A perfect book for boring times in the day!
It was very good the way how Mary-Anne tries to help out but ends up doing EVERTHING! I like the way she gets tired of it and tries to relate it to Mrs Towne. (Mrs Towne is the lady that Mary-Anne helps out)

U will Love this!
This book was awesome! It was about how Mary Anne helped out an ederly neighbor, Mrs. Towne, who later on became her friend. But she only became her friend after they communicated. They had to beceause, unknowingly, Mrs. Towne was taking advantage of poor Mary Anne.

At first, I was skeptical about this book. It looked like Mary Anne was so dull she couldn't solve her own problems! But you can't judge a book by its cover, so I read it. Very good and well written. I liked it because Mary Anne really stood up for herself in the end, and that's what communicating is about: making yourself and your point clear to all who hear you. I was glad when Mary Anne realized that whether or not she hurt Mrs. Towne's feelings, she owed it to herself to explain HER feelings.

You will like this book if you have trouble sticking up for yourself, or if you just want to read it on a rainy Sunday, like I did. Rainy Sundays are THE best time to catch up on good reading as this.

COol!
I read this book in I think it was the 7th grade, and it's pretty good. It's about a book kids have at school and you pass it around to everyone and write annonymous good or bad comments about each other, it's a pretty cool book.

i have always loved ann martin style this is no exception
this is a wonderful book showing how the pressure of being popular can lead to real life tradegies and mishaps. ann martin shows that all teens have problems not just the poor ugly ones but the rich pretty ones also.

Stacy's Choice
I liked the book Stacey's Choice because Stacy was very mature and responsible. I liked the way she took care of her mom when she was sick and made the sistting chart for when she was in school. I think the neighbors were very nice to watch Stacy's mother. But in all the drama with her mom Stacy forgot she had to go to New York for a dinner in her dads honor. Stacy needed to choose between her sick mother or her vice president dad. I think her choice was very responsible.

An excellent book!
I loved this book! It really focused on Stacey's problem with her parents divorce. She feels she has to be with each one all the time. She ends up running around and ending plans early not to hurt her parents feelings. A good book for a Baby-Sitters Club fan!

A Moment of Magic
I enjoyed reading this book. It is very interesting and fun. One part that I felt was missing was descriptions. Kristy didn't actually describe what it was like to be the star of the play. She was rather passive to it. I can't understand it, since at my school I was picked to play the lead role, Maria, in "The Sound of Music", and it was such an exciting adventure, and so amazing to do. I was the center of attention, having never wanting it ever before. In fact, it opened me up so much, personality-wise. It is something I will never ever forget. I felt that Kristy did not convey any of this.

I enjoyed reading this book a great deal. It was so similar to the way we put on our production at school. All the excitment, the anxiety, the tears and fights, the magic that went through the audience. The most amazing thing that I felt when I was on stage, and Jackie Rodowsky says this too, was the ability to make the audience laugh. You are give such a great force, only because you are the one in the spotlight. I think everybody ought to experience the stage at least once in their lifetime, because there is none like it in the whole world.

One of the best!
This book was great. But I don't understand how Dawn thoughtthe sexist.I mean what is she stupid she should have just gone withthe words of the play otherwise this was one of the best Baby-sitters Club books I've read in ages. So thankyou very much Ann. I really appriciated this book. But I would just like to say to at least change all the girls ages because you have been keeping them all the time in 8th grade it is as if they keep on failing but they aren't so please place them in year 9.

very good, but not the best.
this book was a very good book, but it made dawn seem very immature in my opinion. she pretty much sees things from her point pf veiw and doesn't even try to understand sunny and why she runs away. other than that, this book is very good. it is kind of sad that her and sunny aren't friends anymore after all those years. I really think it's neat that the new baby looked like dawn, and that dawn liked the baby when she thought she might not like her alot. I recomend this book to people who like this series or the dawn and sunny books especially.

There's Always 2 Sides To The Story......
I have read Sunny #6 & Dawn #7. I thought that these were 2 of the most intersesting books in the series because you can see 2 sides to things. Sunny & Dawn have a big fight which starts in Sunny's book. She describes it in good detail. Dawn gets mad at Sunny after Dawn says Sunny put Carol's life in danger (find out how in Sunny's diary.) Then, in this book, Dawn recaps the fight and tells her side of the story. Some things seem blown out of preportion, but I still think that this was WELL worth my reading time.

This book was great but Dawn was a BRAT!
I love this series! I have read all of them!

