help my students with my words just like those wonderful guys in Abraham's life who gave him kind concern and help. And those concern and help turned out to be a blessing to a poor yound man and make him be someone. Gee, that's great.Everyone needs someone else to encourage him, and everyone can be someone else's lucky-giver.
Know first-hand what it's like to be dyslexic
This book is excellent. I couldn't put it down. It is refreshing but sad to see how a dyslexic person struggles through even the smallest tasks. Mr schmitt tells about his dyslexic life. He is the brilliant idiot--he holds several college degrees but can't tie his shoes and can't teach school. Anyone who knows someone with a learning disability will enjoy this book. It will bring a better understanding of what a learning disabled person has to overcome--and provides proof positive that it can be done! It is a truly sad but remarkable journey that Mr. Schmitt will take you on if you read this book. You will laugh and cry and your heart will break. But such a happly ending.

This should be every parent's textbook
John takes the reader through his step by step process of raising a child to be successful. Over their 25 years of raising disadvantaged and abused children John and his wife Tee have changed the lives of many children in a positive way. This book will give you the gameplan you need to raise your children to be Winners. This should be mandatory reading for every prospective parent.
An absolute must for all parents, care givers, teachers, etc.
I didn't know what to expect from the book. Once I started to read it I was amazed how much I had to learn. I always felt I was making the right choices in situations where my children were concerned. This book helped me realize many of my decisions were right but there was so much room for improvement. I just started a new career in teaching. I am in a classroom with severely emotionlly disturbed children. The section of the book about boundries and how important they are holds great meaning for me. These children want someone to care enough about them to make those hard disciplinary decisions. It takes time, patients, love, and the will to want to help create a caring, responsible human being. This is too often more than most parents feel they can give. This book could put them in the right direction. I hope parents in need will read!

An incredibly believable Lincoln Assasination theory.
Mr. King presents the next chapter in the exploits of the Assasin "Anderson," whom we met in "A Bullet for Stonewall." This is another extremely well researched book. Mr. King blends actual events and historic characters with his theory of the "real" reason behind President Lincoln's assasination. Incredibly, it makes more sense than the widely accepted version that was a product of the Assasination Conspiracy Trials. Mr. King spares no details in this book. His thorough research is evident in the inor details of the book, such as the pocket watch that "Anderson" looks at in a pawn shop. I was amazed to read about one of my own ancestors in the book. Mr. King's accounts of this man's actions were identical to docmented family research that I have on this individual. I found it incredible that Mr. King had gotten this information through public records of the conspiracy trial. For you history buffs who might view this book with scepticism, I think that you will be very satisfied with its quality. After reading it, you will begin to wonder if the widely accepted version of the assasination is actually true.
A Good Read
A Bullet for Lincoln is a sequel to a Bullet for Stonewall. It is a fast paced tale of one of the most famous Presidential assassinations in American history. Set in the dying days of the Civil War, the author vividly describes a plot by wealthy industrialists to murder Lincoln. Why? Well, you will have to read the book to find out. And it is a right good riveting read, full of plot twists and suprises. You may well find yourself wondering how much of the book is true (like in Oliver Stone's JFK). The book does have a lot of thoroughly researched historical facts. Mr. King is a very knowledgeable military historian who works for the US Army in the Peninsula area of Virginia

Forcefully illustrates the power, majesty, and danger
Deep Black: An Adventure Through The Black Canyon by travel and nature writer Robb Magley is both an extensively researched history and a thrilling saga of personal challenge. Magley recounts the history of Colorado's Black Canyon, a part of the Colorado country whose dangerous rapids were not conquered until 1901. In addition to thorough archival research, the author's own journey on foot through all thirty-three miles of a canyon that is steeper and narrower than the more famous Grand Canyon, the reader is deftly introduced to seventy-six river crossings, and informed of a brush with death that forcefully illustrates the power, majesty, and danger of this great natural resource and wonder.
Great Historical Travel Adventure !!!
Told from a refreshingly honest and unjaded viewpoint - unlike many adventure travel writers, this author does not try to impress us mere readers by mentioning other trips he may have taken in exotic foreign countries. The book explores Magley's relationship with the Black Canyon in Colorado and the research he undertakes to find out more about the first explorers there, but Magley takes the reader on many other side adventures - what do we (the paying public) really expect from National Parks? How does that differ from what our ancesters expected from the same area 200 years ago? And, what do the author and his friend do when exploring the river turns life threatening? This is a great read.

