C. Diary fans alert! Early adventures of Sunny & Dawn
This might be of intrest to those who've already read the California Diaries, to meet the charictors and see Sunny and Daawn as- gasp!- friends! (J/K) This is not a very interesting book to read just for the sake of needing something to read, as it just talks about the WE LUV KIDS Club and their wacky adventures. 9-12 is a bit too mature for the book. Younger kids might enjoy it.

Dawn and the We Love Kids Club is Great!
I think this book is a great book, although the title doesn't go with the main plot of the story.

Dawn's dad has just got engaged to Carol, Dawn's soon-to-be mother. She and her brother, Jeff do not like Carol because she tries to act cool. Dawn plans to secretly go to Stoneybrook to see her mom and stepsister, Mary Anne. Will her plan work? to find out read the book! Enjoy!

AN INTERESTING GLIMPSE OF SUNNY
I liked this book because it gave a good overview of the California characters. I like Sunny because she is a well thought out and plausible character. Jill was just too babyish for words and was barely out of the carriage. She needed a sitter! I didn't care for Dawn who always seemed like a bigmouth and a potential bully. Sunny was an interesting and well created character.

Claudia's Not a Cheat
After having studied really hard for a math test Claudia is thrilled to have gotten an A. However she is accused of cheating. Her friends are behing her and set out to prove that she did not cheat. After all she studied hard and deserved the grade she got. I wasn't very impressed with this book. Most teachers would actually take the time to listen to both sides of the story to find out who cheated instead of jumping to conclusions. A teacher would probably also have them both resit the test immediately. This book is not nearly as good as some of the others.

This is a must-have
I could not wait to have this book.It is one of the best. But it also made me mad.I can't believe that claudia's teacher said those things. He was like,Oh claudia,You are such a bad student. You must have done this. One of my teachers would have been fair and listened to both sides.I liked that In this book Janine was portrayed as a helpful big sister instead of a genius from another planet.

If you are going to read it be sure you have some time!!!!!
This is one of my two favorite BSC Books and I've read almost all of them! I highly suggest you read it!

pfffft
i really do not know why mallory wanted to join a club with that pack of nerds. who's with me??? they are, right? maybe she had nothing better to do with her time, i guess, besides writing and watching after her snot-nosed sibs. oh well. the book is completely stupid, by the way. but read it anyway. it's a bsc staple.

Mal and the snobs
Poor Mallory is excited to join the Babysitters Club but doesn't expect them to give her such impossible tests and initiations...

Welcome Mallory
Mallory Pike has decided she wants to join the BSC. But the BSC gives her hard tests, and questions that probably no one in their grade could answer! But then Mallory meets Jessi Ramsey and they become fast friends. Jessi has LONG legs so she dances well in Ballet. Jessi hasn't been treated well because she is black, which is VERY unfair. Jessi and Mallory decide to start their own baby-sitting club. Read the rest to find out!
This book's moral is to treat others well and fairly, or their feelings will be hurt.

It was Nice and enjobable.
It was totally wonderful. It was exciting and enjoyable. I loved it.Did you know that a lot of hard things happen in the BSC but still the books are good. I like this one. Lot of people should read it and I think they will love it. It is fun to read. A VERY VERY good movie for enjoyment and for learning different hard times and friendship. I loved the movie.

It ruled!! No other words for it...well, maybe a few. =)
As a guy I thought, "Aw man!! Girly movie" but, after a while of watching I got into it...now I watch it more often than my little sister!!

YESSSSSSS!
Wow! The movie is finally here in Finland, too! It's a very good movie (and book, though) and I really enjoy seeing it, even since i've seen (and read) it, I'll say, about 20 times already. I taped it when it came from TV, so I can watch it as often as I want(Which is pretty often). So I just want to say READ THIS BOOK AND HAVE FUN AT YOUR XMAS HOLIDAY!

This book was boring.
This book bored me. What kind of parent would make their kid do things constantly when they did not like the activites? This was the only book I did not like out of all the books I've read and I've read a lot.

I thought that this book rocked!!!
I really liked this book. I thought it was the best "Claudia" book of the series that I have read.

Claudia meets a kid genius.
Claudia is not good in school. when she has to baby-sit for a genius, she finds it very hard and irratating. Then she sees that the girl likes art a lot. Claudia loves art. They draw a lot together.

DAWN IS NOT MY BEST CHARACTER!
This book is good but not one of the best. Dawn goes crazy trying to make everyone like her, recycling and reusing. I like that Stacey finally stood up to her, not taking her obnoxiousness anymore. Dawn deserved that. I also like the subplot, when Stacey and Dawn decide to teach their charges about ecology for their project. A good read on a rainy day.

