a great great great great great great great great book
Dawn can't wait for this trip to California. Besides all the sun andfun, it's Dawn's first visit since jeff, moved back to live with their dad.California is better then dawn can remeber it.The beaches are beatiful, Disneyland is a blast, Californians eat heathy food! Plus Dawn's best friend, sunny, has even started up her own baby-sitters club. After one wonderful week, Dawn begins yo think she might want to....stay in California like Jeff. Dawn's a California girl at heart-but could she really leave Stoneybrook for good?

i live where the story is, so i know that the details r rite
this book is all about dawn's decision on whether to live in stonybrook or california. Dawn is usually in anaheim california, where I live, and visits the Anaheim Stadium (now Edison Stadium) Disneyland. . . and more. Most of the setails are right, but it is kind of outdated. still a very good book. i recommend reading the first book first, though.

Wonderful!
Dawn's Big Date is one of those books you can read over and over again, and still be entertained. Dawn is finally going to meet her penpal, Louis, who is also Logan's cousin from Kentucky. Before he comes to Stoneybrooke, Mary Anne gives a FEW hints and suggestions to Dawn about how she should look when Louis sees her, what make-up she should wear, stuff like that. Dawn bends over backwards before Louis arrives, picking out new outrageous clothes, tons of make-up, and fancy new hairstyles, just so she will give Louis a good impression. But when he finally arrives, he doesn't seem to like the new Dawn. Uh-oh... The side plot of this book is very good as well. Norman Hill is an overweight kid, who is being constantly teased by his sister and friends, and hounded by his parents. The baby-sitters want to help Norman out, but how? Then Stacey suggests that Norman tears one of his sister's mean drawings, and he begans to feel some self-respect, which is a tremendous help. Overall, this book was excellent. One of my favorite BSC books ever. Read it!

It's a pretty good book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dawn and Mary Anne double date.Logan is with Mary Anne, and Dawn is with Logan's cousin Lewis from Logan's old town in Kentucky. But when Mary Anne and Dawn are at the movies with them Mary Anne starts pinching Dawn and interupting her and doesn't let her talk because she doesn't want Dawn to make a fool of herself. So they start fighting after that. What will happen? Read and and find out.

Very Detailed
In Karen's Accident, it takes place in winter when it is icey. Karen has been told it is too slipery to climb in her treehouse. But she does it anyway. Karen falls and skins her spleen. She has to go to the hospital. Find out what happens in Karen's Accident BSC little sister #81. If you think that's good than read #2 Karen's Rollor Skates. I love the BSC. I got into it when I was 8, now I'm 10 and still a BSC Fan.

Ann.M.Martin uses very good detail.
I have not read this particular book, but enjoy many others as you would a plate full of strawberries and cream.

Karen's kittens is an realistic fiction story about a young girl who finds a stray cat in her toolshed. What makes her really excited is when she finds out that the cat is going to have kittens! When they are born she sends out birth annoucements. Karen picks out five special names, Tippy,Rosie,Ruby,Pokey, and last but not least, Bob. Sadly, she can't keep them, not even one. So,now it is time to give the kittens away. Finding five perfect homes for five cute, cuddly and playful kittens will not be easy. But, Karen is determined to try her best! So, she brings in pictures of them to school. Everyone loved them. But will their parents say yes to have one? I loved this book so much I read it over and over again. I learned that kittens aren't as easy to take care of as they look, and they grow up really fast into adult cats. I would recommend this book for anyone thinking about getting a cat. It takes a lot of responsibility to take care of an animal.

Karen's Lucky Coin
Karen's Lucky Coin

This book is about a girl who finds a lucky penny and finds a wallet full of money. The main character is Karen, who has blonde hair, blue eyes, loves to have fun at the fairs, and is very friendly. The story begins in early June; Karen is sitting outside talking with her friends when she finds a lucky penny.

This book has a hopeful ending. She wants to go to Fun Land, but she has no money until she finds a lucky penny when she finds a wallet full of money. My friends would like this book because it's about a girl that learns the value of the dollar who doesn't take money seriously.

This book tells the story of a girl that finds a lucky penny and finds a wallet full of money. The genre is fiction (not real). The book fits in a larger context-social because there was a lot of socializing in this book. I like this book because it is non-fiction (real) like biography.

This book is a powerful look at the concept of not taking money seriously. I like this author because it makes you want to stay and read it some more. With the other authors, I just read one chapter, and then I'm finished with the book. I read a book based on how interesting it is, if I like to think about it more. If it is boring, I read it fast to get it done. I like the book Karen's Lucky Penny because there's more adventure in this book than the other books I have read in the past.

Karens Witch
It was very good and interesting book. The author did a very good job in writing this book. I enjoyed it very much. Thankyou for writing it!

Karen creates a new holiday in a great book!
When Karen is going shopping with her Nannie, she sees a back to school display and is disappointed that her summer is almost gone. Since there are no holidays in August, Karen and her friends decide to create a holiday, named Augustania. To Karen and her friends, this is a big success and she and her friends will always celebrate this holiday! I would suggest this book to anyone because this has a lesson to teach and keeps kids reading!

A COOL book
This book is so neat, and it encoureges younger kids to believe that they really can make a differance. It all starts when Karen is window shopping downtown with her grandmother Nannie and she sees a back to school display in a window in Augest. School didn't start until next month! I won't ruin the rest of the story for you exept to say that Karen decides to create her own holiday, and things get out of hand. I know you'll love it!

Karen's Newspaper (Baby-Sitters Little Sister, 40)

"Karen's got the scoop...on the whole neighborhood!"
After seven-year-old Karen Brewer meets a news reporter for 'The Stoneybrook News,' she decides to start a kids' newspaper with two of her friends, Nancy Dawes and Hannie Papadakis, called 'The 3M (Three Musketeers) Gazette.' Instead of boring news that appears in the adult's newspaper, their first issue includes things that happen in their neighborhood, like Karen's stepbrother buying his girlfriend an inexpensive bracelet, Hannie's father going on a diet to lose his "spare tire," and a neighbor who loses his job. Needless to say, their first issue doesn't go over well. So they decide on a new approach, by learning from grocery store tabloids--only nobody takes it seriously. What will they think of next to put in their newspaper?

The ending to "Karen's Newspaper" is great and gives a good message: to respect other people's privacy. The entire book is full of creative ideas for young kids who are interested in journalism.

Making a newspaper
I think the books are awsome and cool. Way to go Ann M. Martin
