great book for patrol officers
There are few books geared towards officers working the street. This one is written for street cops by a street cop who also worked as a detective & administrator. The forms & charts to aid street investigations are great & the book is spiral bound so the forms can be photocopied. The most illuminating parts for me were sections on how burglars think & how important effective patrol can be in detecting and deterring burglars. I feel better equipped to tackle the burglaries in my district now that I've read this book. The whole philosophy here can make you a better patrol officer, not just in working burglaries.

Best and only review for RCIS Exam
This is the only study guide available for CCI's cath lab exam. The format is very readable and the graphics extremely helpful. The real meat comes in the explanations - following the questions. The reader feels that Todd enters into a personal discussion with you on the topic of the question - why it is important, tips to remember, why the answer is correct and why the distracters are wrong. The cost is high, but worth every penny when you consider how much work and dedication have been put into it. If you want to pass the RCIS exam you will need these books. They are also good for training new cath lab employees.

See your business as an integrated whole
I originally used an older version of this book in 1991 when I took Wheelen's class "Strategic Management and Business Policy". The value of this book is Wheelen's methods of taking all the parts of a business and integrating them into a workable whole--the physical tool to enable such a transformation is the strategic business plan. I was only 20 when I read this book, and I was awestruck.
This was the most valuable book I read in college.

Scientific vindication of the cosmogonic myths in Genesis.
Patten doesn't know it, but he's unlocked the hitherto unfathomable Chaldean doctrine found in the babyloniaca of Berossus composed in 281 B.C., and arrived at the answer independently. This is truly a briliant theory. The Mars-Earth wars had to have happened.

Best book in the world
Nobody in my classroom wanted to read this book because it's a learning book. But when I saw it and picked it up, I knew it was my soulmate. This book has taught me a lot about loving God, being kind to others, and especially loving and respecting your family. And that's why I think other children should read this book. And I hope that they'll enjoy it as much as I did. Thank you.

a witty, lovable children's tail (lol)
...this simple tale of adventure carried out on four feet. The charismatic Cinnabar still holds his charm, and he leads the reader through his many adventures and astounds with his crafty and quick wits. Throughout the story the values of family values and friendship are explicit- this is a must read for any child, especially those who have a fondness for all things living.

Coker: A Mountain Man's Story
This is one of the greatest books that I have ever read. I don't even usually like stories of this kind, but this one is unique. The first chapter doesn't have as much action as the rest of the book does, but it introduces the story to you. After that, as you travel with Coker all the way to Oklahoma, you won't be able to put the book down. It is full of action and excitment, along with love and compasion. I can't wait until Wesley Arlin Brown writes another book!

Great analysis
This book helped to clarify what has been called the "corporatization of education" that is taking place not only in higher education but in education in general. With corporations looking to education as a potential profit mine, the mission of education as a tool for a democratic society is being eroded. Shumar takes the concept of commodification and analyzes this trend throughout U.S. history with great detail. Although this book is pretty academic, and the postmodern terminology can turn some people off, this is a valuable resource for everyone looking to combat the corporate takeover of education and work to make it for what it should be intended for, a key tool for democracy.
