Exciting and fun...who knows what will happen?
Baby-Sitters At Shadow Lake is a very exciting super special of the BSC. It is when they spend vacation at Mr. Brewer's cabin. They find the vacation impossible to resist. Exciting, fun, laughter, and enjoyment will fill your mind when you read this book.
The baby-sitters are having more fun and excitement here!!!
A simply great book, lifting up reader's minds. This storybook tells of Kristy and her gang, who were at Shadow Lake in Kristy's father's cabin. They never knew what they were gonna get!!! Dawn, totally "mystified" over the "monster" in the lake, finally finds the answer to her questions. The rest find romance, (especially Stacey who hooks up with Sam) laughter, joy (spending a night alone!), and of course - fun! Together with the younger kids (Karen, Andrew, etc.), they form a splendid story one must never miss

The Whole Set!
I started when I was 8, and I'm proud to say, I finished the whole set by age 10. I don't read the new books as they come out anymore, though. No, I didn't buy them here, or even buy them all. I have about 40 of them, and the rest I borrowed from the library or friends. I've always loved the books and I think they are the best books out there for girls my age. They are always interesting, and deal with topics kids relate to. Every girl my age should read them if she has the chance. Over the years, I've come to know and love the characters, and I also love to read the mysteries, superspecials, and everything else. I even have the boardgame, the movies, and the old tv shows from the disney channel on tape. Note: A great companion to this series is The Complete Guide to the Baby-Sitters club, which is kind of like a BSC dictionary. Now that I'm the age of the girls in the books, I never started a babysitting club like I had planned, and I don't even read the books anymore. Yet, I can't help smile when I see them in the store, and they'll always hold a special spot in my heart. So, if you have a daughter who likes to read, this is the perfect present for her!
I love the BSC
I love the BSC. The very first one that I read was: Kristy's Big Day. I started when I was 7 years old and continued reading them until I was about 12. Now I am 21 and I have started to collect and read the books that have come out in the past 9 years. I think I like them more now, than when I was younger. I am sad that this wonderful series had to come to an end. Thank you Ann M. Martin for creating friends for girls all over the world!!

Pretty good
Karen's Big City Mystery was pretty good. I think that it was kind of odd though. They gave too many trying not to be obvious suspicion on one suspect. So of course it was that person who did it in the end! But other than that it was pretty good, and I recommend it!
Karen by KARA ,GENEVA, NY
My book is called KAREN'S BIG CITY MYSTERY There was a girl named Karen, who went to her mom and her brother Andrew. One day while Andrew was at pre school there was a robbery at Karen's mom's apartment so when Karen found out so she wanted to find the burgler. So she sent out to find the burgler. Meanwhile she meant a person named Matt and Karen thought that he was the bugler. But then one day Karen talked to Matt and come to find out he was working on the same case. So they teemed up to find the burgler. My opinion of the book is I liked how the creators teamed up and did detective work to find the burgler. If you want to find out more information and who was the burgler read this book KARENS BIG CITY MYSTERY.

Getalong little cowgirls
My daughter Callie will be heading off to a Dude Ranch with her grandparents next summer. She loves horses and is very good both on and with them despite her age -- 5 years old. I borrowed this book from the library to help her get in the mood after her grandmother told her about the trip. It was her first "chapter book." We read at least two chapters each night. She would beg me to keep going even when her eyes were swollen with fatigue. Her breakfast banter with her father each morning was filled with information she learned from reading the book. While she may be disappointed if her dude ranch experience doesn't exactly match the Arrow-A, she has a real understanding of what to expect at a Dude Ranch now that she's read Karen's Cowboy. She learned a number of other lessons as well and gained some insight into the lives of kids' whose parents are divorced. I would definitely recommend this book -- and more importantly, so would she. She told me she was going to ask for this book for Christmas so she could keep it forever and read it to her little girl someday.
Best Book Ever!
I think this book is very good. Andrew, Karen's brother is as timid as a mouse. As soon as he heard a wolf howl, He will hide behind something. I think he is really funny. Karen and her little house family is way out west at a dude ranch run by a real cowboy! But then Karen found that her cowboy friend, Jonathan Wayne ( whose short name is Jon ), has a big problem with his ranch. Then Karen decided that she and her friend that she made at the ranch, Jenny should help him.And their plan works! But when they all have to saddle uo and head for home, she and Andrew missed Jon.

all right
I think this book was okay. Sure, it could get a bit cheesy. I think it was very nice of Karen to lend the doll, and I think it was foolish of Nancy to think it was hers! I think this was definetly one of the better Karen books.
A neat book!
Karens doll is a great book.I loved it so much that I cut one of my porcialen dolls hair and named her Hyacynthia(mum didn't mind she just wanted to know why I did it).
Karen is thrilled when her nanna and grandad bring her back a baby doll from England.Karen has to take extra-special care of Hyacynthia. Then Karens best friend Nancy has to have her Appendix removed. So Karen sends her Hyacynthia. But Nancy thinks Karen GAVE her the doll. Then they have a fight and Karen is forced to lie to her mum.Poor Karen. She is in a big mess. How can she get herself out of this one?

It is a very very good book.
Have you ever been in a spelling bee? Well a girl named Karen was. Karen's teacher Ms.Colman gave an annauncement that there was going to be a spelling bee in their class. Will Karen win the spelling bee?
A great book filled with excitement!
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys books that have a lot of action in them. I only wish the author would make her books more realistic. It is not very likely for a second grader to become the most succesful junior speller in her state, and karen seems to have unusual luck in contests in a number of Ann M. Martin's novels. Overall, I really liked it and I think you will too!

one of the best Little Sister books
I'm not 8, but I was when I became a fan of Baby Sitter's Little Sister, and eventually the Baby Sitter's Club. This was one of my first karen books and I've been hooked since. I think Karen's Surprise is one of the best baby sitters club books and extremely underrated. It was well written and if you want to know what the surprise was, read it to find out!! After all, it's Karen's Surprise!

Are There Really Vampires?
This starts out with a family moving in the middle of the night. They moved quite often, and aways at night. Nine year old Jonathan is starting to wonder about his pale parents. I think it is a good book.
