Lots of colorful characters of wild west history.
Reads like a lot of short stories grouped together to make the book. Parker is a unique person, trying to clean up the west. No Rooster Cogburn in here, but a lot of other people who are just as interesting. Good read and great for a history buff.

The light in Soviet prison
By resisting the Stalin regime and creating the organizations and the atmosphere that survived those dark days, the Rebbe inspired and enabled the rebirth Yiddishkeit in all the lands of the former Soviet Union.

It is possible that without the underground movement inspired by the Rebbe instead of refusniks and the massive exodus of the 80s and 90s, Russian Jewry might have dissolved in a haze of assimilation.

In The Heroic Struggle we have Rabbi Yosef Yitzchak's own account of his ordeal. As riveting as a contemporary thriller He writes: "... sensitive and talented authors would find much material for lengthy works on the nature of human feeling and conduct by merely depicting ... the ... two hours from my arrival in the prison ... " Actually the Rebbe hasn't left much for other authors. His narrative is vividly detailed, insightful and sensitive. From the remarkably detailed description of his cell to the penetrating analyses of his captors, interrogators and fellow prisoners, the Rebbe involves the reader in his experience.

A very good book!
When i first got this book i was worryed about it being boring, and it wasnt. once again issac asimov has put out a great book. He not only puts in the math to tell how and why things happen in Physics he also tell in text so that those whose Trigonomety and above skill arent that great can still understand it. He goes from Falling bodies to light waves to Ions and radiation to anti-particles if you are just starting out in Physics or need some more addvanced info this is the book to read. it however is not for everyone. Some may find it very dry reading. I, however found it very fasinating, and an excelent reference in explaining the basics of Physics.

I love these books.
Every science fiction fan needs a Hugo compilation book on their shelf. Forget "Legends" and that other stuff, which is always hit and miss anyway. Go for the tried and true lovely stories that you will read again and again until you grow old, die, and are buried with them. My favorite among this group is Asimov's "Super-Hugos" compilation.... For those days when you are weary of reading that epic 700 page book, buy one of these and dabble in lovely well-written sci-fi and fantasy. It's like little French chocolates. It makes you happy, and requires no effort to enjoy.

(10 out of 10: there's just nothing bad about them).