This particular one was weird because Dawn was being stupid. It is not all her fault but she is still mean to Sunny! When Sunny came over to give Carol the flowers she should have said something besides that Carol wasn't there. She should have told Sunny she wanted to talk. But I guess Ann M. Martin just wanted to make the book interesting. But Dawn was a real BRAT!!!!!!!!!!

Interesting & poignant at once!
Poor Kristy! She had a rocky start in her new neighborhood when some of the local kids turn out to be snobs & make fun of Kristy & the BSC. It must have been awful for Kristy when Shannon & her gang pointed at Kristy by the bus stop & ridiculed & humiliated her. I don't know if I would have been so quick to welcome Shannon into the BSC. Shannon's initial behavior kind of turned me off. The sad part when Louie the dog had to be put to sleep illustrated how painful it is to lose a pet. It was good that Kristy had that good cry then had the funeral for her dog. I know she really loved Louie.

I loved the babysitters club books when i was a bit younger.
This is a really good book about Kristy and how she feuds with dim Shannon Kilbourne, the nasty girl up the street. Some of their pranks are dead funny and it is also slightly tearjerking when it is louie the dogs funeral. Top quality stuff here!

Kristy and The Snobs-- Good Book
I thought This book was really good. For anyone who loves babysitters club books has to read this one! Its a good book about Kristy and How she deals with Snobs in her neighborhood. It almost has a surprise ending to me! Its a really good book.

Good Book!
Ducky is faced with many dillemmas in this book- it is sometimes upsetting. The only problem with these books is THEY ALWAYS HAVE A HAPPY, FAIR ENDING!In Ducky, you were SURE something bad was going to happen at that party, and it did.But lots of times it has a much worse ending to thay happening.I'm not giving away what happened for th9ose who haven't read it!

..
I really, truly enjoyed this book. It was so deep, it really caught the reader and the reader's attention. It was beautifully written with plenty of detail, and is a very realistic journey through Ducky's life. I have read all of the California Diaries books that have ever been made, and this was actually probably my favorite. If people say that his life could never be so depressing--that's not true at all. Many suffer through the same sorts of traumas. The great thing is that you always want to reach for the next book, because it doesn't seem to have an ending many a times. It always keeps you wanting to read more, because of the way it attracts the reader. This is definitely a five-star book, but I reccomend reading the other first 4 diaries before this one, so you can understand what Ducky's friends are going through, also.

A book full of thoughts and feelings.
I think this book deserves a nine because it is confusing in some parts. I didn't think Ann Martin would write a book about a guy because all her other books have been for girls. I kinda like it when Ducky says that it's hard to say "me" in his journal, so he just says "you".

It could have been better.
I found the book quite entertaining. It made me feel like I was in Europe again. I was a little sad when I had realized that bsc only went to a couple of places. Also, it is VERY fictional when it came to the part of Abby meeting the queen. I mean, come on! THE QUEEN. I would suggest renting the book from the library 1st. If you really like it, then you can buy it.

A must read BSC book!
This book was really good. Although not everyone likes it mostly because it's not realistic, I really liked it. It had a lot of adventure, action, and suspense to it. So I personally think that this book was really good. Great job you're doing, Ms. Martin, and keep up the good work!

Go across the world ... with the BSC! The BSC is going global! Kristy, Stacey, Abby, Jessi, and Mallory have signed up for their best school trip yet: a week in London and Paris!

Stacey can't wait to shop and museum-hop. Jjessi's excited about a special dance performance. Abby's dyying to visit the BSC's little princess, Victoria Kent. Mal's looking forward to meeting her distant cousins. And Kristy finds love... when she least expects it.

This time, the Baby-Sitters are going to have plenty to write home about. What is going on about Mary Anne, Claudia, Dawn, and Logan? Their at a playground camp. So what is going on about the Baby-Sitters' adventures? Read this book to find out!

This is not an unrealistic premise...
It seems most reviewers are stuck on the fact that a public school would send children on a trip to another country. How odd. Yes, schools send their children on trips to other countries. My little brother has the opportunity to go to Nova Scotia with his seventh grade class this summer for ten days. Also, I went on a trip very similar to this my junior year in high school- to London and Paris- over the summer for ten days with my french class. I enjoyed this book as much as my little sister, who's 11. Enjoy the wonderful world Ms. Martin creates. These are great books for young readers!

Simply Amazing!
Wow, this book rocked. I am so happy about the Sunny & Dawn thing--but I was so sad about the Sunny's Mom thing. The way Ann M. Martin writes the CDS (California Diaires Series) is truly amazing and I'll admit this--I felt as if I knew Mrs. Winslow (and all the characters)and I felt so sad about the latest thing about her cancer. Read this book--but don't start with this book if you've never read the CDS. It rules!