THROW PIES AT DAWN! BOO, DAWN!
I don't like Dawn. It is as simple as that. She is a California cliche -- blond, surfer, health food hound. That is all just a stereotype.

In this book, she rams her environmental interest (obsession, really)down everybody's throat. It was good that she was able to organize a recycle team at her middle school. It was good that she encouraged others to get involved. What was NOT good was the way she wanted credit for the whole shebang. That pitiful girl was so greedy for credit it was sad. I liked it when Stacey, a fellow sitter complained that Dawn was driving everybody bananas by taking her environmental issues to an extreme. She all but put out a citizen's arrest on folks who weren't vegetarians or who threw away paper, glass, plastic and metal products. I think this girl needs to be recycled. I was glad when she moved back to the West Coast.

.
When Dawn does a project for school on saving the planet, she gets carried away... and now she's driving her friends crazy! I really liked this book, one of the best in the series.

No Actual Plot
I think this book is unusual. For starters, why is it called 'pet sitter' if that's not even the main plot of the story? Actually, there is no plot to the story, unless you consider the club elections, which I won't. Anyway, not very exciting. Question: Why is it that the books about Mallory & Jessi are less interesting than others? Do you agree?

Retraction
Hello. I believe one of the reviews here is mine. I take back what I said, after reading that other people loved the book. Didn't mean to hurt anyone's feelings. Bye

A Different Book
I bought this book 3 years ago and I loved it! Jessi got a baby sitting job at a new clients house, instead of finding a house of kids, she found a house of PETS! The story starts from there. One day while she was sitting, one of the hamsters got sick, so Jessi tooh him to the hospital, and well you propably figured out that "he " was actually "she". Yes, the hamster was not sick, she was pregnet, and she gave birth to 10 hamsters! The clients were so happy that they gave one hamster to Jessi(named Misty), one to Mallory(named Frodo), and one to Jackie Rodowsky(named I don't know). It is a Great book and I highly recomend it to you.

kind of stupid
I think that this book was boring, and a bit stupid. Who would be so upset about a goldfish? I wasn't that obsessed about my goldfish when i was in second grade, and who would have a whole funeral for a fish?

A Goldfish bothers Karen!
This book was good. The witch was so kind to Karen.I recommend this book.I felt so sad for Karen and Crystal Light but I am glad that in the next book she got a new goldfish named Crystal Light the second. At first I was so happy when Karen got a new Goldfish, then I became so sad when it died.I have given this book 4 stars.I recommend this book for Animal lovers.

A really good book!
I read a book called Karen's goldfish. It is a very good book. Karen has a pet rat named Emily. Her parents are divorced so she lives at two houses. She has a pet at
Her mom's house and not a pet at her dad' house and
She wants a pet at her dad's house. She also has brothers and sisters at both houses. One day she gets a goldfish, and
named her Crystal Light. One Time her brother was watching her. And he killed her Karen was sad when she found out. They had a funeral. Then she got a new fish named Crystal Light the second.

It's getting old...
I have to agree with Spacecat...the Babysitters have been in 8th grade for about ten years now. Oooo-kay. I used to read these books all the time but lately they seem really preposterous.

The Best
This book was odviously one of Ann Martins best pieces. She used the best transitional words. So, I would definetely give this book a 5 and beyond rating!!!!!

Funny!
My name is Elizabeth.I have read Kristy and The Sister War at least 5 times! Kristy's friend Shannon is a very busy person. Her two sisters, Tiffany and Maria want to spend time with her! They try to make Shannon's life better, but after a while they make her life worse! One of the things Tiffany and maria do is putting spaggeti in her Backpack. To find out what else they do, READ THIS BOOK! I't is NOT at all stupid, like some people say it is!

I WISH THAT ZERO STARS WAS A CHOICE!
Oh, my. I can not describe how incredibly angry I am at the author for writing this junk. This teaches young children that they should attempt to aid in the arrest of a thief-a job that should be left to the police and grown adults. Action like this book suggests could lead to homicide, suicide, or serious injury. Books like this should be banned from our school systems. I can not believe that an author of childrens literature would ever put her readers in danger. This should stand as a warning to parents everywhere- DO NOT LET YOUR CHILDREN READ SUCH RIDICULOUS LITERATURE- IT WILL SPOIL OR END THEIR LIVES!

I think that that first review is bull
That lady just wants something to complain about and a simple childrens book is the best she could come up with. I think that lady should open her eyes and live in the real world with everyone else. Quit over protecting everyone and let them grow up. This book had great storyline and every child should read it.

One of the best mysteries!
Claudia and the Mystery at the Museum was excellent. I loved it. Unlike some BSC mystery, you didn't know who the theif was until the end. It was very, very, enjoyable, and I highly recommend you read it!