A book for life-application
Watchmann Nee takes the well-known yet elusive stories of these three men in Genesis and turns them into a palatable feast sampling the full Christian experience. Beginning with Abraham knowing God as the Father to the Israel fully matured and transformed, one is brought from the initial stage of God's calling through to the stage of maturity in the Christian life and as a functioning member of the corporate Body of Christ. His writing inspires thousands of Christians to endeavor to experience Christ in such a way, so that one grows deeper and deeper into God and with God.
A Christian life should be a balanced life:
Besides Watchman Nee's Normal Christian Life which is based on the book of Romans, this book gives us a vivid and living picture of a normal Christian life which is a balanced, overcoming, and God's ordained life, based on the story of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the book of Genesis. These three persons together characterize three main aspects of a normal Christian life - justified by faith, bestowed all the riches from the father, and transformed to be an over-comer by God's ordained way. The book is really helpful and encouraging in experiencing a balanced Christian life, in understanding God's ordained way, and in bearing cross to follow the Lord in an absolute way.

Kindness lessons in life, relationships, and spirituality.
I was delighted with this well written volume on how doing kindnesses for others can change your life. As both a Rabbi and psychiatrist, Twerski offers meaning and insight to life situations that may often be perceived as hopeless. Written in very breif stories, Rabbi Twerski reaches out to us with a certain knowledge that giving to others enhances our own lives because we receive when we give. I highly recommend this book, and I plan to use the lessons for discussions in my own practice of counseling.
Comments from authors of EARTH ANGELS (Biederman / Broadway)
This book is wonderful and important. Performing good deeds (or, as we like to put it, "being an Earth Angel") really can change your life ... and the world. We are the authors of EARTH ANGELS: True Stories About Real People Who Bring Heaven To Earth and we wholeheartedly recommend DO UNTO OTHERS.

Don't Enter The Dating World Until You Read This Book
I read this book after struggling in a string of secular based relationships. The author introduced the concept (which was new to me!) that I was worthy, that relationships needed Christ at its center, and that prayer in seeking His will is essential. WOW! After 2 years of putting this into practice, and after reading this and re-reading this book, I met the Christian man of my dreams. The Lord used Ken Abraham as a messenger to bring single Christians direction in dating according to His plan. I thank God for Ken and message. One part that really caught my eye pointed out that you should be praying for the person that would be coming into your life when God wanted him/her to, as this person might be struggling as well. Ken was so right. I learned that my husband was struggling with some issues at the very same time I was reading Ken's book! I am now a Christian counselor and I share this book with anyone I can...I have to purchase another book--I can't get folks to return this book!
RECOMMEND TO EACH AND EVERY SINGLE PERSON!
I'm not a person who usually reads, however when I began to read this book, I literally could NOT put it down. I took the book to work, and read it every chance I could. I even would take half of my lunch break to read at least ONE chapter of the book.
Thank you Mr. Abraham for writing such a DYNAMIC book. It is showered down with wisdom within each chapter of the book. All sixteen chapters were superb!
A friend has borrowed my copy because she was not able to obtain her own. When she returns it - I will read the book AGAIN! I am recommending it to all my friends.

This book is great
It is hard to describe this book without sounding like a bookseller. It is explains the most complex concepts in very simple and elegant "cartoons", so it has the additional advantage of being fun to read. I read the whole thing just a couple of months.
WOW
Some concepts, seemingly obscure and esoteric became intuitively obvious with this book. A great ``picture book'' that will certainly complement any standard textbook in chaotic dynamics. I may sound like a bookseller. But, hey, this book is good!

Best and most complete book of radio I have ever read
This is the best and most complete textbook on radio I have ever read, the textbook is written simple and complete enough for anyone to get a strong grip on radio and vacuum tube electronics, the textbook follows radio development from simple crystal receivers to regenerative, to TRF and on to superheterodyne receivers, you will learn about battery eliminating, volume control, tone control, audio amplifiers.. you will follow radio history, through all the developments unlike most which just show you brief begining and end result, buy and read this book and you will know how a radio works and will be able to build a radio.. note you will be tempted to build more than one.. after reading a chapter you will want to build the radio from that chaptor... but after the next chapter you will find out the last had a disadvantage and find a better radio to build.. and like our great inventors build a better radio.. and it goes on.. this book is complete
Ground up education on Radio electronics
Previous release 'Third Edition' was a well written text instructing a novice in electronics on the development of Radio w/tube theory. Highly applicable to understanding transistor theory.

A new look into the Jewish history and their prospective on world events, quite different than the Christian prospective.
I found this book not only enlightening but quite enjoyable and very hard to put down.
A must read for any history buff.