Great, Intersesting Book
Dawn and Sunny are still feuding about that pot of stew (see Sunny diary #6). But, there is a surprise ending having to do with all of that. Here's basically the plot in a nutshell-Dawn is dying to go see a group in concert called JAX. Her and Amalia go to get tickets, but they're sold out. Then, Ducky calls saying he would like to take her, Amalia, and Sunny with him. Surprise! Dawn dosen't want to go, but then she can't give up seeing JAX. So they all end up going with Sunny & Dawn bickering along the way. Sunny & Ducky get drunk and Dawn's dad has to come to the concert. After Dawn is grounded, Sunny's mom goes to the hospital. Read the book to find out the ending.

Gotta read book
I think this book was interesting and fun. The characters are cool. Ducky is fun and smart. I feel that he was drinking because of peer preasure. Sunny seems to be a little unrealistic to me. but she is dealing with her feelings differently than i would so maybe that is why she doesn't seem the best. Maggie is my favorite. she seems really real. she's got preasure on her from her dad so she's obbsessed about how she looks and her weight. Amelia is also realistic. She's down to earth and smart like my friend katy. (Hi katy)Dawn is also great. She';s spoiled, and obbsessive (like me) but i think she has presure too. Jill is the most stupid and unrealistic character. She is a little baby and just makes me want to barf. (in #13 Maggie, she's WEIRD) the book is real and if you want to read a book that's funny, sweet real and something everyone should like (unless they don't) read this book

WE HOPE YOU LIKE THIS BOOKKKKKKK!

It All Started With Kristy's Great Idea
While watching her mother struggle to find a baby-sitter one evening, Kristy Thomas comes up with an incredible idea to start a baby-sitting club, so people like her mom won't have so much trouble locating a decent sitter. First, Kristy has to organize the members: Mary Anne Spier, her best friend; Claudia Kishi, a fellow classmate at Stoneybrook Middle School; and Claudia's new friend, Stacey McGill. Second, they advertise in the local newspaper and distribute fliers. Now all they have to do is wait for the calls.

On their first meeting day, all four baby-sitters miraculously receive jobs for the week. Stacey baby-sits for Kristy's younger brother, David Michael, and falls for Kristy's older brother, Sam. Kristy unknowingly takes a job for two Saint Bernards, Buffy and Pinky. Mary Anne saves Kristy from the dreaded job of baby-sitting her soon-to-be stepbrother and sister, Andrew and Karen. And Claudia, unfortunately, gets the worst job of all: baby-sitting four rambunctious kids when she had been told it would be only one (mellow) child.

Despite the uncertain outcomes of their jobs, everybody in the club considers Kristy's idea a success. They're making plenty of money and doing what they do best: baby-sit.

This is a great series for 8 to 12-year-old girls.

Excellent! You can't put this book down until you are done.
Kristy watches as her mother places several calls to try to find a sitter for her brother, David Michael. She sees how troublesome it must be, and how upset David Michael seems for causing all this trouble. Then, it comes to her in a flash! Her best idea ever! The Baby-sitters Club! A few days later, Kristy, Mary Anne, Claudia, and Claudia's new friend Stacey, are waiting eagerly for their first call. At 5:30 exactly, Kristy's mother call for a sitter for David Michael. Stacey gets the job. Then, Kristy gets a job with new clients. The children are Pinky and Buffy. They are both two. When Kristy goes to her job, she is shocked to find out that Pinky and Buffy are St. Bernard dogs. She has an awlful time. Stacey, on the other hand, has a great time playing Candyland with David Michael and Sam. Sam is Kristy's 14 year-old brother, and Stacey has a crush on him. The Baby-sitters Club does not seem to be off to a good start. Kristy's pet-sitting job, Sam keeps calling crank phone calls, and Stacey has a secret that she will not tell.

A good, funny book that anyone can enjoy
'Kristy's Great Idea' was the first book in the Baby-Sitters Club Series that I started reading which was last year, 1996. Ever since then, I had searched for more Baby-Sitters Club, in bookstores and in my school library, and it was then I began to form into a BSC Fan.

About this book, anyway, it was excellent and especially funny, with the two dogs, B & P; Karen and Mrs. P./M.D.; Sam's prank calls and the first part, when Kristy had to write the essay on decorum. I have read a lot of BSC books so far, and when I read 'Kristy's Great Idea' all over again, it led me to realize how much the BSC members, their lives, and the BSC itself has changed.

D23H again.
